Mulrissa smiled as T’ryn thanked her, dipping her head slightly to him. “And you were a perfect gentleman, which I greatly appreciate.” She’d heard plenty of post-Flight stories over the turns, and ‘short polite conversation before going their separate ways’ was probably one of the best. Other than perhaps ‘end up with someone you really like and continue to have amazing sex,’ but since there was no one Rissa was particularly invested in, the outcome she got was almost ideal (Though T’ryn was still a bit uncomfortably young in her eyes).
She quickly checked in on Bedith again, who was still sleeping contently, though she stirred questioningly at Rissa’s mental touch. Reassuring her dragon that everything was fin, Rissa explained that Syrendryth would probably be staying the rest of the night. Bedith hummed approvingly and shifted her bulk closer to the bronze, simultaneously leaning into him affectionately and blocking his access to the weyr entrance. He’s not leaving until I allow him to. She said, mindvoice thick with drowsiness. Mulrissa smiled, amused at how possessive Bedith was being. Chances were very good Bedith would be bored with him by noon the next day and wonder why he had to have anything to do with her Hatching.
“I hope you have a good rest of the night, T’ryn.” Mulrissa called after him as he left her weyr. Once the door had clicked into place, she sighed deeply and closed her eyes for a moment, letting herself drop all defenses before looking tiredly around the room. It seemed a few things had gotten knocked over in the mayhem of the Flight. The chair she was pretty sure had been pushed over when Bedith— she had pushed a brownrider off her and careening into the chair. Whoops. However, nothing seemed broken or immediately important, so Mulrissa decided she’d deal with it after some sleep. Though maybe a bath first would be a good idea, she decided, throwing off the blanket and heading for the bath. An excellent perk of being a goldrider, having a very large dragon, and having children was that Rissa had been allowed to claim a very nice, large weyr that had a private bathroom that she was planning on fully taking advantage of right now before curling up in her bed for as long as she could get away with.
