Indivara hadn't meant to take so long in getting around to see Jada, she really hadn't, but the past few days had been extreme - to say the least! Never mind Indivara's face being shredded into pieces, that was nothing compared to the shock she'd felt when she had found out the woman who had been one of her teachers, and was quickly becoming a friend, had Impressed to gold. Indivara's nose started to scrunch up, before it pulled at the tender stitches holding the deep cuts together, and she let the expression die down. Frowning was the least of her desired expressions at the moment, but throwing tantrums hurt too much, and she was trying desperately not to become hysterical and angry with the decision the Weyrleaders had reached as a form of punishment for her sneaking out onto the Sands they think she should have been knowledgeable enough to stay off.

Indivara, in reverse, was of the opinion that they should have known better than to keep her out of the Candidate classes in the first place, and her thoughts were spiteful as she slipped into the Weyrling barracks and cast a dark glower in the direction she knew G'rem and his dragon were of a habit of occupying. The girl couldn't see or hear anything, but that didn't really surprise her. It was growing quite late, and the Weyrlings would be crashing. Indivara had no idea if Jada were awake, and was slightly doubtful of it, but she was pretty sure she wouldn't get a chance to see the older girl if she kept waiting for the "proper" moment to arise, like people had been telling her. There were no proper moments when a baby dragon was involved! It was a hit or miss life of sneaking in when you got the chance, and Indivara had finally found a gap in her own busy few days to sneak up and see her friend. Sure she wasn't about to be busted by the Weyrlingmaster, Indivara slipped quietly through the hall.

She had a rough idea of which room was Jada's, and as she approached it quietly, the girl slipped along the side shadows, her feet almost silent as she crept. She was still dressed in the outfit her mother had chosen for her that morning, though it felt like a lifetime ago. Her hair hadn't stayed neat for very long, and was dancing around her tortured face in wisps, most of it had been re-tied back at the base of her neck with a strand of leather, but it rarely did as it was told in any case. When the child finally reached the door she was sure was the right one, Indivara paused for a moment and considered. She could have the wrong room, and she'd rather not alert Jada's class mates to the fact that Indivara was sneaking (once more) around baby dragons when she shouldn't be.

Snorting softly to herself, Indivara carefully twisted the handle and pushed the door open a fraction, sticking her stitched up face in just far enough to peer around the edge of the door. Her blue eyes narrowed as she searched for the form of human or dragon, and could spot neither. "Shards," she whispered, and prepared to duck back out.

7th day, late Autumn. It had been almost 3 full days since Krypth had been shelled, along with her 16 siblings, and Jada was still searching for a moment of peace. Krypth was still harassing her all night, her golden nose close to Jada's person at any given moment. Jada's arms were so incredibly sore that it hurt to move her fingers sometimes, but her dragonet had needs; there was feeding, oiling, scratching, Candidate lessons, more food, more oil and then paying close attention to how much Krypth ate and at what times. For herself, she had barely slept at all, for every time she started to sink off, the dragonet would nose her, oftentimes asking Is it time to play now, since we will not get in anyone's way? or Will you scratch me at [insert location here]? It itches. Babies weren't supposed to itch this sharding much. Not already! Were they? She didn't hear any complaints from some of the smaller dragons, though she had been afraid to ask Allendris if Vyaniorth was having the same complaints. Not after the way Krypth had been so aggressively negative towards the larger bronze.

On the same note of having no time, Jada hadn't been able to go visit Indivara at all. Everyone simply wanted a piece of her. No, not her. Krypth. The dragonet was like a tourist attraction: it was everyone's first time in Keroon, and they all wanted to catch a glimpse of the Lord Holder's prized Runner! It irritated her to no end, and that passed its way to the gold, who became even clingier, trying to reassure her human of the love she bore for her bonded. But Jada knew Krypth cared for her; she could feel it like something palpable under her skin, a living breathing sensation that unfurled itself just under her skin. That didn't mean she needed to feel that velvet nose pressed to her side all the time, running Jada into tables, chairs, walls, people, doors...

It was late evening now, after dinner, and the two females were stumbling into the Weyrling barracks, one exhausted out of her mind and the other just clumsy. Krypth could feel that her bonded was tired, and feel an undercurrent of something wrong just under her skin; the gold had made up her mind that not even she would disturb Jada's sleep tonight- it would be her first night sleeping alone, in the stone bed that D'ren had said was suited for her needs. An extra pillow and blanket had been arranged for, but only one of each! That was probably Jada's fault, Krypth had decided; D'ren had seemed like such a nice, accommodating male.

She spotted the other person before Jada did, and chirped loudly to get the stranger's attention. Who was that? Why was she looking in their room? Was it one of Jada's friends?

Only many turns of sneaking around where she shouldn't be kept Indivara from squealing in shocked surprise as she spun rapidly, tugging the door shut in the same motion and glared in the direction from which the chirp had come. That noise had been far too loud! Was the dragonet trying to get Indivara caught? The girl scowled at hte little creature, and hissed an insistant "Shh!" between swollen, stitched up lips.

The girl would have added additional information, but talking any more than was absolutely required had quickly been determind as a bad idea. Indivara was currently invested in getting all her talking done in as few words as possible, with minimal facial expressions. Regardless, Indivara's blue eyes brightened significantly as she turned them upon Jada and she lifted her right hand to wave happily in exchange for a smile her features weren't comfortable with expressing.

"Jay!" Indivara more breathed the letter seh turned into Jada's name, than actually pronounced it. Her voice was a low murmur behind the breathy exhalation. While the girl didn't grin as she usually would have, her eyes remained bright, sparkling with mischief and delight at seeing the obviously exhausted harper. "Tired," her voice was full of a smirk she couldn't display as she ommited most of the sentence to latch onto the main word, obviously aimed at Jada and not a statement of her own being at the time. That same amused gaze turned to take in the sight of the small dragonet.

"Gold," she snorted, shaking her head tentativley, the stitchery across her shoulders, chest, and reaching for her neck sensitive to too much movement. "Sh'lda known," laughter was in her voice, and she slipped closer to Jada, just wary enough of Krypth to indicate her respect for a fresh bond, rather than tepidition that the dragonet would hurt her. When she was sure Krypth wouldn't freak out immediately or too badly, Indivara threw her arms around Jada's waist and hugged her tightly, cautious not to pull, tug, or press on stitches.

"'orr'ile, right?" She said, stumbling badly over the word 'horrible' even as she stepped back out of Jada's personal space. Cautiously, the girl tilted her chin up so the taller woman could see her face in the tentative light of the hall. Where moments before her eyes had been bright with amused delight, now they were swimming behind tears she refused to let fall, and her bottom lip trembled. It was a motion that caused her entire face to flare into pain, but the girl was unable to prevent it. Biting her lip hurt worse, she had found. She swayed for a moment, and then threw herself at Jada, burying her face with both caution and wild abandon in her friend's chest, fingers clinging desperately to the woman's shirt.

A golden head tilted, looking at the small figure who had stitched her and the stitched face. Her young mind could not associate this more lively figure with the lump that Jada had been hovering near on the platform at her Hatching. Krypth also wasn't sure she liked being told to shush in her own residence. Still, she could feel Jada's happiness at having this person come before them, so she reached out for the girl's mind and spoke to her and Jada alone. That doesn't look comfortable. She stretched out her neck, trying to get a good look at the stiches. What are the lines on her face?

"Stitches." Jada replied, and wrapped her arms around Indivara in a return hug. What could she say to Indi and her lined face, which was... just as Indivara had so aptly described. Horrible. She could see the emotion on Indi's face and replied to it, clutching the girl to her. Behind them, Krypth crooned. So much sadness in her bonded and the little one. Darting down the hall, she pawed at the door to their room, trying to get it open.

Jada, Krypth's voice was for her bonded alone, Bring her to our room. I will make her better.

I'm sure you will, Krypth. It was strange, trying to think it to her dragon rather than say it aloud. "You were close on our room, but not quite." she guided Indi down the hall quickly to another room, opening the door. Krypth darted in, claiming her place at the foot of the bed, eyes whirling with excitement."I'm very tired." she admitted once the door was shut, leaving the area lit by glows. "Krypth likes to ask me questions when I am trying to sleep." It was so good to see Indi's eyes full of life, though the motionlessness of her face was heart-wrenching. "And she's very gold. Figures, I guess."

What's wrong with gold? Krypth asked them both indignantly. She couldn't change the color of her hide, and she certainly would not have let another dragon have her Jada! Jada was hers!

"They're not," Indivara breathed, even as she clung to the side of her friend, fingers still twisted in Jada's shirt. Kerrin had gotten the brave front, the anger, and the deep loathing for the situation she found herself in. She should probably feel guilty about that, but Indivara was aware of the strange foundation their friendship was built upon and knew the older weyrbrat would understand - did understand. The young girl was fairly sure apologies had never been a part of their fairly abusive relationship, and she certainly wasn't about to be the first to throw a sorry at her friend! If he wanted sorries and sweet words, he certainly wouldn't hear them coming from her lips!

In contrast, the Weyrleaders had gotten her more meek side, as the child curled up on herself and did her best not to draw more trouble down on her head from their hands. After B'jin's lashing, Indivara had no desire to become the next victim of the blood thirsty brownrider, or the grumpy bronzerider. Her face was scarred plenty to cover that, and she had had enough broken bones over her brief history to cover that, too. She didn't need her back covered in nasty lash marks and more stitching. She assumed the Weyrleaders had agreed with her musing, or had been mellowed by the sight of her stitched face and shoulders. Indivara shivered, and pressed tighter against Jada's side as the harper lead her down the hall to where Krypth was waiting.

The goldrider to be was getting the side Indivara had, for the past three days, been keeping to herself or occasionally her mother. Tearful, pitiful and deeply depressed. "Sorry," Indivara whispered, retracting herself carefully from Jada at the weyrling girl's words, taking them as a polite request for Indivara to excuse herself. She lingered as Jada continued speaking, the corner of her lip twitching at the woman's comment about her dragon. When Krypth's indignant question bloomed through her mind, Indivara gave a soft little laugh, more breath than sound. Unfortunately, stressed and high strung as she was, Indivara's breathy giggles turned into breathy sobs with very little warning. The tears that had been lingering, just waiting, suddenly toppled down her face in large drops.

"S-s-sorry," she choked, swaying on the spot as she fought to control the strong wave of emotions she usually bottled away. Dragonriders didn't cry. Bronzeriders didn't cry! Especially over something so pathetic as one's features!

It was a little eerie to Jada, to see her student so devoid of life. Indivara was a sparkling girl, a burst of fire, passion and intelligence rolled up into one package. This demure, sad little creature was not the girl that the Harper remembered from only a sevenday before, and it hurt her to see. She could feel Indivara's fingers tangled tightly in her shirt, and her arm around the other girl was as tight as she dared make it. She wouldn't let the girl get away until she had assured herself that the child was going to be fine. She had precious enough friends, and Indivara was counted among them. How could she not be?

"There is no need to be sorry for anything." Jada shook her head fiercely, patting the small bed. Krypth crooned in agreement, dropping her fat little body down in front of the door decisively. If Indivara planned to leave, it wouldn't be out the door! At least not until someone else said so. She held out her arms as giggles turned to sobs, her own face scrunching up. "Don't you cry." she said fiercely, eyes watering dangerously. "You're the strong one. Come over here and pat my head and call me a wherry."

Wherry sounds good. said Krypth wistfully. Don't call her a wherry, Indivara, it will make me hungry.[color=#CBA60F]

Indivara flung herself into Jada's open arms, fingers twining in the woman's shirt as the girl curled herself up in Jada's lap and buried her face delicately. The stitches were uncomfortable, as wounds objected to Indivara's rough treatment of herself over the course of the day and not enough numbweed. Her lips were swelling once more, from too much speaking and the lines under her left eye were itching, irritated by the tears she shed without thought or concern. The girl had come so very close to losing an eye. Oh, how horrible she'd have looked then! The girl's breath caught in a half sob, half laugh as she choked, startled by Krypth's unexpected input.

"K-kay," Indivara spluttered, pressing tightly against Jada even as she shifted her small body so she could better cuddle the woman and see the little gold creature she had been chosen by. Fingers, unusually clean for a child so often covered in mud and dirt, danced delicately over Indivara's face. As she wiped at tears with trembling finger tips, Indivara's eyes were wary as she attempted to remove water without upsetting stitches or poking at the bruises that littered her face. The sickly colours were still setting in, over looked in favour of the shocking array of carefully applied knots of sinew that Talian had used to tie her face back together.

The young Katilan gave a very indelicate sniff, flinching unconscious when the motion of that, too, tugged at her stitches and she ran a delicate touch over the main line, from above her right eye to where it ended on her left cheek. As her fingers fell away, Indivara tucked her head under Jada's chin and turned her vivid blue eyes upon Krypth, looking at the little queen with curiosity. Quirky comments rested just behind her teeth, unable to be expressed and appreciated, and Indivara sighed softly. She needed a little beastie of her own simply so she could talk! Her eyes lit up suddenly with cheeky mischief and she focused that gaze solidly on the little dragonet.

Wherry! she thought with mischievous delight. Imagining whole herds of them, she painted them wild and completely unrealistic colours and stared harder at Krypth, begging the little dragonet to read her thoughts. Indivara knew she could bespeak her mother's dragon, and some like Grith would occasionally pay enough attention to hear her thoughts. She'd never tried mind-speaking with a dragonet, and was more amused by the idea of purple wherries than anything else. Mind-speaking was something that took ages to learn, from what she understood; but then, what did she know? She was just a mauled little Weyrbrat, who was barred from the next Clutch - whenever that was going to be!

Indivara's wicked amusement was chased away by that thought, and she cuddled closer to Jada with a depressed noise of discontent. She would Impress! The Weyrleaders could go jump between if they thought barring her from the sands would prevent her. Blue eyes hardening with determination, Indivara harrumphed and tugged up the edge of Jada's bedfurs, tossing it across herself and tucking it under the young goldrider's thighs.

"You're going to get thicktail, you greedy little thing." Jada chided her bonded gently. Her cheek pressed to Indi's dark hair, quietly offering support to the girl. What could she say that someone else hadn't told her already? That Indivara wasn't (most certainly) keenly aware of by this point in time, well before she had even made the decision to approach the barracks. Jada had to give her approval on that- in the girl's position, Jada wasn't sure she could have risked coming face-to-face with the creature that had almost killed her. Then again, Jada was also something that Indivara was not.

Cowardly.

'That was foolish.' 'You could have died.' 'I was so worried.' So many things Jada wanted to say to the Weyrbrat, so many things that she simply wouldn't say.

No, Indivara was probably getting more than enough of that, and while Jada could give all the false pleasantries of 'It's not that bad', 'It could be worse' or 'I barely noticed it', she felt that her student deserved better than that. Not to mention the lie would blare like a klaxon to the child in front of her. Jada reached onto the table, pulling off a clean piece of linen, one that she would have been using at a later point on her bandaged arms. "Wipe. Don't get any extra oil. on your face. No crying, no fingers." The skin of that pretty face was blotched a sickly brown-and-yellow, with bruises of a pale green and still-darker colors. Red slashes, sewn together, stark symbols of Indivara's lack of caution and over-abundance of confidence.

Jada watched as her friend straightened, and Krypth's golden head tilted, eyes whirling. Wherries! Krypth's voice was joyous.

"What?" the Harper asked, and glanced at the girl next to her as the blanket was tucked around them. Indivara seemed miffed, and Krypth's tummy was threatening to rumble. As the fur tucked under Jada's legs, she leaned against the wall; The dragonet moved onto the bed, sliding her head into Indivara's lap. "Go ahead and tell me." Jada said at last. "Have you heard anything from the top? How long til you heal?"

Indivara had been hearing it all, from the moment she became conscious after Talian had arrived on the scene, to every time she turned around. For the most part, it didn't bother her - the people that started in on her first where those that mattered most and it was important for them to be seen to scold her, embrace her and freak out. Indivara drew lines when random members of the Weyr started in on her, however, and she was pretty sure the next person that gave her that look was going to get a face full of her own personal claws. A girl could only take so much, before losing the plot.

The child wasn't afraid of the dragon that had sliced her face - though she had yet to meet him again - but not because the encounter wasn't frightful. The girl's nightmares spoke volumes for the suppressed emotions and feeling she was carefully hiding not only from others but also from herself. She was, simply, determined not to be afraid. UnImpressed dragonets were dangerous - everyone knew that. UnImpressed dragonets were wild with need, and would do outrageous things. While she didn't doubt the fact that Hoth (she had learned his name early) would be a dragon with a streak in him that was unsavoury, she was also well aware that the likely hood of the little bronze adding to her collection of scars-to-be was incredibly unlikely. Dragons just didn't maul people for the fun of it. Even the horrible Larrikith was only heartlessly rough when distressed.

Indivara giggled at Krypth's delighted word, and the confused response it elicted from her rider, shooting Jada a sly look from the corner of her eye, Indivara's lips twitched playfully but didn't form the smile. Gently taking the piece of linen that Jada was offering, Indivara carefully wiped at her eyes and gently dabbed at the stitching that had been dampened, eyes widening at the pain the motion caused by determined to dry them. She'd been scolded for her bathing methods before dropping by to see the Weyrleaders, and had no desire to further irritate or cause deeper scarring than she was already destined to have.

"I went to see the 'ders at noon," Indivara murmured, her words dramatically slurred as she whispered them past swollen lips. Carefully licking the corners, but avoiding the lines of careful stitches that were centered, Indivara continued her slaughtered speech. "'ned from next clutch." She snorted, the sound distinctly lacking in ladylike charm. "'ever that is." Her voice took on a sour, grumpy tone and she hissed between her teeth. They should know better than to think banning her would keep her off the sands! Mauled or not, Indivara had no desire what so ever to stand on the sidelines... She'd just sneak on again. And again. And again. And again Until she got her damned dragon!

While she didn't say any such thing, the flare in her eyes did.

Jada could still feel the younger girl's blood on her hands; The blood-stained, torn robe had been taken and burned. Seeing the red wounds now, she could remember vividly just how red they had been- She squeezed the girl thoughtlessly, for her own comfort. Smiled when Indivara giggled, glad she was able to hear it now. "What mischief are you up to, Indivara?" she tried to keep her tone stern, but failed. She was too happy to have a friend with her tonight, not to be alone in a room like this. Not that Krypth wasn't company, but she had gotten used to having a roommate. And Krypth wouldn't be laying next to her- maybe the thought was making her lonely.

It took her a moment to translate each slurred word, and each one made her lips thin. "They are doing what?" her tone was indignant. Banning Indivara from Standing? "They do realize that won't keep a dragon from coming and getting you, right?" She gave the golden dragonet a meaningful look. Krypth inspected one paw, innocent as a new-born human. "And goodness knows what you'll do in order to get back on the Sands, am I right?" her tone was mild. Better to have the people on the Sands and supervised! "What will they do, tell your little bronze that he can't have you, you're not allowed to Stand?"

Indivara shouldn't have a bronze. Krypth's voice was firm. She deserves better. Bronzes are nasty little creatures. Maybe she could go for a nice Brown or Blue instead? I like Blues. So nice, so respectful. Not as intelligent as Browns, but infinitely better than a Bronze. And so sweet. She needs a dragon like Veeth, Pistoth or Gallifreth. It would make all of them much happier in the end if Indivara got a dragon that Krypth could approve of. A Green was much too stupid for a smart girl like Indivara. Her voice was thoughtful.

Indivara turned a very smug look upon Jada, her blue eyes sly as she watched her friend's reaction to what she had said (or, more accurately, tried to say) and she snorted in amusement when Jada questioned her. "Think it 'est." She replied, eyes rolling skyward before focusing back on the goldrider and she snuggled closer. "Dust 'or ains."

As Jada had said, the Weyrleaders were insane if they thought banning the girl would keep her off the sands. Seeing a greenrider lashed until his back was a bleeding mess hadn't stopped her. Being torn to shreds hadn't caused her to falter in her desire to have a dragonet of her own - a bronze, especially, despite it being a baby bronze that had so cruelly marked her for life.

"'ld say that anyway," she laughed, highly amused. "Girls don't ride 'onze." The girl threw Jada a quirky wink, blue eyes bright and alive within her bruised and battered face. Raising her left hand, she used the palm to rub at her eye of the same side. The claw mark that came so close to taking her right eye meant she had to forego touching it.

Cuddling close once more, Indivara turned her gaze upon Krypth, giving a uniquely delicate yawn as she tried to to have her face contort with the motion too much. Her eyes narrowed slightly, watching the the change of colours through the young dragon's faceted eyes. "'at's she a'ling 'out?" Indivara asked softly, amusement and suspicion both wrapped in her light voice, though the words themselves were slurred as she dropped letters that required too much movement.

The yawn surprised her, even though it shouldn't have. Coming from nowhere, it was loud and lasted for what felt like a whole candle mark; when Jada finally could close her mouth, her eyes were damp. "They think they think." Jada grumbled, resting her head on the other girl's shoulder as she scratched at her bandages idly. They itched; she'd washed them well, but she didn't dare put any kind of lotion or oil on them to help with the tingling. Besides, she got enough of oil just trying to care for Krypth already. Her bandages were oftentimes saturated in the stuff!

It really was nice to have another person next to her, and Krypth's eyes did not light with jealousy as she watched her human and the other girl cuddle together under the blanket. Jada's pleasure was Krypth's, and the gold liked to feel the bubbles of happiness rising and popping. The gold gave a low croon, dragging her pillow and blanket to the side of the bed, deliberately avoiding the small hollow that was carved for her needs. She wanted to be able to reach up and touch the girl she had chosen anytime she wished, and in the bed, she couldn't! Girls can ride whatever they wish. the dragonet said mildly. It is the only the dragon which might say different. I suspect that Jada wanted a blue. But she loves me, so I do not chide her for being silly and having wishes. After announcing this to both girls, the dragonet settled her head on the pillow that they had appropriated for her use- and relaxed.

"She talks a lot." Jada told her friend, deciding that she would not pass on Krypth's opinions of Indivara's worth. Somehow, she didn't think that the two females saw things quite the same way. Whatever had caused her dragon's low opinion of her future partners? She leaned over, plopping her chin on the head that was leaned against her shoulder. Indi's yawn led to another of Jada's own, and the girl grinned. "I'm supposed to be having a meeting with the Weyrleader myself." she told the other girl. "Got anything you want me to add to my list?"

It didn't occur to Indivara that her close snuggling with Jada might be fuel for a dragonet to become jealous. It wasn't that she was oblivious to the odd moods and possessive natures of the young beasts, but rather that she simply didn't consider her actions to be anything worth getting upset about. There was also the rather simple fact that while she considered golds to be exceedingly hard work and boring in the long term (what kind of dragon could breathe no fire?! Never mind being sands-bound) they were also intelligent and she supposed they had a sensible head on their shoulders. Had Krypth been the type to become jealous of Indi's curled up position in Jada's lap, the girl would have been sorely disappointed in the little creature. Krypth was Jada's, and Jada was Krypth's. The two were as firmly entwined as day and night. What was there for a dragonet to be jealous about?

Indivara's amusement was tangible as the young dragonet's voice wove softly through her mind. The weyrbrat didn't bother to respond. She was certain Krypth was perfectly capable of picking up on any surface thoughts if she wanted to, and speaking was something Indivara decided she'd done enough of for the day. Her lips were sore and swollen, and she was tired. She cuddled closer to Jada, listening to the echo of the older girl's heartbeat where her ear was pressed to Jada's collar. "Mm," Indivara agreed, amusement wrapping around the placid hum, as her blue gaze flicked back to where the little golden queen was curled up peacefully.

Jada's question had Indivara's head shifting carefully so she could peer up, mostly at her friend's jawline, with an undamaged eyebrow twitching slightly in question before the girl's expression smoothed out. "No," Indivara whispered, curling closer once more and listening to Jada's heartbeat placidly. She was tired and Jada's yawns told the weyrbrat she wasn't the only one. But sleep could surely wait, could it not? Staying up and talking all night sounded much more informative. "Why 'eeting?" She slurred sleepily, curiosity none the less paramount in her voice. Indivara was, and always would be, an incredible busy body.

Krypth's hum was soft, her tail swaying gently. Jada was happy, and Indivara was happy, and all of them were tired.

Jada closed her eyes as Indivara's head fell to her breast, head resting over Jada's heart, relaxing. A few minutes of cuddle time wouldn't be frowned upon, nor was it amiss. "Stuff." she mumbled to the girl, taking a slow, deep breath and trying not to drop her jaw as she yawned again. She didn't want to disturb the other girl. Shifting down, Jada worked herself into a mostly-reclined position, head against the wall. "Got... lot..."

The next morning dawned earlier than Jada was ready for, with Krypth's 'good morning' bugle blaring from an unusual angle. Below, and to the left. There was a weight on her shoulder, and warmth next to her, and Jada yawned lazily. "Hush." she told her dragon, and Krypth made a disgruntled noise. her blanket was dragged off, exposing her bare feet to the cool air, and there was weight and the sound of snuffling, then a wet tongue invaded her ear.

Rise and Shine, lazybones. It is dawn! Krypth's bulk dropped onto her legs, pinning her to the bed. If Indivara is going to escape before Weyrling lessons start, then she had best go now. G'rem will be making his rounds soon.

Indivara released a soft, breathy giggle as Jada fell asleep slumped in a position that didn't really look all that comfortable. Well, that was Jada's issue, the girl decided with a flair of amusement as she wriggled herself down carefully and curled up against Jada, her head balanced delicately on the older girl's arm to avoid putting pillow-pressure on her face. Sighing softly, Indivara gave the furs a jerk and a flick, settling it over the pair of them before she let sleep claim her.

---

Indivara jerked awake with a start at the sound of Krypth's bugle, eyes wide in her face as she pressed back into Jada while her brain tried to catch up to her flight response. When it did, she turned a glare on the little dragon, looking distinctly ruffled at being woken before dawn. Wait. What?!

"'ore sleep." Indivara grumped, stealing the furs and jerking them back over her body even as she curled up within them, making a nest as she rolled herself up. "G're go jump 'tween." Peering out of the blankets enough to level a dangerous glare at the hatchling, practically daring the little creature to make her get up, Indivara then turned to look at Jada. "ta-tah," she said, the smirk in her voice though it didn't make it onto her lips. Smug, Indivara wriggled deep into the blankets, with absolutely no intention of leaving them for at least another two hours.
