“August,” R’vi tried the name out and decided he liked it, “it brings to mind heat and passion. I believe it suits you well.” While it was another silver-tongued line to help get her into his bed, it was said with sincerity though he knew some would argue that was just his very existence coming into play and he was sincerely trying to win her over. But he could give out a compliment without seeking reward! Sometimes.
“And don’t encourage him or you might have to put up with him as well,” he grinned as Vydoriath pointed out she’d likely be a better mate. “And Vydoriath passes along his greetings and hopes to meet you in person soon.” R’vi hoped as well since that meant they’d be leaving together. You never stop. At this point, I’m numb to it but sometimes still find it entertaining.
As the song came to an end, R’vi was about to make his next play but the harpers moved right into the next song and the grin stayed in place as he adjusted course. “What do you say, August? One more vertical dance before trying out horizontal?” He felt he was proving himself a capable dancer and giving her a good time on the dance floor—he’d even made her laugh! Besides, he may not have been the smartest bluerider, but he was the epitome of the bluerider stereotype and knew when a partner was enjoying themselves and wanted more.
