Month 05, 741 AL

North: Late Spring | South: Late Autumn
9.9 C to 18.4 C | 13.7 C to 24.5 C

Ista is heating up swiftly, and preparing for a rough summer - hopefully nothing like the one from a couple turns before with the wildfires! The rest of Northern Pern is warming upsomewhat slower, but with no less gusto as summer begins to creep into the sky, keeping the sun awake longer, warming the ledges of the weyrs. Rainstorms are sporadic, but keep the world well watered, despite the heat of the days.

The Red Star can be seen by those who choose to see it, causing no shortage of whispers that Thread will return - and just as much dismissal from those who do not believe. After all, it's been so long, surely it is no longer a threat! Weyrleaders are, regardless, beginning to put together wings in their Weyrs, if only to keep troublesome and bored riders busy.

Month 12, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Winter -3 - 2 C | 26 - 35 F
Fort is already home to snowfalls, though early in the month they fade away when the sun rises. As the month progresses, more snow stays on the ground, ending up with several feet of snow before the month is over. The areas around homes and populations has the snow shoveled away or trodden down. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove some danger and are routinely removed.

Ista Boundaries:
Winter, 9 - 21 C | 48 - 69 F
Generally warm enough to go about without a jacket on, Ista has low humidity but high chance of rain, generally in the form of vicious afternoon thunderstorms. The storms wash away any bite of heat the day had, and leave it feeling fresh for the night. The days are short, but grow bright quickly and the afternoons seem to be particularly short when heavy thunderstorms roll in and cover the sky.

Telgar Boundaries:
Winter, -5 - 0 C | 23 - 32 F
Bitterly cold, with icy winds constantly flowing down from the mountains. Freezing rain is almost constant; the sky always a murky grey and the ground slippery with slushy refrozen ice. The days are extremely short, with the nights dropping a good number below the daily average. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove a major danger, and are checked upon every day, with anything bigger than a fist being removed.

Month 07, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Summer 27 - 38 C | 80 - 100 F
Light breezes down from the mountains tot he North keep the temperature comfortable, even when the sun can bake an egg on the edge of a weyr. Sunburn is common.

Ista Boundaries:
Summer, 34 - 43 C | 93 - 110 F
A very dry, dusty heat. Little to no rain, causing more than some to worry about the drought not breaking and the rest of the Isle being at risk of fires. Many seek the depths of weyr, hold or hall during the midday and early afternoon heat.

Telgar Boundaries:
Summer, 26 - 35 C | 79 - 95 F
Muggy, sticky and generally just plain humid. Thunder storms are regular occurances, often happening in the early afternoon or evening, with heavy rainfall before drying off sometime in the night. Mornings are usually crisp, but warm up swiftly.

Month 04, 740 AL
North: Early Spring | South: Early Autumn
−1.9 C to 4.7 C | 20.0 C to 29.0

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself naturally warmer, (~10C / 50) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Katila is beginning to cool down to more reasonable temperature, but is no less muggy and uncomfortable to those who are not used to the seasons. It is still a good place to escape to when seeking a warm day or a nice swim at the lake, though.

Month 12, 739 AL
North: Early Winter| South: Early Summer
-3.1 to 2.1 C | 20.4 C to 29.4 C

Winter has come slowly to the Northern lands of Pern, with more rain and cold winds than snow. As the month progresses, more and more snow will fall, with frequent blizzard-like storms towards the very end of the month. Telgar and Fort will in particular become burried under mountains of snow, while Ista is sunjected to frequent icy rainstorms, and heavy winds coming in from across the ocean.

13.4 to 21.0 C | 13.8 C to 25.6 C

Following the disastrous fires (sometime in around the 28th of Month 08), Ista Isle has found itself suddenly in the midst of constant rain; not enough to flood, but a steady, dreary downfall that seems to only take a time out for a couple of hours here and there, before coming back again. Its cast the entire sooty Isle into a sombre and depressed mood. Alongside the rain, the weather is muggy and while not hot, is not particularly cool, either.

The rest of Northern Pern is getting their usual weather, though they, too, have been called to action following the wildfires that savaged Ista. Many individuals who called Ista Island home have been relocated not just to Ista Weyr, Ista Hold or Sea Cliff Hold, but also to other areas of Pern, whether with family or friends.

Month 08, 739 AL
North: Late Summer | South: Late Winter
17.4 to 25.5 C | 10.8 C to 23.2 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm - 37 to 45 C - has resulted in an incredibly dry summer, with little to no rain. This was climaxed by a dry thunderstorm, the results of which caused three fires to start across the Island on the 24.07.739 in the early morning hours. While the results of this are yet to be played out, the events will no doubt leave more than just the scarring of the land.

Month 07, 739 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter
18.0 to 26.6 C | 10.2 C to 21.9 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm, with average weather being in the 37 to 45 C range, making it now a more than slightly undesirable escape for the rest of the Northern population from the more enjoyable early summer weather. There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind. Ista's limited farmlands and fields are dry and dusty, with golden straw instead of grass where there is any growth at all.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are still getting a lot of evening rain and the occasional thunderstorms, which cools down the populus and allows them to sleep easily without sweating their brains out like the Istans.

There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind.

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself uncommonly warm (~12C / 53.6) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Month 11, 738 AL
North: Late Autumn | South: Late Spring

Autumn is coming to an end, with the days slowly becoming shorter still, with early nights and late mornings. The temperature is getting very cool, with jackets being more required, but it has yet to actually snow. Despite this, it is often raining and miserable.

The Southern contient is in full bloom, with flowers coming to life in the grasses and on the trees. The skies are bright blue with fluffy clouds, and occassional sunshowers bringing a dampness to the day. The nights are still crisp, but not cold. The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 10, 738 AL
North: Mid Autumn | South: Mid Spring

Autumn is in full tilt, with the leaves a shocking array of orange and red, and more of them on the ground than on the trees. The skies are often a clear and crisp blue, with a cool breeze flowing, shifting the leaves and sending them scattering. Rain is not common, but when it does roll in the skies are dark like night come early, and thunderstorms are not uncommon, though they don't last for long and the amount of rain that falls isn't too heavy.

The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 09, 738 AL
North: Start Autumn | South: Start Spring

Nothern regions are entering into Autumn, with the trees beginning to change to their reds and oranges, while the air is beginning to feel more crips. There are still more warm days than cool, and the nights are mostly warm enough for light bedding still. Rain has faded away and most days are clear and bright.

The Southern contient finds itself heading into spring, with rain and flowers vying for attention. The ground is often muddy and squishy, while the skies are either bright and blue, or overcast wtih fluffy clouds.

Month 08, 738 AL
North: End Summer | South: End Winter

Summer is winding to an end in the Northern hemisphere, with the weather slowly cooling and the trees beginning to turn their leaves. The days are still long and bright, but the sun is beginning to lose some of its strength.

The coastal Weyrs are falling victim to coastal storms, strong winds and heavy rains with thunder and lightening.

The more inbound Weyrs and Holds find themselves drier, not getting nearly as much rain or storms, they find themselves on the end of a long drought.

Month 07, 738 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter

Summer is in full spring in the Nothern hemisphere, with the bulk of each day being unbearbly hot, followed by vicious thunderstorms and heavy humidity in the evenings and at night.

The coastal areas are experiencing monsoon like weather, and spend a lot of their time locked away in Hold, Hall or Weyr.

The more inner locations find themselves faced with more dry heat during the day, and horrible humidity in the evening and at night while the thunderstorms rage.

ITS AN UPDATE! HOORAH!

I'm not dead, my loves! This month's Event is 'Close Call!' - have fun! Stamps will be uploaded and on display in our Discord chatroom.

There is a topic here for discussion about Pernese religions and belief systems, including in and out of Weyr opinions (variably and as a whole) in regards to delicate matters, such as birth, death, and the afterlife. Also, ghosts anyone? Now I'm imagining a giant arse dragon ghost....

Healer Hall is accepting Gold Candidates (just from Fort, for now) and R'nya will soon be discussing with his Weyrwoman Rhaedalyn the merits of bringing in additional female candidates.... on the condition they are approved for Healer Apprenticeship...

Thallyath, Casa's little gold dragon, will be taking to the skies for her maiden flight in the first week of April (IC date will be 740-04-01) and while a mate is already decided, this clutch will be PC and more candidates are ALWAYS welcome, whether you want them to Impress this round --- or not!

September 2018

Spring is here! ... In Australia, anyway!

This month’s riveting event is ‘Seas of Fun’, in honour of International Pirate’s Day! After all the drama with the fires, we expect that taking to the sea (or lake, river, pond, etc) would be a very relaxing way to spend some downtime for many dragonriders and Holderfolk alike!

In preparation for October, the even is “Memories of the Past”, which we hope will be a fun way to explore your character’s past, either in solo posts or threads, as inner monolog or as back posting! How you choose to partake is entirely up to you!

October will also see our next PC HATCHING! In order to have your Candidate qualify for Impression, they must have no less than 20 posts! There are lots of characters floating around who would be more than happy to help your Candidate breech that count! Don’t forget to also UPDATE YOUR APPLICATIONS where applicable, or make sure it is submitted at all! We can’t Impress your character if we don’t know what they should be getting!

As always, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! While you’re at it, remember to submit your favourite quotes – from your character’s or others! – to the Quote Submission Thread! We want to see some recent quotes thrown in with our old ones!

If you haven't already, please drop by the Dragonrider Weyr Allocations thread, and let us know where your dragonriders call home. We are hoping to set up Wings across the three PC Weyrs over the next month or so, and your assistance is much appreciated! As a result, we will be looking for Wingleaders, Wingseconds, and of course Candidates for the clutches we have scheduled for this year!

August 2018

ITS AUGUST! Do you know what that means? It means its less than 4 months until Christmas! OMG.

Okay. So moving on! This month sees us (hopefully) wrapping up the Camp Kink event! Who doesn’t love an abundance of young adults exploring their sexuality without restraint? Its been a hell of a fun ride (haha get it?) so far! Can’t wait to see what the grapevine makes of it when words gets out … haha!

On a more serious note, this month will see us engaging in the Istan Wildfires! This event is a free for all! Feel free to have your characters interact with the event in any way you feel is suitable! There is a lot of room here for personal dramas, trouble making, hero worshiping, etcetera! We really want to see how characters interact with, and dictate, the outcome of the event!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

July 2018

July was July-y.

June 2018

Welcome to the new month! Like always, I'm slack in getting the update up and running, but here it is! This month we have the event 'Summer Fling' - [Link] - which is turning out to be all kinds of entertaining already! Remember, it doesn't have to include smut! It could be an innocent date with some - *gasp* - hand holding!

This month also saw Gold Bedith of Mulrissa take to the skies! She was won by young Syrendryth of T'ryn! Congrats, and may your Hatching be less dramatic than the last one! The Hatching will take place in October so you have a lot of time to get Candidates created, approved, and posting up a storm!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

April 2018

Well, it’s halfway through the month which shows you how awful I am at keeping this stuff up to date, haha. Due to my slackness, there is no event this month, but the month of May will be hosting ’Lost Belongings’ wherein characters should find something they – or someone else – lost.

In the meantime, gold Okalinath of Kahleena has taken to the skies! You can find her Flight thread taking place on the 4th, here Currently, there is no planned winner, so be sure to throw your bronzes and browns her way! They do not need to be natives to Telgar Weyr to participate!

March 2018

Welcome to March, my friends!

Unfortunately, this month we don’t have any events set up, so we encourage you to wrap up threads and create some personal plots! Next month will be bringing in a new monthly event (Lost Belongings!) so you can always set your character up for that! If you have ideas for future Events, you can submit them here!. Additionally, you can see upcoming events here!

Speaking of new threads, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! While you’re at it, remember to submit your favourite quotes – from your character’s or others! – to the Quote Submission Thread! We want to see some recent quotes thrown in with our old ones!

January 2018

Welcome to the New Year, one and all! We hope you had an enjoyable and safe holiday season, and we can't wait to see what your characters will get up to over the next twelve months (and beyond!). The Secret Santa Event has been extended until the 30th of January, so for those of you (like me!) who were busy over the end of December, we hope you can get your threads up and running over the next few weeks! There has been a lot of interesting interactions so far! As we extended the SSE, there won't be a specific January event this month! Don't worry though, we have something up our sleeve for February!

With the end of December, our Christmas layout has gone back into hiding! You'll be able to use it again at the end of the year, when Christmas again rolls around. You can expect a new layout for the site in the near future.

December 2017

And so it is December! Can’t believe how fast this year is flying by! At any rate, we have LOTS of fun for you this month! For starters, why don’t you sign up for our Secret Santa Event! Pairs will be assigned on the 14th! You can sign your character(s) up as a Giver, a Receiver or Both! We also hope that you enjoy our Christmas layout, which will be available for use for the entire month of December! After that, it will go into hiding until next Christmas!

We will also be awarding the HORRIFYING MOMENTS stamps to those who qualified for them, as well as the WORDS OF THE MONTH for November. We hope you enjoyed these Events, and you can expect more of them in the upcoming year!

This month we will also be focusing on the RP Records, and request you submit all your threads here so we can update the Timeline! As it says in the thread, the Timeline will be updated every month, in the first week. To help us maintain, be sure to submit your threads as soon as you open them!

November 2017

Welcome to November! We'd love it if you would take the time to Vote in our Horrifying Moments threads! We will also be awarding Stamps for people who vote, not just those who took part! We hope you enjoyed this event as much as we did! You can see the Stamps that will be awarded in the Horrifying Moment's thread.

This month we are doing a 'Words of the Month' event! You can choose your word/s as indicated in the thread, and may particpate with as many characters as you desire! This contest has no voting to earn stamps; you get a stamp just for participating! Enjoy!

October 2017

Welcome to October! As part of our Halloween celebrations, the Horrifying Moments event is now open! You may START a thread at any point during the month of October to qualify it for the event! We hope you have a lot of fun with this event, and we look forward to reading your threads! Don't forget to "Like" the threads you enjoy most, so we can award someone the MOST HORRIFYING stamp! Stamps will be revealed later in the month!

September 2017

Welcome to September! This month, we're working on our Awards for the site! We are also advertising avidly! Please welcome any guests or new members with all that warm charm we know you all posess! That said, we are still seeking Affiliates, so if you're here to drop an ad, please consider us!

Our next PC Clutch will be in the new year, so now is the pefect time to join with old candidates (how many clutches have they stood for now?!) and candidate hopefuls! Get those eager young men and women out there and grow them so we can match them with their perfect lifemate when the new year rolls around and one of our lovely golds throws a clutch on the Sands -- At this point in time, the Weyrs are sharing Candidates, so your Candidate can be Searched by any Weyr, and transfer to the one holding the PC clutch!

August 2017

We are officially open for our relaunch, and are excited to meet and greet new RPers! We're currently looking for all types of characters, including Weyrleaders and goldriders! But we also have lots of room for green and blueriders, weyrfolk, candidates, and all types of Hall folk, such as Masters, Journeymen and Apprentices. If you have any questions, feel free to hit us up in the Cbox or Discord chats, which can be found on the lower part of the screen.

July 2017

We are currently having an event to Create Adoptables! And encourage everyone to take part!

History is almost complete, and the profile has been re-coded. All new characters will need to go onto the new profile, but all old can keep their current! We'll begin advertising properly over the next couple of weeks, once the history has been completed, and probably after the weekend of the 8th and 9th, because that is when ThistleProse is having her birthday.

June 2017

We are on the brink of relaunching! Our history is being rewritten and cleaned up! We are accepting new members, and old! Our advertisment has been re-written, and will be put out there soon. We are also accepting affiliates of all descriptions, genres and themes! If you would like to affiliate with us, please go here
We officially have two layouts! You can post here with any issues you find, or request any changes!

May 2017

Progress has slowed down a little, due to RL events (yay promotions! Boo no internet!) but we're getting back on track! Documents are still being written and we've put together a FAQs page, though its likely to recieve a lot of adjustments as we come across things. The current goal is to have everything set up and ready by July, but we'll see how well we go at that. And by we, I mean ThistleProse. lol.

April 2017

The layout is almost complete, but there is still a lot of work to be done; documents are being written up and can be found in the Site Map menu opion. Players can begin to move their characters' information to their Account Profiles, but be aware some changes may still be made and/or added.
If you find any bugs or issues, plese repot them here, and we will do our best to fix them in a timely manner.

Appearance
a lyrical subheading

Eyes: Soulful, and of a captivating grey-green, N'mor's eyes are slightly on the smaller side of regular and surrounded by thick, dark blonde lashes. Despite the way they can easily draw someone in, N'mor's eyes rarely give away what thoughts are going on inside his mind. Slightly untidy but well shaped eyebrows arch neatly over them, a few shades darker than his hair.

Hair: N'mor's hair sits somewhere between brown and reddish, with a ruddy hue that catches the light and highlights in the summer. Despite the preference of many of his fellow riders for the close cropped style, N'mor clearly favours a shaggy cut, keeping his hair long enough to be messy and get in his eyes, but not long enough to actively do anything with. He keeps it well maintianed and clean, but refuses to shave it off.

Height: 5'11 when fully grown, N'mor lingers on the shorter side of his companions, who all seem to hit growth spurts before him.

General Appearance: While his eyes are captivating, the thing most people notice off the bat about N’mor is that his right arm is missing. Crushed during the landslide at Katila on the 30.07.234 AL, N’mor lost the limb partway between elbow and shoulder, and as a result, wears the sleeves of that shirt pinned up, when not specially made to be without the sleeve.

Now left handed by default, N’mor’s hand is soft from dragon oiling, but nimble and with quick fingers, his handwriting having improved in the past couple of Turns, and his nails are often chewed down to a respectable length simply because the idea of getting someone to clip his nails for him is laughably embarrassing, and more than slightly awkward.

Still growing, N’mor shifts between being tall and muscled, and having the lean coltish look of someone who just went through a growth spurt. He has long limbs and broad shoulders kept well-muscled by a dutiful dedication to his daily exercises – partly rehabilitation after he lost his arm, and partly pure determination not to be left struggling amongst his peers – and the requirements of looking after a large bronze dragon.

Dressing Style: N'mor dresses tidlity and with pride in his appearance, despite what his wind-tossed hair would convince one otherwise. Proud to be a dragonrider, N'mor is never ashamed to don his dragonriding leathers, which are kept neat and clean by both his own standard, and that of his Wingleader. On his own terms, and in general day to day life, N'mor wears loose slacks and a tidy shirt, the colours varying by his mood and what he happens to be up to at any given time. As a growing young man, his available outfits change regualarly as he outgrows things, but with his sister being fostered by their Aunt, N'mor has found a willing beneficial to dress him in if not the latest fashion, at least the best fitting clothing he could ask for.

Personality
a lyrical subheading

General Character Traits: At his core, N’mor is a traditionalist; he likes both stability and consistency and believes that the way things have been done has worked, and will continue to work, and as such there is no need to change or move away from traditional methods. Despite – or perhaps because of – having a female bluerider for a mother, N’mor is far more of the belief that women should only ride gold than he will ever be comfortable with them on green and blue, especially young girls like his little sister, whom he has done his best to be a good big brother to, and set a proper example for.

Valuing hard work and responsibility, N’mor is someone who puts his head down to get tasks done in a timely manner, making sure they are done correctly and to the best of his ability. Unable to abide by laziness in others, N’mor will be quick to cast dark looks towards wingmates who are slacking off, and has been known to frown disapprovingly when his father’s laziness is mentioned; N’mor working hard to get away from such a shadow though he has no issue with the responsibility his father picked up as an active Weyrlingmaster, taking pride in the fact that the man brought both N’mor and his dragon, and their entire clutch, safely through Weyrlinghood.

N’mor is far from a socialite, being a quiet and withdrawn young man who only speaks up when required or when he feels what he has to say is important. As a result, his friends are few and far between, but nonetheless, N’mor takes pride in always keeping his promises to others, especially his friends or those of a higher rank than himself. A broken promise is something N’mor finds shameful, and will mull over for weeks at a time on the rare occasions when he fails to uphold his word. Additionally, N’mor has a need for people to play by the rules, though those rules aren’t always the social norms; he has expectations for each rank and each colour, and when they fall outside of those expectations he can become confused and flustered.

Schedules and routine are important to N’mor, who finds it easier to function when he knows what is expected of him, and when. A large part of this came about after he lost his arm, and found that some tasks that once were completed with ease are now so much more difficult, and a lot of simple things can’t be done at all by himself anymore. Because of this, N’mor finds sudden changes to his day to day living both unacceptable and frustrating, often causing the young man’s mood to sour with little warning. Hand in hand with his daily schedules, N’mor loves structure; he loves knowing what fits where, and the why of it all. He needs to know his rank, and how he fits in with the other wingriders of his assignment, as well as how they all slot into the daily life of the Weyr both on the ground, and in the air.

Habits/Mannerisms: Being a proud young man, he walks with his head held high and his shoulders proud; he's never one to shuffle along looking at the ground or avoiding attention though he won't actively seek it, either. N'mor is incredibly quiet spoken, and only chooses to speak up when he feels that what he has to say is of importance. In combination with his proud stance, N'mor can command a crowd and demand attention without having to actually work hard at it.

Opinions:
      Threadfall Theory: It will return.
Stealing/Kidnapping: It was wrong, but desperate measures usually are.
Firelizards: Reserved. While glad the little creatures survived, N’mor isn’t overly fond of them.
Return North: Relieved. Now they can be proper dragonriders again.

Likes:
[div class="KATILANIMPspinelists"]T’ryn:
fellow bronzerider and a son of R’nd, T’ryn has been a lifesaver for N’mor who was bedridden for weeks after losing his arms, just hours after Impressing to Rhezalth. T’ryn took care of Rhezalth alongside B’jin (who was also their Weyrlingmaster), while N’mor was incapacitated, and stepped up and helped N’mor throughout Weyrlinghood without ever actually making N’mor feel as if he were a burden upon his friend.
Familiarity:
N’mor loves routine, and the reassuring knowledge that comes with waking up in the morning and knowing exactly what is expected of him for the upcoming hours. While changes are dealt with without too much issue, N’mor prefers it when things go to plan; he’s had enough excitement in his life thanks to losing his arm to be quite enough.
Music:
it would be hard for anyone raised by B’jin not to have a deep respect and taste for music. While N’mor is not overly fond of the sound of his own singing voice, he has a love of listening to both instruments and the sound of singing, especially his father. While he doesn’t make a habit of it, N’mor has been known to wring out the occasional song, though he has yet to make any of them public or even share them with friends or father.
Dislikes:
Pity:
The surest way to anger N'mor is to offer him pity, particuarly in regards to the loss of his right arm. While he is missing the limb, and indeed has some struggle with day to day life as a result, he has no intention of taking handouts from those that surround him, and he certainly doesn't want anybody's pity!
Blue dragons:
While N’mor has never given any explanation as to why, he has a great dislike of blue dragons and is especially mistrustful of those who are bonded to women. It is believed by those closest to the bronzerider that his mistrust stems from some situation with his mother’s blue, but no answer has ever been given one way or another, with N’mor answering any such questions with a stony look and cool silence.
Liars and Cheats:
there are a lot of things N’mor will ignore, but liars and cheats are people that will quickly gain N’mor’s attention, and not in a good way. He has no qualms about turning tail and tattling on wingmates or classmates that have big mouths about shirking their duties, or that he catches out, and he cares not what they think of him for turning them in.
Strengths:
Perseverance:
N’mor is clearly and easily defined as steadfast, always working forward towards a final goal, despite how difficult the progress may be. His tenacity wasn’t something that was obvious about him until the loss of his arm, where the characteristic became a highlighter for the young man’s pure need to be independent and capable of taking care not only of himself, but also of his newly bonded dragon.
Integrity:
Honest and true spoken, N’mor rarely speaks unless needed and when he does open his mouth, what falls from his lips is always truthful and honest. He takes pride in being an example by which others can strive to be like, and is never shy to step forward even when what he is relaying is bad news or tattling on individuals he knows to be out of line as he feels someone needs to do it. N’mor always takes responsibility for his actions and his words, unafraid to claim his own mistakes as well as take the praise for tasks well done.
Leadership:
Being quiet spoken and honest, N’mor doesn’t so much have the charisma for leadership as he does the steady head and quiet authority of someone who knows how to act in an emergency and keep control of a situation. He isn’t afraid of much of anything, and his ability to keep his emotions and reactions under wraps when doing emergency drills or during literal emergencies makes him a natural candidate for leadership when required.
Flaws: Please include at least one sentence each explaining how they are a flaw for your character. We encourage a character to posses more flaws than strengths and the two should not mirror each other.
Mistrustful:
N’mor is usually simply written off as quiet and reserved, but in reality he is deeply mistrustful of other people and their motives, especially those who are bonded to blue dragons. Keeping quiet and out of mind, N’mor keeps a watchful eye and waits for the people around him to prove his mistrust of them worth point; just because they haven’t yet, doesn’t mean they won’t. Because they will, eventually.
Arrogant:
While N’mor won’t outright go around telling people he is better than them, the young bronzerider has a clear opinion on most matters, and his tendency to be right about things does nothing to curb the arrogant ego that is hiding under the surface of this quiet watcher.
Prejudiced:
N’mor is a quiet sexist, feeling that the proper place for women is doing their womanly duties, and not Impressing dragons that aren’t gold, or running around in positions of rank and authority. It takes a lot for a woman to win N’mor’s respect when she is outside of her traditional role, and if she happens to be bonded to a blue dragon, she has almost no hope of winning him over, no matter how hard she works.

Background Story:
222 & Birth:
N'mor is born to bluerider Isnary of Dynith, the result of the aforementioned blue winning Larrikith of B’jin's flight. The birth is uneventful, and the infant is healthy and strong with a good set of lungs on him. B’jin, who was made aware of Isnary's pregnancy early on, is present for the birth and delighted at the prospect of being a father; Indamor as he was named was B’jin's first child.
224 AL & 2:
Indamor is a toddling youngster who is completely oblivious to the hightened emotions raging around the Weyr as the Northerners come to investigate the hopeful romour that there are dragons in the South.
225 & 3:
A nasty storm sweeps through the Weyr, destroying the home of Isnary and her children. Indamor is lucky to escape without a scratch due to being in the creche when a tree fell across their home.
226 & 4:
Indamor gets sick with the firehead and barely manages to scratch through the illness in one piece. Additionally, his half sister is born late in the turn.
227 & 5:
Indamor is swept up in the excitement of the gold dragon laying eggs, and told by his mother that some day he could be a dragonrider too! The chubby five year old becomes enraptured with his future as a dragonrider.
230 & 8:
Indamor is amongst the collection of Weyrbrats left under the supervision of those that are old enough to babysit but too young to partake in the drinking and partying that is the graduation of the Weyrlings to fully fledged dragonriders. Indamor spends a lot of the evening watching out for his little sister, who was being picked on by another child.
231 & 9:
Indamor is old enough to take note of the cancelled Searching, but too young to take part in the upcoming clutch, which leaves the youngster frustrated. He keeps his feelings to himself, however, and spends more time stealing Larrikith away for evening rides when she isn't busy with his father.

This is required for ALL characters, regardless of if they are your first or twenty-th. RP Sample must use the character described in the profile above and be an indication of your average posting size and style.

Please do not use NPCs, as we feel bad telling you that you will need to rewrite when you do so.

The best way to do this is to use it as a Thread Starter for your character, then you can post it upon acceptance and jump right into RPing!

General Appearance:
Weyrlinghood: It would be a bit of a quiz, to decide what about Rhezalth is more notable upon his Hatching - the fact that he is clearly a pudgy dragonet, or the stark green colouring on his headknobs and muzzle. Both aspects of the youngster will be carried well into his Weyrlinghood, with his weight not settling into a more finely toned sense until his hide begins to peel, and flying becomes an active part of his daily routine.

Rhezalth has a particularly boring hide - lime green muzzle excluded. A dull, and not at all eye catching bronze colours his body in a sheet, completely unblemished. There are no highlights or shadows to his colouring that aren't brought about directly by contact (or lack there of) with the sun itself. Were it not for his exceedingly dull hide, however, the green upon both his nose and his headknobs may well have gone unnoticed entirely. Instead, the markings are blatantly obvious, and commented upon almost as much as the dragonets overweight tendencies.
