Perhaps his wife was right; he was spoiling their sweet new servant lately. She had said it with a smile and had been teasing since she was fond of Ekshan and the work he managed to get done but she was still right. Gabrin pointed it out to Ekshan that evening as well when he went to check on the man while Tanriel was detained with another bout of sickness brought on by the pregnancy. He had taken the man to a Hatching, a first for them both, and as much as Gabrin enjoyed it and found it educational, he knew Ekshan had been beside himself with joy at being at a Weyr and not a single word needed to be said with the excitement that shone in his eyes.

Now he was being brought in style to the Telgar gather for Turnover. He was certain the boy and his family would have attended at least once in the past but now he would show up in fine clothing and mingle with the upper class that didn’t always branch out from their own small circles. Gabrin had even teased Ekshan as he straightened the younger man’s shirt that he could play lordling that night if he found someone worth bringing home. Tanriel liked to visit with her family in the main manor and Gabrin was fine with that request, stating he would even join her – the breakfast that family had for the first of the turn was always amazing. So their home would be empty save for their small staff and Ekshan would be left in charge and practically encouraged to find someone to play with.

When Tanriel was ready, they headed to the field that would play host to their evening of drinking and debauchery. Gabrin had to admit that even he was surprised when he spotted several dragons milling about on the edges. He hadn’t heard about the dragonriders being invited from official or unofficial sources. Given the sour look on the Lord Holder’s face when they approached him to pay respects a few minutes later, it was clear it was just as unexpected to him. Gabrin had to suppress a smirk and needed to remember to congratulate some of the riders later on.

As Tanriel went to find her sister, Gabrin pulled Ekshan to the side after procuring a glass of wine. “I think tonight will be far more entertaining than expected.” A sip was taken and Gabrin nodded his appreciation for the vintage before casting a glance around for the dragonriders. They weren’t that hard to spot since they seemed far livelier than the residents of Telgar Hold and Gabrin couldn’t wait to see what would transpire. “Feel free to mingle. Perhaps one of your new friends from the Hatching is here or you can go make some new friends. It never hurts to be cozy with someone on both sides of the argument, remember.”

That was a conversation he had had with Ekshan on several occasions. Telgar, the Halls, and several other Holds were opposed to the return of their once mighty protectors but Gabrin’s family ruled High Reaches and was related to a greenrider. They had been easily swayed to supporting the dragonriders once more. Gabrin himself had made early contact with the Weyrsecond and was working his way into a comfortable position of trust amongst that side. Around the lord of Telgar he always played nice for that side but he had yet to fully commit one way or the other – though he was betting on the dragonriders winning out in the end. It was just a matter of when that would happen.

“Go and enjoy yourself, Ekkie. Tomorrow, I expect to hear all about your adventures.”

Gabrin was probably right in that he was spoiling Ekshan just a little, but the former cotholder felt quite certain that he deserved it, and he always tried to show grateful for the gifts and trips bestowed upon him. Ekshan the grubby cotholder was a far cry from Ekshan the quiet, but efficient assistant who gave no one any reason to suspect he was anything more. Gabrin knew the truth of course, having been the mastermind behind the deception, but most, like Tanriel, saw only a dedicated assistant. He was slowly but surely growing a little more self assured as he settled into a life with many more freedom than he previously stifled existence of the family hold.

Pherhaps it was his increased confidence that brought about Gabrin's suggestion about getting to play lord of the hold while he was off visiting his wife's family. That wasn't the sort of thing Ekshan would have attempted without encouragement and his mind mulled over the suggestion as he finished dressing. Gabrin may have been experienced with such things, but Ekshan was far less skilled or certain about his ability to charm anyone into his bed. He worried his lower lip between his teeth and he contemplated his chances of success.

Eskan trailed dutifully after Gabrin and Tanriel, making note of the presence of a number of dragonriders as well as the
displeased look of the Lord Holder's face. They may not have been invited to the celebration, but didn't seem to be about stop them from attending and enjoying themselves. Traditionally they likely would have been honored guests and even if
some holders were giving them dark looks a number of people were still showing some discrete interest. Ekshan's understanding of the issue was rudimentary. It was mostly the ranking population who were not in support, those without
rank saw a chance for themselves or their children at a better life.

He offered a nod of agreement after Gabrin pulled him aside to share his observations. Ekshan could hardly disagree. Life
in seclusion in the South had made the rider far less inhibited than most of the Northeners tended to be, well unless you'd gotten a fair bit of wine into them first. "I remember." He assured the man, knowing Gabrin himself was friendly with both sides and committed to neither, not yet anyway.

Gabrin's admonishment was still ringing in his ears as he ventured off to procure a glass of wine. He was going to need the liquid courage it would provide. He quickly reduced the glass to one last swallow and he wandered through the crowds of revelers. The dancing square with its enthusiastic couples was given a wide berth as he continued to scan the crowd, unsure of what he was looking for, but hoping he'd know it when he saw it. He replaced his now empty glass with a full one, taking a long sip to reduce the chance of spilling any when he finally spotted a familiar face.

He'd met K'tir at the last hatching. A good looking Brownrider who's personality was a better match with Ekshan's than some of the more animated riders. He'd also been kind enough to answer his questions about the hatching and dragons in general. Ekshan lifted his glass to his lips for another mouthful letting the warmth of the alcohol melt away his usual inhibitions. He wasn't drunk, but he'd had enough wine now to make approaching the Brownrider possible. "Hello K'tir! I didn't expect to see you at our little celebration." He said gesturing over the far flung crowd that likely included most of Telgar's population before turning his gaze back to the handsome brownrider.

K’tir turned in the direction he heard his name being called, wondering who it was that was looking for him. It only took a moment to register the man as Ekshan, a Northerner that was full of questions borne from genuine curiosity and interest. He really hadn’t expected much from Holders that came for the last Hatching but Ekshan had been a surprise and the conversation rather refreshing. No doubt he could expect more of the same on their newest meeting.

“I don’t think anyone had,” he replied with a chuckle, gaze taking a moment to scan around the crowd that was slowly filling up with mingling dragonriders, “but we wanted to show everyone how we truly celebrate such occasions. I think tonight will be remembered for quite a long time.” Given some of the men he had already spotted, K’tir didn’t doubt that at all. In fact, some of the antics that could happen would likely be seared into the minds of the Telgar citizens. Even the typically well-behaved lost themselves when enough alcohol and cheer surrounded them and a glance at R’nd and B’jin with drinks in their hands moving closer to the Harpers had K’tir hoping they put on another good show.

Tell him I say hi! Ghaeth’s energetic voice boomed through K’tir’s mind and he didn’t even need to see his dragon way over on the edges of the gathering area to know the brown was bouncing from foot to foot in excitement. “Ghaeth says hi. He seems as happy to see you as I am. I admit, I had hoped to see you here.” K’tir took a long sip of his drink as his gaze slowly trailed down Ekshan’s fine figure before coming to rest once more on his face like the barely behaving man that he was.

Ekshan's gaze followed K'tir's as he examined the crowd. He'd been to these sorts of gatherings before, though never in area designated for the upper classes. The Telgar nobles were more subdued than the less well off cotholders and lower class workers, but the addition of dragonriders to the mix was stirring things up more than normal as the Southerner's high spirits infected the Northeners. "I don't doubt it." Ekshan agreed as he took a sip of his wine. Tonight was going to be a memorable one for many, and unlikely to be the last time dragonriders showed holders how to really enjoy themselves.

He returned his gaze to the brownrider, feeling a warm pleasure that had nothing to do with wine as K'tir spoke. He had hoped K'tir would recall him from the hatching, but he hadn't expected Ghaeth to remember him as well. He was so flattered he almost missed K'tir's slow examination. His cheeks flared red as the Brownrider's eyes came back to his face. Ekshan was use to such looks from Gabrin, but to be ogled by a dragonrider was something new, and left him mentally if not physically flailing over how to respond. K'tir was an attractive man, fit and well muscled from his life as a rider, a contrast to Ekshan's slender frame, just the sort he wouldn't mind getting to know better.

He bought himself some time with another long swallow of wine. Gabrin's earlier encouragements coupled with the wine made him bolder than normal, though he still had a some lingering trepidation about how best to proceed. "It's an honor to be remembered by you both." He finally managed, a bit haltingly at first, but his words smoothed out as he continued. "I was hoping to find a familiar face this evening. Gabrin is off visiting family and so I've been left on my own until tomorrow." His heart raced along in his chest, though outwardly he managed to maintain his usual cool expression, well as cool as his flushed cheeks would allow.

K’tir raised an intrigued brow at the confession that Gabrin was off doing his own thing, leaving Ekshan alone but wisely didn’t make any comments on it. It was nice to see the master had let his pet off the leash for the night and the brownrider was more than willing to jump into the vacancy left behind. Ekshan was full of questions but it was a genuine interest that spurred them on and K’tir didn’t sense any games in it just like Ghaeth didn’t seem to think there was anything hostile about the man. Ekshan was a good-looking guy that was chatty but friendly and knew when silence was the better route. No wonder a little lordling like Gabrin had taken an interest in him.

“I will happily play the role of familiar face and keep you company until tomorrow,” K’tir replied lightly with a smile ghosting over his lips. There were implications in his words and it may have been concerned mean to tease Ekshan but he liked the way the younger man flushed so easily before slowly adapting to the situation. “If you’ll permit it, of course. We can converse some more and expand on the ground we have in common.” It was rather obvious to him, a man that grew up in a Weyr and saw it on a regular basis, that Ekshan had an interest in men but his upbringing left him confused and living in the shadows. K’tir guessed it was why Gabrin had drawn the man to him for whatever his purposes were. But K’tir specialized in secrets when it came to lovers, having both a bronze and brownrider quietly slipping into his bed at times in the cover of night and pretending nothing happened the moment they walked out the door. It amused K’tir and the sex was excellent enough that his lips never flapped about the hook-ups.

“Shall we procure a bottle of wine and a quiet spot to continue chatting? It seemed like you had more questions time didn’t allow for at the Hatching.” He wasn’t above getting drunk with Ekshan and seeing what happened. In fact, it sounded extremely appealing to the brownrider that didn’t have any responsibilities or plans that night.

A small, delighted smile tugged at Ekshan's lips at K'tir's reply, and a pleasant thrill ran up his spine. He liked the man, he seemed far more genuine than many he met with these days, and exuded a quiet confidence despite the not so flattering light many held dragonrider's in. The brownrider's open study of him left little doubt in Ekshan's mind about how the night would end and he was feeling rather pleased if also a little nervous about it. K'tir did not hide who he was and Ekshan envied his apparent freedom to be with whomever he wanted. Ever mindful of his surroundings Ekshan gave those nearby a quick glance for any disapproving looks. He was still Gabrin's assistant and had to be careful of his behavior, in public at least.

Ekshan dipped his head in wordless agreement with K'tir's suggestion. He wasn't sure how much common ground they had, beyond the obvious, but he was willing to find out what more there could be. Even if all they did was talk, the conversation was unlikely to be boring, so far K'tir had proved to be a willing fount of information. If Ekshan was lucky enough to become a candidate, knowing a rider could be beneficial and would definitely put him on a level above most of his fellow candidates. He knew from the hatching he'd gone to watch that most had simply been plucked off various cotholds and had almost no clue about Weyrlife or dragons. Knowledge was important and he was always willing to accumulate a little more.

"I can't think of many better ways to spend an evening, though I'm not sure if one evening will be enough time to satisfy all my curiosity." It had been unfortunate that the hatching had only allowed him to scratch the surface of his interest in dragons and the Weyr, and K'tir. With an entire evening laid out before them there seemed little reason to rush things along. It was unlikely Gabrin would be home until later the following morning, giving Ekshan plenty of time to "question" K'tir. "I do know a spot that should be quieter." He offered, getting to put to use his knowledge of the area as he moved off through the crowd, holding his breath until he heard the telltale tread of following footsteps.

Pausing only long enough to procure some wine, being Gabrin's assistant did have its uses and meant he could get a bottle of something palatable, Ekshan moved confidently through the gardens. The sounds of the crowds faded slightly as they left the larger groups behind. Finally he nodded toward a convenient bench beneath one of the garden's older trees, large enough to give the illusion of propriety while still providing the means to slide in closer should the desire arise. "Will this do?" Ekshan asked, nibbling nervously at his lower lip as he turned to gauge K'tir expression. He'd considered just taking K'tir back to the hold, but he was neither confident or drunk enough for such a bold move. The area wasn't quiet deserted, a few smaller groups and couples seeking to escape the larger crowd wandered nearby, but it was still fairly private for being turn's end.

“I’m sure I can be convinced to make more evenings happen until your… curiosity… is sated,” K’tir drawled as he fell in step behind Ekshan. Given the younger man’s continued interest and how quickly he jumped at the chance to keep them talking, K’tir was convinced he had now found some plans for the night. He was still interested in seeing if some of his fellow dragonriders would make a scene and wind up horribly embarrassed the following day but that was a side note to what was becoming the main focal point.

A glance around the area that he had been led to showed it was indeed quieter but not so entirely cut off Ekshan’s reputation, whatever it may be, would be tarnished. For all intents and purposes, it would currently appear like he was only talking to a dragonrider and possibly keeping him out of trouble by doing so. “It’ll do; for now,” K’tir sat down on the bench and held out his hand until the bottle of wine was handed over. He took a moment to quietly refresh their glasses and set the bottle on the bench between them. “To new friends,” he toasted with a clink of his glass to Ekshan’s before tossing back half the contents. It was so good having excellent wine again! He managed with what they concocted in Katila, especially when their supplies they stole from the North dwindled, but now that they had constant access to proper wine once more, K’tir had no desire to go back.

“Now that you have me alone and the music isn’t quite as loud, what other questions do you have for me?” Both at the Hatching and now, the music and guests were loud and full of merriment which made it harder to discuss too much without talking just as loudly. K’tir was naturally soft spoken and hated having to raise his voice to begin with but Ekshan had been a cute face with natural enthusiasm that he had been willing to converse under such circumstances. Now, with the Harpers and their instruments more background noise than focal point, they could talk in a more relaxed manner and begin to truly understand what each other was after.

K'tir's naughtily drawled words gave Ekshan a pleasantly forbidden thrill, making him glad he was facing away from the man so he could allow a pleased smirk to pull up one corner of his mouth. Things were progressing even better than he'd dared hope for. He'd never have dreamed of being able to maintain the interest of a dragonrider and had initial set his sights on bedding someone in a similar position as he was in, or find another suppressed young man to initiate as Gabrin had him.

Ekshan placed the wine bottle into the proffered hand, settling down onto the bench as K'tir refilled their glasses. "To new friends." He echoed K'tir, one eyebrow arching upward as the man downed half the contents of his glass in one go. Ekshan had become familiar with the stuff they'd created in the South and was pleased that K'tir seemed to have maintained an appreciation for the more subtle Northern vintages. Not that he'd known much about wine before Gabrin had taken him in, but he was never the less pleased he'd learned enough to chose something enjoyable. He studied K'tir over the rim of his glass as he took a long sip, once again glad he'd bumped into the brownrider. The Hatching, while providing an introduction had been neither the time nor place to really get to know each other. There had been too much going one and Ekshan had been kept busy playing the role of dutiful assistant to Gabrin.

Maybe it was the wine or K'tir's proximity, but Ekshan was suddenly having a difficult time settling on a question. There was so much he wanted to know that it was hard to focus on just one, and sitting right next to the handsome brownrider wasn't actually helping matters. His eyes followed the passing of a trio of young men as they moved past, using their passing to buy himself a little more time. Ekshan rubbed an idle finger over the smooth surface of his glass, watching how the liquid inside caught and reflected the soft light from nearby glows and flickering torch light. "I have been wondering why the Weyr decided to return North now?" He asked once the group had pasted, settling his gaze back on K'tir. He wasn't even sure if the Brownrider would know or want to share why or simply give him some politically correct answer. Either one would give him a little more insight into how the Weyr worked.

“Several reasons really,” K’tir started, not at all put off by the question or worried about what he was and wasn’t allowed to say. As far as he was aware, there really hadn’t been any restrictions though he was certain anything that made S’kef seem like a kind man only looking out for the best interests of everyone would be encouraged. Good thing S’kef and J’ver weren’t around right then! Well, he assumed J’ver wasn’t lurking around him since he never proved to be of much interest to the greenrider and at such an event, he was likely assigned some more prominent parties.

“Most of us didn’t want to stay South, especially for as long as we had. When the landslide wiped out so much, it became clear we needed to relocate.” The words were calm and even but the rest of his wine was tossed back immediately after. He wasn’t plagued by nightmares of that night like some Katlians were but some memories still needed a bit of wine to wash them down. The empty glass was set down beside the bottle and K’tir turned his full gaze on Ekshan, “some of us were lonely as well.” He said nothing else on the matter but the look in his eyes and the slight quirk of a brow said it all. Ekshan had never been asked his preferences but K’tir assumed he liked men to some degree. He was interested in Weyr life and the freedom it held, Gabrin seemed to have some sort of hold on him, and he had yet to run away from the flirting. All good signs in K’tir’s books.

He was barely keeping himself in check as he waited for a response or reaction. If they were at the Weyr, Ekshan would be pushed up against the tree with K’tir’s mouth and hands on him. It was only because he respected the man’s station and the need for secrecy that some of his lovers had that K’tir kept his hands to himself, despite the increasing flush and bliss the wine was creating in him.

Ekshan sipped at his wine, more to keep his mouth and hands busy with something other than K'tir, which was very tempting. The other man's words provided a further distraction and Ekshan found himself nodding as K'tir shared about the Weyr's reasons for returning North. He'd heard about the landslide and the number of lives, both human and dragon it had claimed. It seemed that despite it's initial beauty there were plenty of dangers in the South as well. K'tir's tone was calm, but his actions spoke of a deeper pain that had yet to fully heal.

His gaze followed the Brownrider's empty glance, lifting back to K'ti'r face at his mention of some of them being lonely. Ekshan felt his face flush a hot red and quickly shifted his gaze back to his glass which he swiftly drained. He was familiar with such looks from Gabrin to know what they meant and where they usually led. He still had enough of the innocent hold boy left in him to flush at K'tir's attention and what his word's implied. Though he would have liked to show the other man just how he felt he was too controlled to give into that desire, at least out in public. K'tir's reputation may not have been ruined by such actions becoming public knowledge, but his surely would be.

Tempting as it was it was to respond to the intensity of K'tir's gaze, Ekshan contented himself with waiting to fully express himself someplace private. He didn't trust himself to be able be remain discreet for much longer though. The thought of being with someone other than Gabrin was a strange mix of exhilaration and terror and if not for the wine he probably would have scuttled off long ago. "It can be lonely here as well at times." He said breathily as he slid his empty glass next to the wine bottle. Loniness had become his best friend before Gabrin, though even he failed to keep it at bay all the time. Gabrin was a busy man and Ekshan was mostly just his current and rather well kept diversion.

He looked back up at K'tir, taking a quick breath. Damn it, it was easier to feign self control when he wasn't looking at the other man. "Though I suppose as a dragonrider you are never truly lonely." His voice touched with uncharacteristic longing for such a deep and endless bond that only death could break. He envied the Northern candidates lucky enough to be searched, so far the Weyr was playing it safe and selecting candidates from outlying cotholds. Avoiding the possibility of angering the more well off holders by "stealing away" any of their sons or daughters.

K’tir laughed at the reply he wasn’t expecting but really should have. He felt the warmth of Ghaeth’s love wrap around him through their bond and smiled as his silly dragon flopped down and let some of the younger kids still running loose climb on him. He really hoped they didn’t have paint handy like the ‘brats always seemed to. “Very true. Even when you do want to be alone, you never truly are with a dragon always in the back of your mind, though some are stronger than others at blocking the link when needed.”

The wine was eyed once more and K’tir finally picked up the bottle and leisurely poured more into both glasses. There wasn’t any reason to let it go to waste! Switching out the bottle for his glass, K’tir tried to sip it to enjoy the fine flavour but his growing inebriation was making it a bit harder to tell the good from the bad and be a true connoisseur. “But having a dragon is still different than being with another human,” he finally picked up the train of thought again and regarded Ekshan thoughtfully. The man was interested in dragons and the Weyr life but some facts of it would likely still bother even the most open-minded of them all. It was still even a bit weird to him, truth be told. “Ghaeth’s flightlust affects me but my own lust can leave him relaxed and in just as great of a mood.”

K’tir frowned as he started to lose the point he was trying to make and drank more wine, hoping to find the answer in his glass. He did, to a degree, as he gave up with a one-shoulder shrug and grin at Ekshan, “anyway, other men and women are always a welcomed sight.”

He contemplated K'tir's answer, staring off with a vaguely distant and wine muddled gaze. He'd wondered about the bond between dragon and rider, even more so after the hatching and getting to see the moment of impression for himself. All who'd impressed had looked intensely happy, though a few had looked a little overwhelmed by it as well. Being private by nature he wasn't sure how easily he'd adjust to the constant presence of another being, but the benefits of being a dragonrider seemed to out weigh any discomfort that might come along with such a complex bond. Not that he had any real reason to worry about such things just yet. He wasn't even a candidate, just one of what was likely a multitude of young men wishing to become one. Ghaeth had remembered him though and that gave him hope. Surely the dragon wouldn't have remembered someone who had no possibility of impressing.

Ekshan was drawn back to the present by K'tir's movements, not bothering to object as his glass was refilled. He was already well on his way to becoming well and truly drunk, but didn't want to look rude by refusing a refill. Luckily Ekshan wasn't the sort that became rowdy when he'd had too much, though many of his inhibitions slipped away he didn't start dancing on tables or doing anything too embarrassing. He was relieved when K'tir continued his explanation since it was becoming harder to come up with questions that didn't focus on getting the man to Gabrin's hold. Not that the topic of lust didn't anything to help him focus on anything else.

He sipped once again at his wine, his expression almost comical in how seriously he considered the Brownrider's words. "I never gave much thought to how a rider's lust must affect their dragon. It's probably good that the affect isn't as intense the other way around. Could be rather awkward in situations like this one." Ekshan made a broad gesture to the gather crowd, sloshing some wine over his fingers. He frowned in mild annoyance and took the glass in his other hand as he sucked clean each wine soaked finger.

"I suppose you can have your pick tonight." He resumed the conversation as he met K'tir's gaze. "Has anyone caught your fancy?" He tried to feign indifferent curiosity, but his heart pounded to rapidly for that to be true. If K'tir did had his eye on someone else tonight Ekshan would be crushed.

Ekshan’s innocence really was impressive; and a turn on. The way he sucked his fingers clean had no ulterior motive that K’tir see but it was done in such a way that it easily grabbed his attention and held him intrigued. He did, however, keep his hands to himself and held off offering to clean the digits for Ekshan since they were still somewhat in public. Ekshan had a rather nice position in Telgar’s hierarchy and it wouldn’t do to ruin it by having him be seen kissing dragonriders.

When the question came about who he wanted for the night, restraint did seem a lot harder to keep a hold of. A languid grin slid into place as K’tir threw back the last of his wine and set the glass down once more. “I can have my pick within reason,” he corrected, still grinning. S’kef had made it clear that they were to behave to some degree and sleeping with married wives and virgin daughters were a bit off the menu for the evening. Spoiled lordlings’ naïve and cute assistants, however, seemed to be fair game. Not that K’tir really cared all that much even if Ekshan was to be left alone.

Deciding their questions and playing coy had gone on long enough, K’tir slowly leaned in closer to Ekshan so he could whisper against an ear, “I want you writhing beneath me in pleasure, Ekshan, and I’m barely able to keep from kissing you right here and now. I’m too drunk to fly so I can steal you away to my home so I suggest if you know of a vacant bed behind a locked door, you lead us there in the next few minutes.” It’d be so easy to lead him over to Ghaeth and head back to the Weyr but K’tir never wanted to put his dragon in danger and with his mind in a foggy state, he avoided flying as much as possible. Therefore, he hoped Gabrin’s assistant had a sturdy bed and that he didn’t live too far away.

His fingers were still slightly sticky, which irratated his fastidious nature. He would have appreciated a hot bath and sharing one with K'tir would be an absolute delight. Such thoughts while entertaining were also rather dangerous in his current state. He was quickly reaching a point where it was difficult to distinguish between good and bad choices. Gabrin may not have carried about what Ekshan got up to while he was away, but Ekshan knew a lack of discretion on his part would not be rewarded.

Ekshan shrugged off K'tir's correcting, deciding within reasons still gave the brownrider a wide selection to choose from. Too wide for the younger man's liking really. He would have preferred to have been the only option available, though part of him also liked the idea of K'tir choosing him despite having other options available to him. K'tir's continued patience with him was rewardable, even if Ekshan was almost completely unaware of the affect he was having on the other man. He still struggled to believe that he could be desired by anyone. Even Gabrin's attentions still had a way of surprising him.

K'tir was proving to be just as surprising as he leaned in, his warm breath sending a delicious shiver down Ekshan's spine. The Brownrider's words took a second to sink in as they painted an all to vivid picture within the younger man's mind. Ekshan felt a little light headed and was unsure whether to blame the wine or K'tir for his current state. "I." Ekshan swallowed, not daring to meet the other man's gaze out of fear he'd loose his tenuous grasp on his remaining self control. "Gabrin's isn't far." He managed to rasp, trembling from the rush of desire K'tir's words and nearness caused. Knowing he needed space before he or more likely K'tir lost control, Ekshan stood, wavering slightly before he found his balance. He wet his lips, giving K'tir a wanting look before he spoke. "Follow me." He murmured, making sure K'tir was doing just that before setting off at as quick a pace as he could manage. The evening was still young and Gabrin was going to be gone until morning, plenty of time to enjoy K'tir's company.

K’tir wanted to pat Ekshan on the head; he was so adorably innocent! It was clear the man didn’t do this often but desire overrode nerves and he managed to get the invitation out anyway. He was already glad he didn’t grab a fellow rider to spend the night with as he watched Ekshan start to walk away, gaze firmly on the man’s ass. There was enough wine left in the bottle that K’tir didn’t want to see it wasted and he quickly grabbed it up before following his soon-to-be lover away from the party and into the town.

He had no idea where the little lordling called home and twice he felt the trek was too long and nearly threw Ekshan against a wall to ravish then and there. The man’s skittishness and S’kef’s warning to not scare the holders more than they already were held him off yet again. Besides, he was pretty certain he had made a comment about how he was great at discretion and there wasn’t a need to make a lie out of it.

A nod of approval was given as they stood outside Gabrin’s home but that was as far as K’tir got for commenting on location and decoration for as soon as they were inside and the door closed behind them, he had Ekshan pinned against the wall. “Finally,” he growled before kissing Ekshan hard on the lips, his passion fueled both by need and wine.

“A bed?” Eloquent sentences weren’t needed, nor would they have come out all that clearly anyway with the way K’tir kept pressing their mouths together and letting his tongue explore when it wasn’t needed for a few words. He finally allowed some space so Ekshan could lead them to a bed but K’tir stopped him at the doorway to a small room that was clearly Ekshan’s and found his ability to speak properly again for a moment.

“No. Gabrin’s gone for the night, right? Time for you to play lord while you ride me in his bed,” K’tir stepped in closer and began unfastening his lover’s pants and whispered, “my lord Ekshan.”
