Madiquel pouted when the only answer she got from R’dare was a look that told her she wouldn’t get anything out of the bluerider anytime soon. It didn’t dispel her excitement about going for a ride on the dragon, however, and she smiled thankfully when he handed her his jacket. It was much too big for her, but she wasn’t swimming so terribly in it that it made it impractical for a short ride. Tugging the sleeves back to her elbow for a moment, Madiquel reached up to quickly braid her long hair away from her face. Her hair was wavy enough that the braid stayed put, even without her having a leather strip on hand to tie it off with.
“I’m not the one that’ll whine like a baby if I get sick,” she teased back, poking R’dare in the ribs as she watched Kadisicalth excitedly; she couldn’t wait to be safely strapped up on the dragon. She loved to fly and she loved the freedom that flight brought with it. She was practically bouncing on her toes even as she folded the sleeves back and did it up, revealing her hands so she could scramble up Kadisicalth’s rich blue side, and settle herself carefully in her usual spot. She did some of the straps herself, but knew from experience that R’dare would only go over them to make sure she did it properly. It was easy, as a result, to just let him do the straps so he could content himself that she wasn’t going to fall off. Madiquel shook her head to herself, and resisted rolling her eyes as he did exactly that.
Madiquel bounced excitedly in her seat, every inch an excited child, as Clover twirled around their heads and then took off, leading towards the sky above. “Let’s go!” she cried, clicking her heels playfully against the sides of Kadisicalth’s neck. Her fingers clung to the straps in front of her, and she could feel R’dare’s arms warm and secure holding her in place. “To the skies!”
