Month 12, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Winter -3 - 2 C | 26 - 35 F
Fort is already home to snowfalls, though early in the month they fade away when the sun rises. As the month progresses, more snow stays on the ground, ending up with several feet of snow before the month is over. The areas around homes and populations has the snow shoveled away or trodden down. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove some danger and are routinely removed.

Ista Boundaries:
Winter, 9 - 21 C | 48 - 69 F
Generally warm enough to go about without a jacket on, Ista has low humidity but high chance of rain, generally in the form of vicious afternoon thunderstorms. The storms wash away any bite of heat the day had, and leave it feeling fresh for the night. The days are short, but grow bright quickly and the afternoons seem to be particularly short when heavy thunderstorms roll in and cover the sky.

Telgar Boundaries:
Winter, -5 - 0 C | 23 - 32 F
Bitterly cold, with icy winds constantly flowing down from the mountains. Freezing rain is almost constant; the sky always a murky grey and the ground slippery with slushy refrozen ice. The days are extremely short, with the nights dropping a good number below the daily average. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove a major danger, and are checked upon every day, with anything bigger than a fist being removed.

Month 07, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Summer 27 - 38 C | 80 - 100 F
Light breezes down from the mountains tot he North keep the temperature comfortable, even when the sun can bake an egg on the edge of a weyr. Sunburn is common.

Ista Boundaries:
Summer, 34 - 43 C | 93 - 110 F
A very dry, dusty heat. Little to no rain, causing more than some to worry about the drought not breaking and the rest of the Isle being at risk of fires. Many seek the depths of weyr, hold or hall during the midday and early afternoon heat.

Telgar Boundaries:
Summer, 26 - 35 C | 79 - 95 F
Muggy, sticky and generally just plain humid. Thunder storms are regular occurances, often happening in the early afternoon or evening, with heavy rainfall before drying off sometime in the night. Mornings are usually crisp, but warm up swiftly.

[[Update slowly in progress because ThistleProse is a slackarse :3 lmao ]]

Month 04, 740 AL
North: Early Spring | South: Early Autumn
−1.9 C to 4.7 C | 20.0 C to 29.0

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself naturally warmer, (~10C / 50) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Katila is beginning to cool down to more reasonable temperature, but is no less muggy and uncomfortable to those who are not used to the seasons. It is still a good place to escape to when seeking a warm day or a nice swim at the lake, though.

The Red Star can be seen by those who choose to see it, causing no shortage of whispers that Thread will return - and just as much dismissal from those who do not believe. After all, it's been so long, surely it is no longer a threat! Weyrleaders are, regardless, beginning to put together wings in their Weyrs, if only to keep troublesome and bored riders busy.

Month 03, 740 AL

Month 12, 739 AL
North: Early Winter| South: Early Summer
-3.1 to 2.1 C | 20.4 C to 29.4 C

Winter has come slowly to the Northern lands of Pern, with more rain and cold winds than snow. As the month progresses, more and more snow will fall, with frequent blizzard-like storms towards the very end of the month. Telgar and Fort will in particular become burried under mountains of snow, while Ista is sunjected to frequent icy rainstorms, and heavy winds coming in from across the ocean.

13.4 to 21.0 C | 13.8 C to 25.6 C

Following the disastrous fires (sometime in around the 28th of Month 08), Ista Isle has found itself suddenly in the midst of constant rain; not enough to flood, but a steady, dreary downfall that seems to only take a time out for a couple of hours here and there, before coming back again. Its cast the entire sooty Isle into a sombre and depressed mood. Alongside the rain, the weather is muggy and while not hot, is not particularly cool, either.

The rest of Northern Pern is getting their usual weather, though they, too, have been called to action following the wildfires that savaged Ista. Many individuals who called Ista Island home have been relocated not just to Ista Weyr, Ista Hold or Sea Cliff Hold, but also to other areas of Pern, whether with family or friends.

Month 08, 739 AL
North: Late Summer | South: Late Winter
17.4 to 25.5 C | 10.8 C to 23.2 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm - 37 to 45 C - has resulted in an incredibly dry summer, with little to no rain. This was climaxed by a dry thunderstorm, the results of which caused three fires to start across the Island on the 24.07.739 in the early morning hours. While the results of this are yet to be played out, the events will no doubt leave more than just the scarring of the land.

Month 07, 739 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter
18.0 to 26.6 C | 10.2 C to 21.9 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm, with average weather being in the 37 to 45 C range, making it now a more than slightly undesirable escape for the rest of the Northern population from the more enjoyable early summer weather. There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind. Ista's limited farmlands and fields are dry and dusty, with golden straw instead of grass where there is any growth at all.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are still getting a lot of evening rain and the occasional thunderstorms, which cools down the populus and allows them to sleep easily without sweating their brains out like the Istans.

There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are getting a lot of rain, thunderstorms, and cloudy days. Grass is growing, flowers flowering, and baby animals popping up all over the place! Yay spring!

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. Month 11, 738 AL
North: Late Autumn | South: Late Spring

Autumn is coming to an end, with the days slowly becoming shorter still, with early nights and late mornings. The temperature is getting very cool, with jackets being more required, but it has yet to actually snow. Despite this, it is often raining and miserable.

The Southern contient is in full bloom, with flowers coming to life in the grasses and on the trees. The skies are bright blue with fluffy clouds, and occassional sunshowers bringing a dampness to the day. The nights are still crisp, but not cold. The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 10, 738 AL
North: Mid Autumn | South: Mid Spring

Autumn is in full tilt, with the leaves a shocking array of orange and red, and more of them on the ground than on the trees. The skies are often a clear and crisp blue, with a cool breeze flowing, shifting the leaves and sending them scattering. Rain is not common, but when it does roll in the skies are dark like night come early, and thunderstorms are not uncommon, though they don't last for long and the amount of rain that falls isn't too heavy.

Month 09, 738 AL
North: Start Autumn | South: Start Spring

Nothern regions are entering into Autumn, with the trees beginning to change to their reds and oranges, while the air is beginning to feel more crips. There are still more warm days than cool, and the nights are mostly warm enough for light bedding still. Rain has faded away and most days are clear and bright.

The Southern contient finds itself heading into spring, with rain and flowers vying for attention. The ground is often muddy and squishy, while the skies are either bright and blue, or overcast wtih fluffy clouds.

Month 08, 738 AL
North: End Summer | South: End Winter

Summer is winding to an end in the Northern hemisphere, with the weather slowly cooling and the trees beginning to turn their leaves. The days are still long and bright, but the sun is beginning to lose some of its strength.

The coastal Weyrs are falling victim to coastal storms, strong winds and heavy rains with thunder and lightening.

The more inbound Weyrs and Holds find themselves drier, not getting nearly as much rain or storms, they find themselves on the end of a long drought.

Month 07, 738 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter

Summer is in full spring in the Nothern hemisphere, with the bulk of each day being unbearbly hot, followed by vicious thunderstorms and heavy humidity in the evenings and at night.

The coastal areas are experiencing monsoon like weather, and spend a lot of their time locked away in Hold, Hall or Weyr.

The more inner locations find themselves faced with more dry heat during the day, and horrible humidity in the evening and at night while the thunderstorms rage.

ITS AN UPDATE! HOORAH!

I'm not dead, my loves! This month's Event is 'Close Call!' - have fun! Stamps will be uploaded and on display in our Discord chatroom.

There is a topic here for discussion about Pernese religions and belief systems, including in and out of Weyr opinions (variably and as a whole) in regards to delicate matters, such as birth, death, and the afterlife. Also, ghosts anyone? Now I'm imagining a giant arse dragon ghost....

Healer Hall is accepting Gold Candidates (just from Fort, for now) and R'nya will soon be discussing with his Weyrwoman Rhaedalyn the merits of bringing in additional female candidates.... on the condition they are approved for Healer Apprenticeship...

Thallyath, Casa's little gold dragon, will be taking to the skies for her maiden flight in the first week of April (IC date will be 740-04-01) and while a mate is already decided, this clutch will be PC and more candidates are ALWAYS welcome, whether you want them to Impress this round --- or not!

September 2018

Spring is here! ... In Australia, anyway!

This month’s riveting event is ‘Seas of Fun’, in honour of International Pirate’s Day! After all the drama with the fires, we expect that taking to the sea (or lake, river, pond, etc) would be a very relaxing way to spend some downtime for many dragonriders and Holderfolk alike!

In preparation for October, the even is “Memories of the Past”, which we hope will be a fun way to explore your character’s past, either in solo posts or threads, as inner monolog or as back posting! How you choose to partake is entirely up to you!

October will also see our next PC HATCHING! In order to have your Candidate qualify for Impression, they must have no less than 20 posts! There are lots of characters floating around who would be more than happy to help your Candidate breech that count! Don’t forget to also UPDATE YOUR APPLICATIONS where applicable, or make sure it is submitted at all! We can’t Impress your character if we don’t know what they should be getting!

As always, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! While you’re at it, remember to submit your favourite quotes – from your character’s or others! – to the Quote Submission Thread! We want to see some recent quotes thrown in with our old ones!

If you haven't already, please drop by the Dragonrider Weyr Allocations thread, and let us know where your dragonriders call home. We are hoping to set up Wings across the three PC Weyrs over the next month or so, and your assistance is much appreciated! As a result, we will be looking for Wingleaders, Wingseconds, and of course Candidates for the clutches we have scheduled for this year!

August 2018

ITS AUGUST! Do you know what that means? It means its less than 4 months until Christmas! OMG.

Okay. So moving on! This month sees us (hopefully) wrapping up the Camp Kink event! Who doesn’t love an abundance of young adults exploring their sexuality without restraint? Its been a hell of a fun ride (haha get it?) so far! Can’t wait to see what the grapevine makes of it when words gets out … haha!

On a more serious note, this month will see us engaging in the Istan Wildfires! This event is a free for all! Feel free to have your characters interact with the event in any way you feel is suitable! There is a lot of room here for personal dramas, trouble making, hero worshiping, etcetera! We really want to see how characters interact with, and dictate, the outcome of the event!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

July 2018

July was July-y.

June 2018

Welcome to the new month! Like always, I'm slack in getting the update up and running, but here it is! This month we have the event 'Summer Fling' - [Link] - which is turning out to be all kinds of entertaining already! Remember, it doesn't have to include smut! It could be an innocent date with some - *gasp* - hand holding!

This month also saw Gold Bedith of Mulrissa take to the skies! She was won by young Syrendryth of T'ryn! Congrats, and may your Hatching be less dramatic than the last one! The Hatching will take place in October so you have a lot of time to get Candidates created, approved, and posting up a storm!

Those of you who are intersted, please take part in a discussion about the Plot for opening up the Healer Hall! You can find it [here].

April 2018

Well, it’s halfway through the month which shows you how awful I am at keeping this stuff up to date, haha. Due to my slackness, there is no event this month, but the month of May will be hosting ’Lost Belongings’ wherein characters should find something they – or someone else – lost.

In the meantime, gold Okalinath of Kahleena has taken to the skies! You can find her Flight thread taking place on the 4th, here Currently, there is no planned winner, so be sure to throw your bronzes and browns her way! They do not need to be natives to Telgar Weyr to participate!

March 2018

Welcome to March, my friends!

Unfortunately, this month we don’t have any events set up, so we encourage you to wrap up threads and create some personal plots! Next month will be bringing in a new monthly event (Lost Belongings!) so you can always set your character up for that! If you have ideas for future Events, you can submit them here!. Additionally, you can see upcoming events here!

Speaking of new threads, be sure to submit your threads to the IC RP Timeline submission thread, so they can be added to the list! January 2018

Welcome to the New Year, one and all! We hope you had an enjoyable and safe holiday season, and we can't wait to see what your characters will get up to over the next twelve months (and beyond!). The Secret Santa Event has been extended until the 30th of January, so for those of you (like me!) who were busy over the end of December, we hope you can get your threads up and running over the next few weeks! There has been a lot of interesting interactions so far! As we extended the SSE, there won't be a specific January event this month! Don't worry though, we have something up our sleeve for February!

Our next PC Clutch will be in the new year, so now is the pefect time to join with old candidates (how many clutches have they stood for now?!) and candidate hopefuls! Get those eager young men and women out there and grow them so we can match them with their perfect lifemate when the new year rolls around and one of our lovely golds throws a clutch on the Sands -- At this point in time, the Weyrs are sharing Candidates, so your Candidate can be Searched by any Weyr, and transfer to the one holding the PC clutch!

August 2017

We are officially open for our relaunch, and are excited to meet and greet new RPers! We're currently looking for all types of characters, including Weyrleaders and goldriders! But we also have lots of room for green and blueriders, weyrfolk, candidates, and all types of Hall folk, such as Masters, Journeymen and Apprentices. July 2017

We are currently having an event to Create Adoptables! And encourage everyone to take part!

History is almost complete, and the profile has been re-coded. All new characters will need to go onto the new profile, but all old can keep their current! We'll begin advertising properly over the next couple of weeks, once the history has been completed, and probably after the weekend of the 8th and 9th, because that is when ThistleProse is having her birthday.

June 2017

We are on the brink of relaunching! Our history is being rewritten and cleaned up! We are accepting new members, and old! Our advertisment has been re-written, and will be put out there soon. We are also accepting affiliates of all descriptions, genres and themes! If you would like to affiliate with us, please go here
We officially have two layouts! You can post here with any issues you find, or request any changes!

May 2017

Progress has slowed down a little, due to RL events (yay promotions! Boo no internet!) but we're getting back on track! Documents are still being written and we've put together a FAQs page, though its likely to recieve a lot of adjustments as we come across things. The current goal is to have everything set up and ready by July, but we'll see how well we go at that. And by we, I mean ThistleProse. lol.

April 2017

The layout is almost complete, but there is still a lot of work to be done; documents are being written up and can be found in the Site Map menu opion. Players can begin to move their characters' information to their Account Profiles, but be aware some changes may still be made and/or added.
If you find any bugs or issues, plese repot them here, and we will do our best to fix them in a timely manner.

Silute landed by the lakes edge having headed out for a bit of a swim for him and Teegarth. Both enjoyed nature and playing in the water so they snuck away and did it ever chance they got. Is anyone around do you think SiluteTeegarth said timidly.  Looks find to me I don't see anyone about  don't worry no one gonna notice us out here taking and swim and besides were just swimming not like we doing anything bad.

Well I worry everyone on edge  Oh look a pretty rock Teegarths attention is absorbed by a white round like object well not excactly perfectly round more like oval in shape. Silute leaned down and brushed the sand away from the object. Teegarth I think its a egg. You found a egg. Silute chuckled softly and reached down to pick it up. He didn't see any others near it and wondered if maybe someone might of missed this one. He knew that they been looking lately in this area for the eggs after all them firelizards hatched for the candidates and some riders.  I wonder if anything is in this one Hatch it! Teegarth said softly then his attention was taking up by the form of leaves on  the trees and he went to look at it leaving Silute with his thoughts.

The egg is from the birthday drawing.

It is a beautiful day out N'kal, we should do something fun!, came Torath's pleasant even tone, though he sounded a bit excitable today. N'kal wasn't in a horrible mood himself, at least not at the moment, and supposed it would be kind of nice to disappear and relax, which was what he usually did, but most of the time Torath was off with the other dragons sunning himself like a big baby.

'Yeah, alright.', he sent back after a moments thought. 'What would you like to do today?' It was several minutes before he responded with, The lake!! Let's go to the lake!! We can swim and roll in the sand!. N'kal gave a grunt but chuckled a bit. He was certainly glad that Torath wasn't a green as he couldn't handle him so cheerful all the time. 'Alright, give me a bit and we can go.

An hour or so later N'kal had a small pack hung over one shoulder and they were lazily drifting toward the lake when Torath rumbled. Looks like we are not the only one's out to enjoy the day!  N'kal grunted as Torath banked left and sure enough there was a blue and his rider on the beach. Right then he was more then glad to turn around and go home, and almost said as much, but Torath beat him to it, Please can we stay? It's only one blue and his rider..It can't hurt..Oh! It's little Teegarth!

N'kal knew of Teegarth and his rider Silute. He didn't hang around him much because he was a bit to friendly for his tastes, but the kid was alright. His dragon was a runt and was picked on by some of the others and it pissed him off. 'Yeah alright. Land already before I change my mind' Torath trumpeted his pleasure and dove for the beach, causing N'kal to tighten his grip as he had left without his saddle again. Torath pulled up several yards away from the blue and his rider, landing gentle as not to jar N'kal more then he already had. He laid down so N'kal could slide down his shoulder and leg, jumping the last couple feet and landing solidly.

He hadn't had any intention of bothering Silute but Torath had bent he great neck to nose him gently. Come on.., he urged and grumbling he rolled his eyes at the great swirling blue eye before him. 'Fine fine...you're lucky I love you..great beastly pain...' He scratched Torath's eye ridge a moment until he rumbled deeply, then turned to the blue and Silute and raised a hand in greeting as Torath offered his own greeting to Teegarth, Hello, may we join you?.

Yes please join us. We would like that Teegarth replied.  Silute looked up from where he was looking having put the egg in his pocket with some warm sand before looking up to see who had joined them.  He smiled softly "  Hello  N'kal  and Torath"  Silute inclined his head in greeting.  " Did you come for a swim?" He asked softly. He knew the lake was a perfect place for the dragons to swim even Teegarth loved to swim  especially when he had the need to feel clean.

"Or did you come to hunt for them eggies that everyone has been talking about  all over the weyr.?" He didn't think N'kal was a  egg hunter but he asked anyways just to make sure.  " He folded his hands behind his head as he watched them approach him. Silute's smile was warm and welcoming. He loved people and liked to be around them. Though with Teegarth being teased  they been avoiding  people lately and going off on their own more which is totally out of character for  Silute but he loved his dragon enough to give him what he wanted a times.

Torath bugled his happiness at the invitation and actually trotted over to the smaller dragon and looked him over. You really are just a tiny thing. He rumbled softly as he got closer to the blue. Have the other's stopped teasing you?, he questioned with a bit of a protective tone to his voice.

Torath was more then willing to get all growly and snarly at anyone teasing others. He did NOT like when others were teased for size or color. While he waited a response, he very lazily folded his wings and dropped to the ground, rolled onto his back, and started wriggling about in the warm sand, forgetting about the riders for a moment and spraying sand around with his tail.

N'kal grunted as he watched Torath go be his usual self. It warmed his heart just a bit to know Torath was still protective over those that needed it, N'kal was too, for the right people. He turned his attention back to the younger rider and gave a stiff sort of smile and jerked a thumb at Torath. "He's swimmin', I'm watchin'", he said in his usual gruff manor, to which Torath quit rolling in the sand to look at him upside down. Not fair!!, came a sullen answer followed by Torath's attempt at a whine, which was more of a gurgling sound. "Oh for crying out loud...hush...I'll get in when I am good and ready."

He actually cracked a slight grin and shook his head before looking back at Silute. "Eggs?", he said with a raised brow as he thought about what he had meant. Apparently the boy didn't realize the man before him avoided people and therefore had no idea most of the time about the local talk. It took a minute for him to figure out what he meant. "Oh...those damnable firelizard eggs?" He gave a shrug and glanced over at the dragons. "Torath wants me to get one so he can play with it.." No sooner did he say that Torath flipped himself over, spraying sand everywhere and reared up on his back legs, bugling to the sky before dropping to all four feet again. Pleeeaaassseeee?! Come on N'kal!! Just one!?!

His lips twitched and he laughed deep in his throat, it always amused him when Torath broke his usual temperment and acted this way. "I am still not convinced they are safe to be around dragons..." Torath grumbled and sat and hunched his neck and shoulders in a quite convincing pout before he looked over at Teegarth. He's being mean...want to swim? N'kal looked from Silute to Torath and would have thrown something at him if he had hand something. "Hey! How am I mean for wanting to make sure you're safe? Brat dragon...Bah! Go swim!"

Looking back at Silute he sighed. "Forgive my...less then enthusiastic opinion of firelizards." He turned his gaze to Torath and grumbled. "We fled the plague that was believed to have been caused by them. I am not eager to see him or any other dragon sick ever again." His eyes darkened and his face set into a scowl. He hadn't meant it too, but the past still hurt damnit.

Teegarth tensed slightly as Torath approached and mentioned his size but he relaxed as he realized the big bronze was only making an observation of his size and not teasing. They have stopped for the most part. Thought I do hear snickers and whispers sometimes when they believe that I do not.   Teegarth admitted softy

Silute chuckled as the big bronze just flopped onto the ground and started to wiggle around. Sure at first he was worried about Torath upsetting Teegarth but then when he realized he wasn’t he turned his attention back to N’kal.  His grin grew wider as he heard N’kal say that only his dragon was doing the swimming because he was just going to be watching.  He knew that the bronze argued with N’kal about it because he noticed his look and then his reply confirmed Silute's suspicions

Silute decided to keep the egg a secret.  He sure didn’t know that the bronze rider didn’t talk to the others or pay attention to the gossip around the weyr.  He blushed softly realizing he set the bronze off again  as he flipped over and sprayed everyone with sand.  He watched the display the bronze made and wondered if it was a long standing argument or a least discussion between the two of them.

Yes let’s go for a swim. I love to swim. Silute can swim well to he often does when it’s just us. Teegarth said softly.  Teegarth headed for the water. Silute watched him go he knew the blue loved the water and swimming especially when it was a hot dry day.  He looked back over at N’kal “well you do have reason for thinking that. So there is nothing to forgive.  Especially since you older riders were there at the time and have valid concerns.  We younger riders never experienced it so we don’t know and we are not afraid but it doesn’t make you concerns less valid.  “

Torath growled and snapped his jaw, standing over the blue and swinging his big head around as if looking for something, like he expected another dragon to be near by to pick on the blue at that moment. I do NOT like this! He dipped his head and one great swirling yellow and orange eye got close to Teegarth's face before he rumbled deeply. You tell me, or find me if it gets out of hand. I will help you. There are too few of us left, to be worried about what size or color a dragon is! He stomped his front feet on the ground and fanned out his wings a moment before folding them again, all teeth and growling, very unhappy that Teegarth is being harassed.

N'kal for once relaxed his face into something close to apologetic when he looked at Silute, before calling out to Torath. "Calm down Torath, come on now. We're out here to relax remember?" Torath swung his head around toward N'kal and looked at him, his eyes still swirling angrily. He snorted softly at N'kal, which was nearly as bad as him blowing raspberries at him. He sighed, moved forward and scratched his eye ridge. "Stop scaring Teegarth with your growling and snapping. I am sure if he ever needs your help he will ask.  Now calm down." He was calm and gentle with him and kept scratching him until he was calm, when his eyes were slowly swirling blue he felt safe enough to turn back to Silute.

"Sorry, I hope Teegarth isn't to upset. Torath can get a bit...excitable when it comes to others being picked on and teased." N'kal wasn't one for discussing the past with people, but he felt the need to explain, at least a little, "We uh...we've got a bit of history with this same situation. Touchy for us both I s'pose.", and left it at that.

N'kal was glad that Torath did not continue with his pouting about the firelizards after calming down about the Teegarth situation, though he was likely to hear about it at a later date, if not on their way home. He watched as the sulky bronze followed the quiet Teegarth into the water. Once in the water however his mood seemed to have lifted again. He trumpeted at Teegarth, and took off swimming, folding his wings and going under the surface for a minute or so before breaking the surface, splashing water everywhere. Content for the moment he swam in a lazy wide circle around Teegarth and answered his previous comment. N'kal can swim too when I can get him in the water.... He then shot a pointed look at N'kal before rolling over in the water, then resuming his lazy circles.

N'kal grunted a bit, back to his normal self, at Silute's words. "Yes well...you younger riders would do well to heed us and take caution when introducing those little beasts back around our dragons. We are so few, they would not survive another outbreak." His gruffness died away to a solemn tone as he watched Torath swim with Teegarth. "Bah!", he said sharply after a moment. "Pay no attention to me!" He dropped to the sand and watched the dragons play before looked back at Silute. "What else is going on that your younger ears have heard that mine have not?" He was at least, for Torath's sake, going to attempt being more social today. It wouldn't kill him he was sure. Well he hoped not anyway... No one has ever died from talking to someone..., came an amused comment. He grunted and ignored him, after which he heard a deep grunting sound carry across the water, which meant of course that he was being laughed at.

Silute smiled " Teegarth will be just fine. He doesn't get scared easily though he does get upset when the others tease him about being a runt of a blue. But sometimes i guess being small  could actually have advantages. He can move more gracefully like the greens and it might help him in catching them in the end sometimes. We might never know will we. "

Yes I suppose it could have advantages.  And I will tell you if there anyone picking that i cannot handle I promise. Teegarth promised quietly. He enjoyed swimming in the water and splashed a little at Torath playfully.  He wanted to swim and play in the water. He always enjoyed it and  his smaller size made  it easier for him to glide threw the water easily.  So he guessed Silute was right about there being some advantages.  But did they wash away the disavantages he didn't know yet.

Silute chuckled at Teegarths antics in the water. " Its a good thing he likes the  water course he looks right at home sometimes in the water. Silute plopped down in the sand by  N'kal.  " I haven't heard many rumors running around recently. Since most of the talk lately has been surrounding the firelizards and egg hunting. No ones had time to gossip about anything else i'm afraid. " Silute replied quietly.

N'kal nodded slightly, arms crossed loosly against his chest. "That's good to know that he does not scare easily." He actually gave a bit of a smile when Silute gave reasons being small was a good thing. "Exactly the right way to look at it. Sure he is small but he is fast and agile. Those are good qualities for any dragon. Figure out his strengths and run with it...or fly I suppose." That would make much more sense..we are not whers..we do NOT run, Torath snorted at him softly. He gave Torath a look and said, "Don't you snort at me mister! I corrected myself." He was terribly amused with the bronze's response, considering how Torath felt about the little beats.

Torath rumbled and gave the little blue a bit of a nuzzle. Alright. I am sure one day they will stop, you just need to show them you have had enough. And I will gladly help. He snorted softly and flicked his tail slightly in the water, gave a bugle when he was splashed. He dipped his muzzle in the water, sucked in a mouthful of water, then lifted his head, water dripping everywhere and made a display of spraying said mouthful of water all around Teegarth. He then gave a croon and made several waves around Teegarth as he dropped beneath the water, diving down, rolling around under the water smoothly before resurfacing a ways away with a roar and spray of water.

N'kal had to give a bit of a laugh at Torath's antics as well as Teegarths. When Silute spoke he gave another chuckle and nodded. "I would say so. If you ever loose track of him, I'd have to say check the water first, he could easily hide there for hours and no one would know!" He listened as Silute answered him then gave a shrug. "Blasted little beasts...I suppose if they are reappearing it means they are healthy again..but the one thing in all of Pern that scares me...is losing that great bronze beast. I can't bring myself to trust that the firelizards aren't still sick."

Silute watched Teegarth play in the water with the big bronze Torath.  He was happy that Teegarth was very playful and that their personalities tended to mess well.  Though Silute was a social and caring young man he was also pretty shy when he didn't know people. He noticed that lately his advances of flirting had been very unsuccessful so he had stopped trying.

He wondered if Teegarth would soon pick a green to start chasing he was surprised the blue hadn't even started checking them out. He sure wasn't holding back for Silute's sake. Cause Silute could be a little horny at any given moment and he didn't mind sleeping around at all.

Silute chucked. " Yes, Sir  Teegarth is defiantly my little water baby. Hey no calling me little  teegarth swung his head over to look at Silute for saying the offensive word.  Silute just chuckled softly Sorry Teegarth "correction Teegarth is my big water baby. " Silute grinned  " course that doesn't have the same ring to it.
