Month 12, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Winter -3 - 2 C | 26 - 35 F
Fort is already home to snowfalls, though early in the month they fade away when the sun rises. As the month progresses, more snow stays on the ground, ending up with several feet of snow before the month is over. The areas around homes and populations has the snow shoveled away or trodden down. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove some danger and are routinely removed.

Ista Boundaries:
Winter, 9 - 21 C | 48 - 69 F
Generally warm enough to go about without a jacket on, Ista has low humidity but high chance of rain, generally in the form of vicious afternoon thunderstorms. The storms wash away any bite of heat the day had, and leave it feeling fresh for the night. The days are short, but grow bright quickly and the afternoons seem to be particularly short when heavy thunderstorms roll in and cover the sky.

Telgar Boundaries:
Winter, -5 - 0 C | 23 - 32 F
Bitterly cold, with icy winds constantly flowing down from the mountains. Freezing rain is almost constant; the sky always a murky grey and the ground slippery with slushy refrozen ice. The days are extremely short, with the nights dropping a good number below the daily average. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove a major danger, and are checked upon every day, with anything bigger than a fist being removed.

Month 07, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Summer 27 - 38 C | 80 - 100 F
Light breezes down from the mountains tot he North keep the temperature comfortable, even when the sun can bake an egg on the edge of a weyr. Sunburn is common.

Ista Boundaries:
Summer, 34 - 43 C | 93 - 110 F
A very dry, dusty heat. Little to no rain, causing more than some to worry about the drought not breaking and the rest of the Isle being at risk of fires. Many seek the depths of weyr, hold or hall during the midday and early afternoon heat.

Telgar Boundaries:
Summer, 26 - 35 C | 79 - 95 F
Muggy, sticky and generally just plain humid. Thunder storms are regular occurances, often happening in the early afternoon or evening, with heavy rainfall before drying off sometime in the night. Mornings are usually crisp, but warm up swiftly.

[[Update slowly in progress because ThistleProse is a slackarse :3 lmao ]]

Month 04, 740 AL
North: Early Spring | South: Early Autumn
−1.9 C to 4.7 C | 20.0 C to 29.0

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself naturally warmer, (~10C / 50) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Katila is beginning to cool down to more reasonable temperature, but is no less muggy and uncomfortable to those who are not used to the seasons. It is still a good place to escape to when seeking a warm day or a nice swim at the lake, though.

The Red Star can be seen by those who choose to see it, causing no shortage of whispers that Thread will return - and just as much dismissal from those who do not believe. After all, it's been so long, surely it is no longer a threat! Weyrleaders are, regardless, beginning to put together wings in their Weyrs, if only to keep troublesome and bored riders busy.

Month 03, 740 AL

Month 12, 739 AL
North: Early Winter| South: Early Summer
-3.1 to 2.1 C | 20.4 C to 29.4 C

Winter has come slowly to the Northern lands of Pern, with more rain and cold winds than snow. As the month progresses, more and more snow will fall, with frequent blizzard-like storms towards the very end of the month. Telgar and Fort will in particular become burried under mountains of snow, while Ista is sunjected to frequent icy rainstorms, and heavy winds coming in from across the ocean.

13.4 to 21.0 C | 13.8 C to 25.6 C

Following the disastrous fires (sometime in around the 28th of Month 08), Ista Isle has found itself suddenly in the midst of constant rain; not enough to flood, but a steady, dreary downfall that seems to only take a time out for a couple of hours here and there, before coming back again. Its cast the entire sooty Isle into a sombre and depressed mood. Alongside the rain, the weather is muggy and while not hot, is not particularly cool, either.

The rest of Northern Pern is getting their usual weather, though they, too, have been called to action following the wildfires that savaged Ista. Many individuals who called Ista Island home have been relocated not just to Ista Weyr, Ista Hold or Sea Cliff Hold, but also to other areas of Pern, whether with family or friends.

Month 08, 739 AL
North: Late Summer | South: Late Winter
17.4 to 25.5 C | 10.8 C to 23.2 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm - 37 to 45 C - has resulted in an incredibly dry summer, with little to no rain. This was climaxed by a dry thunderstorm, the results of which caused three fires to start across the Island on the 24.07.739 in the early morning hours. While the results of this are yet to be played out, the events will no doubt leave more than just the scarring of the land.

Month 07, 739 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter
18.0 to 26.6 C | 10.2 C to 21.9 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm, with average weather being in the 37 to 45 C range, making it now a more than slightly undesirable escape for the rest of the Northern population from the more enjoyable early summer weather. There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind. Ista's limited farmlands and fields are dry and dusty, with golden straw instead of grass where there is any growth at all.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are still getting a lot of evening rain and the occasional thunderstorms, which cools down the populus and allows them to sleep easily without sweating their brains out like the Istans.

There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are getting a lot of rain, thunderstorms, and cloudy days. Grass is growing, flowers flowering, and baby animals popping up all over the place! Yay spring!

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. Month 11, 738 AL
North: Late Autumn | South: Late Spring

Autumn is coming to an end, with the days slowly becoming shorter still, with early nights and late mornings. The temperature is getting very cool, with jackets being more required, but it has yet to actually snow. Despite this, it is often raining and miserable.

The Southern contient is in full bloom, with flowers coming to life in the grasses and on the trees. The skies are bright blue with fluffy clouds, and occassional sunshowers bringing a dampness to the day. The nights are still crisp, but not cold. The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 10, 738 AL
North: Mid Autumn | South: Mid Spring

Autumn is in full tilt, with the leaves a shocking array of orange and red, and more of them on the ground than on the trees. The skies are often a clear and crisp blue, with a cool breeze flowing, shifting the leaves and sending them scattering. Rain is not common, but when it does roll in the skies are dark like night come early, and thunderstorms are not uncommon, though they don't last for long and the amount of rain that falls isn't too heavy.

Month 09, 738 AL
North: Start Autumn | South: Start Spring

Nothern regions are entering into Autumn, with the trees beginning to change to their reds and oranges, while the air is beginning to feel more crips. There are still more warm days than cool, and the nights are mostly warm enough for light bedding still. Rain has faded away and most days are clear and bright.

The Southern contient finds itself heading into spring, with rain and flowers vying for attention. The ground is often muddy and squishy, while the skies are either bright and blue, or overcast wtih fluffy clouds.

Month 08, 738 AL
North: End Summer | South: End Winter

Summer is winding to an end in the Northern hemisphere, with the weather slowly cooling and the trees beginning to turn their leaves. The days are still long and bright, but the sun is beginning to lose some of its strength.

The coastal Weyrs are falling victim to coastal storms, strong winds and heavy rains with thunder and lightening.

The more inbound Weyrs and Holds find themselves drier, not getting nearly as much rain or storms, they find themselves on the end of a long drought.

Month 07, 738 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter

Summer is in full spring in the Nothern hemisphere, with the bulk of each day being unbearbly hot, followed by vicious thunderstorms and heavy humidity in the evenings and at night.

The coastal areas are experiencing monsoon like weather, and spend a lot of their time locked away in Hold, Hall or Weyr.

The more inner locations find themselves faced with more dry heat during the day, and horrible humidity in the evening and at night while the thunderstorms rage.

ITS AN UPDATE! HOORAH!

I'm not dead, my loves! This month's Event is 'Close Call!' - have fun! Stamps will be uploaded and on display in our Discord chatroom.

There is a topic here for discussion about Pernese religions and belief systems, including in and out of Weyr opinions (variably and as a whole) in regards to delicate matters, such as birth, death, and the afterlife. Also, ghosts anyone? Now I'm imagining a giant arse dragon ghost....

Healer Hall is accepting Gold Candidates (just from Fort, for now) and R'nya will soon be discussing with his Weyrwoman Rhaedalyn the merits of bringing in additional female candidates.... on the condition they are approved for Healer Apprenticeship...

Thallyath, Casa's little gold dragon, will be taking to the skies for her maiden flight in the first week of April (IC date will be 740-04-01) and while a mate is already decided, this clutch will be PC and more candidates are ALWAYS welcome, whether you want them to Impress this round --- or not!

September 2018

Spring is here! ... In Australia, anyway!

This month’s riveting event is ‘Seas of Fun’, in honour of International Pirate’s Day! After all the drama with the fires, we expect that taking to the sea (or lake, river, pond, etc) would be a very relaxing way to spend some downtime for many dragonriders and Holderfolk alike!

In preparation for October, the even is “Memories of the Past”, which we hope will be a fun way to explore your character’s past, either in solo posts or threads, as inner monolog or as back posting! How you choose to partake is entirely up to you!

October will also see our next PC HATCHING! In order to have your Candidate qualify for Impression, they must have no less than 20 posts! There are lots of characters floating around who would be more than happy to help your Candidate breech that count! Don’t forget to also UPDATE YOUR APPLICATIONS where applicable, or make sure it is submitted at all! We can’t Impress your character if we don’t know what they should be getting!

As always, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! While you’re at it, remember to submit your favourite quotes – from your character’s or others! – to the Quote Submission Thread! We want to see some recent quotes thrown in with our old ones!

If you haven't already, please drop by the Dragonrider Weyr Allocations thread, and let us know where your dragonriders call home. We are hoping to set up Wings across the three PC Weyrs over the next month or so, and your assistance is much appreciated! As a result, we will be looking for Wingleaders, Wingseconds, and of course Candidates for the clutches we have scheduled for this year!

August 2018

ITS AUGUST! Do you know what that means? It means its less than 4 months until Christmas! OMG.

Okay. So moving on! This month sees us (hopefully) wrapping up the Camp Kink event! Who doesn’t love an abundance of young adults exploring their sexuality without restraint? Its been a hell of a fun ride (haha get it?) so far! Can’t wait to see what the grapevine makes of it when words gets out … haha!

On a more serious note, this month will see us engaging in the Istan Wildfires! This event is a free for all! Feel free to have your characters interact with the event in any way you feel is suitable! There is a lot of room here for personal dramas, trouble making, hero worshiping, etcetera! We really want to see how characters interact with, and dictate, the outcome of the event!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

July 2018

July was July-y.

June 2018

Welcome to the new month! Like always, I'm slack in getting the update up and running, but here it is! This month we have the event 'Summer Fling' - [Link] - which is turning out to be all kinds of entertaining already! Remember, it doesn't have to include smut! It could be an innocent date with some - *gasp* - hand holding!

This month also saw Gold Bedith of Mulrissa take to the skies! She was won by young Syrendryth of T'ryn! Congrats, and may your Hatching be less dramatic than the last one! The Hatching will take place in October so you have a lot of time to get Candidates created, approved, and posting up a storm!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

April 2018

Well, it’s halfway through the month which shows you how awful I am at keeping this stuff up to date, haha. Due to my slackness, there is no event this month, but the month of May will be hosting ’Lost Belongings’ wherein characters should find something they – or someone else – lost.

In the meantime, gold Okalinath of Kahleena has taken to the skies! You can find her Flight thread taking place on the 4th, here Currently, there is no planned winner, so be sure to throw your bronzes and browns her way! They do not need to be natives to Telgar Weyr to participate!

March 2018

Welcome to March, my friends!

Unfortunately, this month we don’t have any events set up, so we encourage you to wrap up threads and create some personal plots! Next month will be bringing in a new monthly event (Lost Belongings!) so you can always set your character up for that! If you have ideas for future Events, you can submit them here!. Additionally, you can see upcoming events here!

Speaking of new threads, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! January 2018

Welcome to the New Year, one and all! We hope you had an enjoyable and safe holiday season, and we can't wait to see what your characters will get up to over the next twelve months (and beyond!). The Secret Santa Event has been extended until the 30th of January, so for those of you (like me!) who were busy over the end of December, we hope you can get your threads up and running over the next few weeks! There has been a lot of interesting interactions so far! As we extended the SSE, there won't be a specific January event this month! Don't worry though, we have something up our sleeve for February!

And so it is December! Can’t believe how fast this year is flying by! At any rate, we have LOTS of fun for you this month! For starters, why don’t you sign up for our Secret Santa Event! Pairs will be assigned on the 14th! You can sign your character(s) up as a Giver, a Receiver or Both! We also hope that you enjoy our Christmas layout, which will be available for use for the entire month of December! After that, it will go into hiding until next Christmas!

We will also be awarding the HORRIFYING MOMENTS stamps to those who qualified for them, as well as the WORDS OF THE MONTH for November. We hope you enjoyed these Events, and you can expect more of them in the upcoming year!

This month we will also be focusing on the RP Records, and request you submit all your threads here so we can update the Timeline! As it says in the thread, the Timeline will be updated every month, in the first week. To help us maintain, be sure to submit your threads as soon as you open them!

November 2017

Welcome to November! We'd love it if you would take the time to Vote in our Horrifying Moments threads! We will also be awarding Stamps for people who vote, not just those who took part! We hope you enjoyed this event as much as we did! You can see the Stamps that will be awarded in the Horrifying Moment's thread.

This month we are doing a 'Words of the Month' event! You can choose your word/s as indicated in the thread, and may particpate with as many characters as you desire! This contest has no voting to earn stamps; you get a stamp just for participating! Enjoy!

October 2017

Welcome to October! As part of our Halloween celebrations, the Horrifying Moments event is now open! You may START a thread at any point during the month of October to qualify it for the event! We hope you have a lot of fun with this event, and we look forward to reading your threads! Don't forget to "Like" the threads you enjoy most, so we can award someone the MOST HORRIFYING stamp! Stamps will be revealed later in the month!

September 2017

Welcome to September! This month, we're working on our Awards for the site! We are also advertising avidly! Please welcome any guests or new members with all that warm charm we know you all posess! That said, we are still seeking Affiliates, so if you're here to drop an ad, please consider us!

Our next PC Clutch will be in the new year, so now is the pefect time to join with old candidates (how many clutches have they stood for now?!) and candidate hopefuls! Get those eager young men and women out there and grow them so we can match them with their perfect lifemate when the new year rolls around and one of our lovely golds throws a clutch on the Sands -- At this point in time, the Weyrs are sharing Candidates, so your Candidate can be Searched by any Weyr, and transfer to the one holding the PC clutch!

August 2017

We are officially open for our relaunch, and are excited to meet and greet new RPers! We're currently looking for all types of characters, including Weyrleaders and goldriders! But we also have lots of room for green and blueriders, weyrfolk, candidates, and all types of Hall folk, such as Masters, Journeymen and Apprentices. If you have any questions, feel free to hit us up in the Cbox or Discord chats, which can be found on the lower part of the screen.

July 2017

We are currently having an event to Create Adoptables! And encourage everyone to take part!

History is almost complete, and the profile has been re-coded. All new characters will need to go onto the new profile, but all old can keep their current! We'll begin advertising properly over the next couple of weeks, once the history has been completed, and probably after the weekend of the 8th and 9th, because that is when ThistleProse is having her birthday.

June 2017

We are on the brink of relaunching! Our history is being rewritten and cleaned up! We are accepting new members, and old! Our advertisment has been re-written, and will be put out there soon. We are also accepting affiliates of all descriptions, genres and themes! If you would like to affiliate with us, please go here
We officially have two layouts! You can post here with any issues you find, or request any changes!

May 2017

Progress has slowed down a little, due to RL events (yay promotions! Boo no internet!) but we're getting back on track! Documents are still being written and we've put together a FAQs page, though its likely to recieve a lot of adjustments as we come across things. The current goal is to have everything set up and ready by July, but we'll see how well we go at that. And by we, I mean ThistleProse. lol.

April 2017

The layout is almost complete, but there is still a lot of work to be done; documents are being written up and can be found in the Site Map menu opion. Players can begin to move their characters' information to their Account Profiles, but be aware some changes may still be made and/or added.
If you find any bugs or issues, plese repot them here, and we will do our best to fix them in a timely manner.

Physical Age: 24

Partner: N/A
Appearance
[Image: 1lH39mz.jpg]
Eyes: Bright, expressive eyes that keep him looking younger than he is are of a pale green colour.

Hair: It’s hard to pinpoint the colour as it depends on how much sun it has seen at any given time. It ranges from a very pale and bland brown to what some have compared the dirty blonde moments to be that of straw. As for the style itself, C’dhin tries to keep it trimmed, especially thanks to being in the kitchen often, but it’s usually left in a slightly shaggy state.

Height: 6'0

General Appearance: C’dhin comes from a heritage that leaves him suffering with extremely pale skin. He burns easily when he’s not careful while having to spend too much time in the sun but thankfully any burning fades into a tan after a few painfully itchy days. His build is slender with only the barest touch of muscle that comes both from tending a dragon and kitchen work. He has good arm strength from carrying heavy ingredients to stirring large pots and bowls of the latest concoction.

One of the most notable feature to C’dhin is the small mole under his left eye. He used to hate it when younger and would purposely splash flour on his face to try to hide it but as he’s grown older, C’dhin has come to like it and see it as a mark of individuality and a part of who he is. He also has a large mouth that he sometimes finds annoying since it leads to teasing given the way he never seems to stop talking. But a large mouth also lends to a large smile which is what he is often seen sporting.

Dressing Style: C’dhin doesn’t put much thought into what he wears. Colours, patterns, and styles don’t mean much to him so long as they’re comfortable. Every so often he will end up a mix matched mess but somehow he manages to avoid that a majority of the time. His idea of dressing up for special occasions is to put on a little bow tie with one of his few button up shirts in his collection. He finds them rather cute and stylish despite what others think.
Personality
[Image: lsajKIU.jpg]
General Character Traits: C’dhin is a happy young man that manages to go with the flow, wherever it may take him. It might not always be a smooth ride as some life changes need some time to come to terms with, like being uprooted and brought to an unknown location to help a population survive, but he gets there eventually and with a smile back in place.

His laidback vibe makes him extremely approachable for all manners of things and C’dhin will often go along with it all as well even if it seems like a bad idea at the time. He’s easily convinced especially with the right words of flattery and now that he’s bonded to a green dragon, C’dhin finds himself in much more interesting positions than he once did. Even then, he doesn’t entirely mind so long as he doesn’t come away hurt and the other people involved in the mischief are happy. While he’s not necessarily a people-pleaser, C’dhin still hates being the cause of anger. Besides, his time in the kitchen back in the North made it clear he ranked low on the chain of power within a Hold and nearly a decade in a Weyr has taught him the placement of each dragon colour as well. He has more or less accepted the role just as he accepted being a father. Everything can be learned from after all and while he doesn’t exactly like constantly learning if it involves studying, life lessons aren’t too bad.

There are only a few things that could ever set C’dhin into defensive mode but he’s still quick to recover from the insult. His baking is all that he is. He knows it’s rather one dimensional of him but it was all he knew since childhood and it’s something he’s good at, enjoys, and even finds relaxing. To have someone insult the taste or a method he prefers never sits well. He gets all up in arms and will even demand they do it better if they think they can. As with everything else in life, he’s still discovering what else might set him off. So far, he knows anyone picking on Coroth or even his daughter that he spends rare times with count among the reasons his personality shifts from pleasant to defensive with death glares.

Habits/Mannerisms: C’dhin will often step back and ‘hmm’ thoughtfully over something he is making to even the instructions in wing practice. Tapping the side of his nose will often accompany this.

Opinions:.
Threadfall Theory: Never really thought about it.
Stealing/Kidnapping: Bastards! They ruined the good life he was building in the North and they have no sense of fine taste. Since Impressing, he has learned to accept and enjoy his new life.
Weryrleader S'kef: He earned the bad reputation he has and scared C’dhin, especially when he Impressed to green, but at least he brought them all North again.
Firelizards: Can understand the hate they garner but he’s pretty neutral about them.
Women's loss of honorifics: Maybe the ones that had them could have kept them but new female riders weren’t allowed? Seemed a bit unfair to take something away but in the end, it doesn’t affect him.
Return North: Mostly confused. He was kidnapped from there and forced to start a new life in the South. Now they are going North again but he can’t have his old life back. Then again, he’s not sure if he wants that life again.

Likes:
Sweets: He wouldn’t be much of a baker if he didn’t enjoy sampling what he created. It’s also a quick and delicious energy boost for those times when the day drags on or a less than desirable task is ahead of him.
Appreciation: Like any normal person, C’dhin enjoys being praised for something he has done. It leaves him encouraged to continue on that path. He also likes to take some time to appreciate what’s around him whether it be the landscape, a game in progress, or people enjoying their free time.
Chatting About Nothing: There’s always something to talk about even if it seems mundane. Discussing random things still stimulates the mind.

Dislikes:
People Who Don’t Savour Food: C’dhin hates the way some people simply shovel their food into their mouths like they can barely spare the time instead of enjoying each bite. Meals are more than something to fill a belly but they are an experience! Each bite should dance along the taste buds.
Silence: Silence may be comfortable to some but it leaves C’dhin wondering what everyone else is thinking.
Laziness: There’s always a time to rest and even sleep in but C’dhin hates seeing someone slack off when they’re meant to be working. Nothing gets done that way.
Disrespect: Elders and leaders always deserve proper respect and it drives the man bonkers when he sees it not being given. In fact, everyone deserves it but his new role as a greenrider has shown him how wrong his beliefs have always been and many people disagree with him.

Strengths:
Easy-going: It’s hard to rile up C’dhin. He can adapt to most anything and go with the flow and smile the entire time.
Cheerful: He might be accused of seeing the world through rose-tinted glasses but C’dhin likes it and sees the good in most anything.
Patient: It takes patience to make the perfect cake and master a tricky recipe and that has carried over into everyday life for C’dhin.

Flaws:
Motor Mouth: C’dhin has a problem with keeping his mouth shut. He likes to talk and sometimes doesn’t let anyone else get a word in.
Opinionated: While he has an opinion on most everything, it’s cooking that he criticizes the most. It’s likely the only thing he’ll say something negative about.
Defensive: He’s not one to fight verbally or physically but when it comes down to his kitchen and what he has made, C’dhin is very defensive and will demand to know why such negativity is given and to prove themselves better.
History

Father: Raidhinern b.684 AL d.???
Rank: Sr. Journeyman Baker
Mother: Corrazine b.689 AL d.???
Rank: Kitchen Drudge
Siblings: Raizine [M] b.704 AL

Past Lovers/Partners: Annbaline (F, 705 AL), Unnamed Female
Current Lovers/Partners: @Sh'ran, a few others casually
Children: Unnamed [F] b.728 AL

Background Story:
708 & Born: Corraidhin is born to proud parents as their second child.
715 & 7: Too young to truly understand what was happening with the dragons, Corraidhin believes they’ll feel better once they have some medicine and rest like what his mom tells him when he’s sick. His heart breaks a little when he hears they all vanished.
716 & 8: Corraidhin helps his mom with the late night cleaning of the Hold’s kitchen regularly and she quietly tells him stories of how she met his father and some cooking tricks she’s picked up.
718 & 10: He starts to sneak into the kitchen to assist his dad with simple tasks like fetching ingredients after falling in love with the idea that baking is fun.
720 & 12: After months of convincing his father and the other chefs, Corraidhin is officially accepted as an Apprentice in the bakercraft.
723 & 15: Ends up with his first black eye thanks to another boy catching Corraidhin kissing his sister. Corraidhin learns to be more discreet about who he is kissing and to ask if they have older brothers.
726 & 18: Three months after his 18th birthday, Corraidhin is tapped and made a Jr. Journeyman Baker.
727 & 19: Corraidhin is Stolen after a night out drinking and celebrating one turn as a Journeyman. It was also the night after he successfully proposed to Annbaline, the cute kitchen worker he had been casually dating for the last turn.
728 & 20: A wild night that involved alcohol and a woman nine months earlier leaves him a father. He’s unsure what to make of it, having no training in that area and having left behind a woman he may have also impregnated before being Stolen. Eventually he accepts the little girl and makes regular trips to visit her, hands full of treats once she’s old enough for them.
731 & 22: Corraidhin is appalled at the lashing B’jin receives and wonders what anyone could do to deserve such treatment.
731 & 22: Two months before his 23rd birthday, Corraidhin tries his luck again and finds himself bonding to an adorable little green dragonet, Coroth.
732 & 23: His clutchmate Iruvia and her dragon don’t return from their attempt at going between in class. Even his upbeat nature couldn’t handle such a trauma and Corraidhin hides in his room for two days, realizing the thin balance of life and death and the dangers all around them.
733 & 24: Somehow, he survives weyrlinghood and is given the name C’dhin at his graduation; the last class to do so as Weyrleader S’kef changed the rules of honorifics that night. It takes a while but he adjusts to the new name.
733 & 25: With the turn rapidly coming to a close, Coroth finally takes to the sky for her virgin flight, making for a very confused C’dhin. Everyone assumed she would never rise and he’s left floundering in bed with a particularly rough bluerider.
734 & 26: After nearly dying in the landslide, C’dhin did his best to help others struck by it and dedicated more time to making little treats for those stuck in bed healing. His dragon also started to develop a flight pattern that is far too regular for his liking and now he has to deal with that while moving back to the North.
735 & 27: C'dhin is still adjusting to Coroth's flight pattern and finding his way through the new life in the North. He makes a few friends on trips into the Hold but otherwise he stays out of the way and tries to stay out of trouble.
736 & 28: When Fort and Ista are deemed fit enough to open, C'dhin is left with mixed emotions when he learns he's to stay at Telgar. While it's nice to not have to move and find his way yet again in a new Weyr, it's disappointing that he doesn't get to explore the new areas.
738 & 30: His little girl turns ten! C'dhin is still blown away that he's a father and doing a bit better at being in her life more regularly.
740 & 32: After stupidly confessing that he hoped Misharan would Impress a male dragon and hoped the dragon and Coroth would end up mates, Misharan Impressed to one of the barely alive dragons at Ista's Hatching. He felt a bit guilty but C'dhin was still happy for his friend and cheered the loudest. He's also taken it upon himself to constantly spoil the three weyrlings with baked goods that he brings by weekly.

Date Apprenticed: 07.04.720 AL
Date Tapped: 09.05.723 AL

Education Details: Like any proper little wannabe in the kitchen, Corraidhin was taught the basics and tested in various areas of food prep. While he did okay at main dishes, he excelled in the dessert area, having a knack for knowing when the right temperature was reached and when something would go dry if left in any longer. He also had a creativeness that flared to life when allowed to do as he pleased for cakes and sweets.

Dragon
Dragon Name: Coroth
Name Pronounced: Core-oath
Dragon Colour: Green
Wing Assigned: TBA
Wing Rank: TBA

Hatching Date: 04.06.731 AL
Birthing Weyr: Katila Weyr
Home Weyr: Telgar Weyr
Clutch Name: World Above
Clutch Mother: Gold Nirinath
Clutch Father: Bronze Ronarth

Appearance:
Length: 24’11
Height: 12’6
Wingspan: 37’4
Scars & Markings: Initially, she has minor scrapes from her spat with Glieseth and Charath at the Hatching but they faded rather quickly.
Weyrlinghood: Strangely enough Coroth's wing membranes are the first areas to begin to show their new colours. They are smooth and unmarked thus far, though are a dirty olive green in colour.
Adulthood: In contrast to her olive-hued membranes, Coroth's body has revealed itself to be bright and full of clashes. On a somewhat mutely coloured base tinged with grey, there are hundreds of thousands of thin, dead straight lines across her body. They come in two colours; neon and lime green. They criss cross everywhere in any which direction, with no real focus on any area of her body.

While she may rest in what was the larger than average length range at her time of maturity, Coroth appears quite odd looking. She is heavily muscled in her upper legs, with her lower legs and feet being quite thin and dainty. Her wing bones seem to reflect this as well, with the arm section of the bone being quite thick and bulky and the fingers being extraordinarily slim. She has a broad head that seems quite chunky, much like a draft horse.

Mindvoice: When she’s not riled up, Coroth’s voice is very calm and feminine. However, when she’s in full curiosity mode, her voice carries notes of wonder and consideration as she examines something.

General Character Traits: Coroth is a gentle green that means well but she can come off as a bit over the top and annoying with her questions. She’s extremely inquisitive and likes to know how things work as much as she likes discovering something new. It is because of this that she likes exploring and will usually wander off while C’dhin is busy for the day in the kitchen. She is constantly thinking and often times if someone tries to keep up they find themselves going insane with the subject-hopping.

Habits/Mannerisms: Coroth is highly inquisitive to match her fast-paced mind, she sticks her nose into simply everything to find something new to occupy herself with.

Likes:
Fire: She finds it rather pretty and enthralling with the way it can catch anyone’s attention and hold their gaze. She will often be caught staring into a flame. It’s a good thing as well since she also likes the warmth.
Warmth: It’s comforting and she feels safe when warm.
New Things: Her inquisitive nature keeps her looking for something new all the time and she loves when she finds it.

Dislikes:
Cold: There’s nothing at all pleasant about being cold! Shivering and teeth chattering are not things she likes to see, hear, or feel.
Rain: While she enjoys a good bath or swim in the lake, Coroth dislikes rain. It often leads to her feeling cold and it makes everyone crankier and there is less to do during that time.
Routine: Everything being set in the same routine day in and day out is boring. There’s no mystery to it and it’s hard to find something new when you know all about it already.

Strengths:
Moderation: Despite her need to know everything, Coroth knows when to back off and leave well enough alone.
Strength 2:
Strength 3:

Flaws:
Irritated Easily: She can be easily irritated, especially if she’s not getting the results she expected.
Fickle: Coroth also has a tendency to move on quickly, her attention span drifting before everyone else’s.

Unlike most of the residents of Katila, C’dhin didn’t overly mind the nonstop drizzle that occasionally turned into a torrent of rain. His poor fair skin was returning to exactly that; losing its red tones from a burn he had suffered a month before that faded into a lingering tan. He had grown used to sporting the tanned skin but it always felt odd to him, as if he was dirty. Scrubbing naturally never helped but it eased the mild distress his mind would slip into once in a while when it was convinced he was covered in dirt or grime when he was about to play in the kitchens. Coroth always found it funny to watch him bathe in those times since, as she put it, he was scrubbing his skin as roughly as he sometimes did her hide.

Even with the enjoyment of a muted and sometimes altogether hidden sun, C’dhin never wanted, nor did he think it would ever happen, a flooded river that reached almost to his safe haven of a kitchen and made for a mucky walk to his little hut that was close to the river’s edge. Sandbags and stones were placed like a fence a bit away from his hut in an attempt to keep everything dry and safe, but every day he wondered if it was enough.

None of it mattered in the end.

There had been many drinks, dances, and laughs during the celebration of a fully successful Hatching and C’dhin enjoyed himself until he was queasy. Somehow, he made his way home and even more impressive was the fact he had done so alone. Not one assisted him – that he could remember – and no one had stayed as company or to use him as entertainment. The amount of drinking everyone was doing and the slightly early hour he had left at likely had something to do with that. As it was, he had passed out as soon as he hit the bed, with only one boot managed to come off.

It wasn’t the keening that woke him a few hours before sunrise; it was the rocks and muck slamming into his hut that had his attention just before the dragons started their songs of death. C’dhin! It’s bad. It’s so very bad! Get up and get out! Coroth’s screech and the panic in her mind voice sent the greenrider flailing in every direction as he clamoured out of bed and to his window. The bedroom faced away from the river but he the mountain could be seen in the distance during daylight. Unfortunately, it was seen in the dark right then as well in the form of a landslide that had taken out his neighbours and was starting to work on his hut.

As he stood there gawking, the levels of mud and debris spread in his direction, clearly finding the damage from the river lacking in his area of the Weyr. C’dhin stumbled away from the window seconds before it shattered and the mountain made itself at home within his hut. The mud was almost too his knees before the shocked greenrider fumbled his way through the bedroom for the door into the living room. The mud followed him but C’dhin gave it all he had to keep ahead of what poured through the doorway. The creaking his hut made from the strain it was under was far scarier than the fact he no longer had a floor and C’dhin knew he had to obey his shrieking dragon and get out.

He wasn’t going before he grabbed something first though. He clamoured up the couch and pulled down the large parchment that he had tacked up turns earlier. A drawing of Coroth as a tiny dragonet sitting beside him was one of his favourite things he owned and C'dhin wasn’t going to lose it! It was rolled up and tucked into his tunic to help keep it safe as he aimed for safety.

The bedroom collapsed as he was almost to the living room door and C’dhin didn’t need to look back to know the remainder of the hut was following suit. He barely made it out and suspected he wouldn’t have done so without injury if it wasn’t for Coroth sticking her head in the door for him to grab onto her neck. She heaved him along as she jumped back, pausing only long enough for C’dhin to once more gawk as he watched his hut completely fall into more pieces than he was certain it had started in on the first day of building. It was upsetting but the keening reminded him it wasn’t nearly as tragic as it could have been. He had been inside there seconds ago! He could be why the dragons were mourning right then.

Not wanting to ponder life and death any longer with rocks starting to slide along with the mud that seemed to be slowing down some, C’dhin climbed up his dragon and Coroth didn’t wait for directions but simply took off to get them airborne and to a presumably safer location. “We should help, shouldn’t we? I’m not hurt. I don’t think I am.” C’dhin glanced down at himself. He was muddy and apparently missing a boot but he didn’t think he had sustained even a bruise. It would have been so simple to stay in the air or perhaps go to the lake and wait until they were called to reunite but C’dhin couldn’t be that selfish and he knew Coroth wouldn’t stand for it either.

“Let’s check the damage first. We’ll go from there.” C’dhin grew somber as they circled low and he saw the destruction and just how lucky he had been. The landslide had clearly been slowed from the destruction it had caused before reaching the inner ring of huts that were closer to the Square than the mountain and he had lucked out by having time to wake and leave. A few huts, or where it looked like some had once stood, were given a longer inspection but C’dhin didn’t need to actually put his feet on the ground to know there wouldn’t have been survivors in the mess.

When Coroth landed on a larger pile of rubble so they could try listening for cries of help, C’dhin ended up nearly falling off her back in his efforts to get down to vomit. A tail, a dragon’s tail, was seen coming out from another pile of what was once a hut. A dragon had been caught up in the landslide and had a hut or more fall on him – it seemed blue from his distance – and it was too much for his stomach that hadn’t fully settled after a fair consumption of Katilan wine.

“We’re helping everyone we can.” It was a statement of fact and even if Coroth wanted to argue, C’dhin wouldn’t allow it. He gave his normally chipper green a moment to mourn the fallen dragon as he adjusted his tunic and made sure the painting within would stay where it was as he moved. Once that was done, C’dhin called out that he was there to help and started following the muffled voices he heard, intent on saving every last one of them.

He suddenly understood his dragon’s hatred of rain and changed his opinion of the weather pattern.
