Nerreh lost the last shred of mental functioning she had at Casa touching her, and any response she may have been forming to Casa’s last statement fizzled into nothing, as Nerreh’s breath caught in her throat and she blinked dumbly at the goldrider. Oh. Okay. Maybe Casa was a little interested. Cool.
And then Casa’s next statement sent Nerreh’s thoughts whirring back into action. Wouldn’t that be something, if she could just be a boy now, like Faxxonth? No one would believe it, no chance. People could probably accept a dragon being mistaken for a different color for under a turn, but no one would accept the same for a human, especially considering Nerreh was almost nineteen. No fucking way. But wouldn’t that be nice. Nerreh would love if the world let her be a boy for real, not just people who didn’t know her and thought she looked boyish. It would never happen, but Nerreh loved the idea and would have to think more on it later. Because Casa was giving Nerreh a look, as if she was just waiting to see what Nerreh did next, and Nerreh didn’t want to disappoint her.
Emboldened by the idea people might wonder if she were a boy, Nerreh rested a hand on top of Casa’s on her hip for a brief moment before suddenly moving, taking Casa’s hand with her and pinned it to the bed. In the same motion, Nerreh rolled to loom over Casa, knees on either side of the goldrider’s hips.
“We’ll just have to keep them guessing,” Nerreh smirked, taking a moment just to openly look at Casa. To Nerreh’s delight, she seemed to be into the new development, and Nerreh carefully shifted so that she had better balance while still keeping a firm hold on Casa’s wrist. Satisfied he wasn’t going to fall on Casa accidentally, Nerreh leaned forward to start kissing and nipping along Casa’s jawline, eager to see how this might turn out.
