L’gan sank down onto the floor next to Narinoa with a weary sigh, wiping his hands off with a damp cloth and handing it over. “I’m sure we can. I’m not exactly inclined to leave their side tonight either,” he admitted.
He took on the distracted appearance of someone conversing with their dragon, then added, “Semath reports that the Hatching went smoothly, thank Faranth. And someone will be up with some bedding and light food shortly.” Smiling tiredly he added, “plus some changes of clothes. If I look half as terrible as you do, I’d just scare the wits out of poor B’kit and Erebuth,” he teased.
The poor blue looked ragged, but he had fallen into an agitated sleep finally. They would have to reapply numbweed soon, and probably change the bandages, but it looked like the supports would work well for holding the wing together. L’gan was concerned about mobility, but everything was second to making sure the pair survived. The greenrider reached over and squeezed Narinoa’s hand. “We did our best. Now we just have to see what tomorrow brings.”
