“Oh. Okay,” R’dal frowned and stopped holding the cupcake out. He’d eat it, no problem there, but something didn’t feel quite right, even with the offer to still eat a cookie. F’drel was usually withdrawn and not that interested in participating if he could avoid it, but he’d still try to be nice to his friends and eat food if it made them happy—as long as he knew where it came from. R’dal was pretty sure his friend would avoid anything that came in the hands of Casa after that beach party.
He continued to study F’drel a bit longer as he started eating the super amazing cupcake. Definitely a C’dhin creation! “We can share a cookie if you want. No need to push yourself if you’re not feeling up to eating.” Maybe he was just feeling a bit under the weather but R’dal worried that F’drel was, well, worried. Did something happen with his sisters? No, F’drel wouldn’t be here if that was the case, or at least not quite as calm. Still, something was off.
Finishing up the cupcake, R’dal grabbed a cup of water and a cookie and then nudged F’drel to follow him over to a vacant chair. He left it open for the greenrider to take while he sat himself down on the floor beside it. The cookie was split in half and R’dal once again tried offering food to F’drel, though he wasn’t surprised when it was accepted since it had already been established as the compromise for not partaking in more and having fun.
“So, did I miss any surprises or big-time drama?” R’dal asked around a mouthful of cookie. Given the people in the room, he didn’t think there’d be much drama. He saw Cazelarias trying to blend into the wall and he figured that would be the only source of real drama. The poor guy was taking his sister’s Impression hard, even a month later. R’dal supposed he would as well in that situation.
“Is that Mylorah’s lordling!” R’dal almost choked on his cookie from excitement when he saw the handsome lord sitting with T’ryn. He’d seen the man from afar at the last two Hatchings Mylorah had Stood at but he’d never had a chance to properly meet him. He’d have to do that tonight!
