The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! F’drel wasn’t sure what about his face made people want to give him messages to deliver to other Weyrs. Did he look like he had nothing better to do? Did he look friendly and approachable? What was it?

Whatever the reason, he’d just been handed another missive to transport by one of the brownriders, who was apparently too busy or important to take it himself. So, sighing, F’drel told the brownrider (whose name he wasn’t sure of. It probably started with a ‘K,’ half the brownriders here had names that started with ‘K,’ he was convinced.) that of course, he would deliver the letter, right away, sir, no problem, sir. He may have said it with a bit more bite than usual, but the request got on F’drel’s nerves today.

Still prickling from the interaction, F’drel stalked into his weyr and called out to his dragon.

“Miri, they want us to go to Fort again. Another letter for the Weyrleader.” They’d delivered two for him yesterday. Of course, no one told the greenrider messenger what he was ferrying around, so F’drel had no idea what any of them were about. “I’m sure we’ll have to wait for a reply again, so you can visit with your friends again.” Because of course, Halomirth had friends at Fort while her rider knew just about no one there, so she didn’t mind the message carrying duties as much.

I don’t want to.

Except, apparently, today.

“Why not?” F’drel asked irritably, pulling out his riding gear to prepare for flying Between. “You’ve never minded before.”

Well, I don’t want to now.

F’drel sighed. “Unfortunately, dear, we don’t have much of a choice in the matter. There’s no one  of lower station we can foist this onto. We’re it.” He slipped on his jacket and headed into Halomirth’s portion of the weyr to put on her riding straps, only to find her prowling around the space, growling lightly and lashing her forked tail.

“Miri?” He asked at the unexpected harshness from his usually sweet dragon. “What’s wrong?”

I. Don’t. Want to. I don’t want to go to Fort. I want to Fly. Halomirth hissed, giving an insistent stamp with one of her front feet. F’drel blinked.

“You want to…” He started, uncomprehending at first, but a moment later his eyes widened, as the meaning of her words became clear to him and the feelings passing through their bond solidified. “Oh no, no no, Miri, we have to deliver this letter, you can’t — you can’t Fly right now, Miri, please, Halomirth, I’m not —“

I’m ready, and so are you. The green said definitively, still lashing her tail back and forth. We’re ready. We’re ready to Fly and we will. And so saying, Halomirth flung herself from the weyrledge and started to climb through the air, with F’drel watching after her, helplessly, frozen in place. Once she had reached a decent height, she trumpeted an invitation.

Come Fly with me!

Yay for my first flight thread!
Gonna try to keep this short, Miri is a 2 turn chubby little green, she won't be that hard to catch, aha.
Convince me through your tag/PM/Discord who would make the most interesting winner! ;p

Sometimes, there were things R’nya didn’t want to do himself and despite not being his Second, D’hys was handed the task. They had formed an odd working relationship that had started back in Katila when he played Wingsecond to R’nya’s leader. Of course it didn’t help that D’hys had easily caught on to the stoic bronzerider’s woman on the side that he didn’t want Rhaedalyn to know about. He helped keep that a secret and continued to do so, just like he continued to be the heavy hand of discipline and look into matters in his own special way.

He was currently in Ista doing some information collecting on a brownrider that had asked for a transfer to Fort and a scuffle that involved several young riders at the two Weyrs. It was rather tedious and straight forward work and D’hys almost believed R’nya was purposely getting him out Fort for the afternoon. In a way, he likely was. R’nya could be rather observant when he wanted to be and he no doubt noticed the bluerider was getting a bit stir crazy and just tossed him something to do. At least it did provide a change of scenery and gave him a little leeway to have some fun.

He was just leaving the weyr of one of the young troublemaker when the trumpeting call of a green dragon drew his eye upward. Who is she? She didn’t look familiar, but that wasn’t surprising if she was young enough to be from an Ista clutch. He tended to stick to Fort’s greens, making only special trips to Ista around the time Rilaleeyth was due given Zeianth’s fondness of her.

She is young. Halomirth of F’drel, according to Vydoriath. He also says she’s rather pleasant. Zeianth’s tone gave him away more than the information that he was relaying. Zeianth could be rather standoffish and didn’t always communicate with other dragons, but he did have a weakness for the overly sweet ones. Typically that meant greens but some blues had made it on his list of those he wanted to befriend and protect. Rilaleeyth, Aveleth, and Veeth were some of his favourite dragons to pass the time with and if this Halomirth was anything like them, then D’hys knew it was pointless to argue with his dragon. Not that he would anyway.

Maiden flight? D’hys asked, as he made his way along the path, not yet sure where to go but headed in the direction of where he assumed a young greenrider would live.

Yes.

It’s been a while since we had one of those. He glanced back up at the pudgy green, feeling Zeianth’s lust starting to creep through his veins. Should be an easy win as well. R’nya can wait a bit longer for his reports. Go get her. Another greenrider to add to his collection. D’hys grinned at the thought as he slowly let Zeianth’s urges take over as the blue dragon took off from his resting place to give chase, just as he increased his own speed to find his target.

It was nice having a day off.

Not that he really did a lot on his busy days. He wasn’t really as ambitious as his bronzeriding twin that was sure to lead a Weyr to greatness or even Indivara where she was training to become a Weyrlingmaster. Nope; he helped with various chores, made sure Candidates were comfortable and felt like they belonged at the Weyr, and otherwise, just socialized. But even he needed his down time from all of that and usually spent it at the beach down a ways from the more popular stretch of sand that everyone seemed to frequent.

He was just coming back from a few hours of tanning and swimming when he shivered with the ripple of lust that went through him. “What was that, Vy?”

Halomirth has taken to the sky. You didn’t hear her call?

R’vi shook his head, though he had still been somewhat daydreaming as they took the long way back instead of the quick trip between. Sometimes they both just liked the freedom of flying and the peace that came with leisurely gliding. He focused now, however, as he thought on Halomirth. He knew F’drel a bit, remembering the younger man from his Candidate days and recalled he had graduated not too long ago. He was a good looking man and R’vi was of the opinion that every green deserved a proper trail of followers, especially on her maiden flight.

“Drop me off near their weyr and go have fun, if you’d like. You deserve a good chase,” not that his dragon needed the encouragement. R’vi was starting to struggle to keep his mind his own, at least until they landed. He hated when he was on Vydoriath’s back when the lust took over. It was a really strange experience that gave him a headache with their flickering viewpoints being so close to each other. It was like he couldn’t focus in on anything. Odd as it was, he liked when they were seeing different things entirely when they shared their vision like that.

A few minutes later had R’vi on the ground outside of F’drel’s weyr, a hand on the wall to steady himself as he braced for the wave of flight lust to rush over him when Vydoriath took off again. This, he supposed, was one of the rare times where he was ambitious. He enjoyed flights, win or lose, but he always wanted to win for his dragon’s sake and R’vi cheered the blue on as he let go and joined in on the chase, instincts leading him to the greenrider.

Emboldened from their last visit and with B’jin’s words still in his head about his son, Z’rin decided to go pay a visit to N’mor. It had taken the bronzerider six months to return his clothes and make a social call but Z’rin felt two weeks was a sufficient enough length of time this time. He was surprisingly fun to spend time with which left the bluerider kind of craving more of it. He wasn’t sure what that said about him since N’mor was a bit younger than him and he apparently didn’t like blueriders, but he had yet to toss him away so Z’rin kept trying his hand at forging a friendship and getting to know the man. So he had sent word the day before via a borrowed firelizard that he’d stop by the following afternoon with snacks if N’mor provided the beverage.

Unfortunately his plan was interrupted when they popped into Ista Weyr and began their descent just as a green bugled her needs and rose. Varralath called back to her before Z’rin even knew what was going on. I’m going to chase that green. That is what’s going on. Varralath’s voice was huskier than usual as his needs and instincts took over and Z’rin was thankful he was holding onto the reins, otherwise he’d have fallen off his dragon from the emotions coming from him.

Z’rin sighed, as Varralath, for some reason, still landed at N’mor’s weyr. He stumbled his way to the ground, fighting the lust that so desperately wanted to takeover. As the dragon took off to chase, the human barged his way into N’mor’s home, fighting every instinct to go the other way toward the greenrider that was waiting for him. “I’m sorry. He’s stubborn when he wants to chase,” Z’rin offered in way of apology when he found the bronzerider. He stood in front of the younger man and froze for a moment as he stared at N’mor. He really was easy on the eyes, wasn’t he? He’d been doing his best to ignore those thoughts when they hung out, but with the flightlust all but controlling his every move now, Z’rin couldn’t stem the flow of thoughts.

“I’ll come by later if you’re home!” He quickly handed off the bag of food he had prepared to N’mor and bolted out of the weyr to head toward F’drel. He ended up getting to the man’s door the same time as a few other eager blueriders and they shoved their way in to get closer to their goal.

Halomirth is Flying!

K'tir chuckled low in his throat at his dragon's enthusiasm. He had heard the call and felt Ghaeth's interest but he hadn't known who was doing the calling. He wasn't sure he knew who Halomirth was or who her rider was, though.

Yes, you do! You were just speaking with her rider.

K'tir frowned for a moment and then burst out laughing. The kid he had picked to deliver his letter to R'nya and Rhaedalyn? It wasn't even anything important and he could have sent it by one of his firelizards but his kids were playing with the flitters at the moment and decided a greenrider could do it. He didn't trust a bluerider enough to do anything that required thinking without their dick so he was left with finding a greenrider and F'drel seemed responsible-looking enough.

Apparently he should have examined the dragon instead of the rider.

Go, have fun, K'tir mentally waved Ghaeth off, though he knew he didn't have to. Ghaeth was nearly bouncing with excitement and doing his best to wait for their mutual agreement in chasing this one. K'tir almost always gave in considering the sweet temperament of his dragon and how he still chased golds that were too large for him to keep up with. K'tir was probably a rarity in that he preferred his boy chased greens as it gave him a better chance at winning.

Besides, in this case, it could be win-win for both of them. If Ghaeth won, or lost, K'tir would still be around to make sure his letter wasn't destroyed or misplaced. Changing direction, K'tir headed back to where he had seen the greenrider as Ghaeth's euphoric and somewhat playful lust started over taking him. His last coherent thought, as it often was, was whether or not everyone else felt the dragon's lust in the same way or if it was because of how his dragon was like a big puppy and so innocent.

Z’ia yawned lazily as he sprawled beside Aveleth on the edge of the Weyr Lake. The morning had been spent bathing and oiling his dragon, carefully making sure there was no dry or damaged patches of his hide. Z’ia could be many things, but when it came to his dragon, nothing was more important. Now though, it was time to relax and enjoy the bright winter sun. It wasn’t warm, not by a long shot, but it was comfortable, and not for the first time Z’ia was pleased he’d chosen to spend his time at Ista.

Absently thinking about making his way to the kitchen, or maybe sending Plague to fetch him something to eat (the green firelizard glared at him at the very thought) Z’ia was slightly surprised when Aveleth lifted his head and turned his attention towards the edge of the weyr, though not towards their own home. Z’ia raised an eyebrow as he felt the tingles of lust along their bond. “Who is it?” he asked curiously, as Aveleth seemed to consider his options far too seriously. Z’ia couldn’t remember the last time his pretty blue had decided to give chase.

Halomirth, he said gently, watching as blues seemed to appear out of nowhere. Aveleth sighed, recognising several of them and not sure he wanted to pit himself against them, though Halomirth was one of the sweetest greens he spent time around, and he enjoyed her company. Z’ia stood up, stretching.

“Come on,” Z’ia grinned, hugging his dragon’s nose affectionately. “You have to honour your friend,” he teased, though he had also noticed Zeianth appearing in the air, and he knew that Aveleth often felt inferior when it came to giving Chase alongside his long-time friend and protector. When the young green’s screech filled the air, Z’ia scrambled atop his dragon. “Come on, love. Take me to her rider’s and show her how much you love her.”

Encouraged by Z’ia, who would never do anything to upset him, Aveleth dropped Z’ia off near F’drel’s weyr and eagerly took to the chase, his lust gentle and warm as it flowed through Z’ia’s veins, causing goosebumps to rise up along his arms and a tremble to work its way down his spine. It had been far too long! Grinning, he elbowed D’hys cheerfully in the ribs as he entered the fray, blue eyes seeking out the human prize.

Halomirth bugled excitedly as dragons began to join her in the sky. They were all here for her, because they liked her, wanted her. She gave a showy little twist, preening a little as another blue showed up to chase her. Catch me, catch me! Halomirth cheered with a powerful sweep of her wings to push herself forward.

In the weyr below, F’drel echoed her, smiling at each newcomer to the weyr, going up to greet them before slipping away from their reach. The way his vision split between his own and Halomirth’s was rather fascinating, though F’drel hardly had the focus to spare on the technicalities, just on how she felt, how she flew. He laughed out loud when the brownrider who’d given him the message to deliver walked into the weyr, at the same time Halomirth crowed proudly seeing the brown who had joined the chase. Well, F’drel thought vaguely through the haze of lust, at least he’ll know his message hasn’t been sent yet. The letter itself was… somewhere? The inner pocket of his flight jacket, probably, her usually put documents he had to transport there. But where was that? F’drel remembered putting his jacket on, before Miri had leapt into the sky, but he didn’t seem to be wearing it now. Had he taken it off? Had someone else taken it off? F’drel had no idea. He couldn’t remember, not when Halomirth was flying and playing with the dragons who chose to follow him…her…them? Ah, shard it all, who cared. As long as some randy bluerider hadn’t thrown it off the ledge entirely he’d find it later. All that mattered was this.

Flying like this was intoxicating, Halomirth decided, though she was starting to get a little out of breath and her wings burned a little. She turned again, looking back at the field of pursuers. She knew some of them, but some she couldn’t recognize. Some of the blues she didn’t think she’d ever seen. Were they from other Weyrs? (How exciting! Maybe she could make new friends from this!) She knew the brown, Ghaeth. He was nice, Halomirth liked him. And Vydoriath, she liked him too. And — Aveleth, oh, Halomirth really liked Aveleth! She dipped a wing to slip closer to him, thinking that maybe she’d like it if he were to catch her. But before she could reach Aveleth she felt claws on her, snatching her from the air. Halomirth shrieked in surprise as she lost control of her flight and tumbled towards the ground with one of the blues she had never met.

Congrats to Zeianth of @'D'hys'  ( Insulting Truths )
