Second Sun [Non-Riders Only] - Lymsleia - 26.Jan.12

Lymsleia worked diligently pouring over notes and bits of information left behind by other healers and workers in the Crafting Hall of Katila Weyr. She turned over the bits of  bits of  information on the plants of the southern hemisphere. "Finally." She said leaning back against the chair. The sound of those learning to sing and make music wafted through the air.

The scrapping of hides grating her nerves the way a shredder grates cheese. She rubbed her temples, the sound of wings. Her heart pounded. Wait that didn't make any sense. Someone yelled and pointed towards the windows. Lymsleia got up slowed and walked  to the windows just in time to see a second sun rise into the sky. Second sun, there was only  one- no the other thing was the Gold. The Queen, for a long moment Lymsleia stood transfixed. She'd only seen greens- fly and wheel and dive, but this creature. This thing who apparently now-according to legends, and lore- held the fate of an entire race- no two races, both humans and dragons, in her wings.

Lymsleia leaned against the wall, slow breaths.

Re: Second Sun [Non-Riders Only] - Volfetti - 26.Jan.12

It was grudgingly that Volfetti was headed over to the Craft Hall. The fact that she had to trek all over the place to gather numbweed while on the brink of her third trimester made her fume. Whoever was assigning the wings was clearly inebriated. Fortunately, a cheerful Bluerider that was also assigned to the unsavoury task of numbweed collection had been flying her back and forth during the process. Now however, said Bluerider had disappeared and that left Volfetti walking from her hut over to the Healer Hall. Having been told she wasn't needed on collection duty today, she had decided that she would relax in the Craft Hall and mend some of the fishing gear.

Stepping through the main entrance she paused, something wasn't right. Nearby she caught sight of a woman who seemed quite flustered, perhaps the heat? Even so, others were working slowly, eyes flicking about hastily. An ear-piercing scream tore through the building, all work forgotten as powerful emotions pulsed through the weyrfolk. Volfetti frowned, the feelings were like that of a Green flight… But these weren't the same. Walking over to the windows she peered out, was that a flicker of gold? Hunger and lust pooled in her belly, her unborn baby kicking and struggling alongside it.

Fly with me.

The words pounded into Volfetti's head. Startled she glanced around wildly, wondering who would have spoken such a thing here. Still puzzled she turned to look outside again, seeing the flash of gold again, molten and burning as it rose into the clear skies. A sun? No, wings flared wide to either side and Volfetti finally twigged what was occurring.

"Oh no you don't!" She growled to herself, trying to summon up the resistance she used in the Green flights to isolate herself. But it was to no avail, Nirinath's lust was projecting into every bone of her body, no doubt like everyone else standing nearby.

Re: Second Sun [Non-Riders Only] - Lymsleia - 26.Jan.12

Lymsleia fixed her eyes on the second star the sky. The hope for all the weyr, no for all of Pern.

She'd only felt the flicker of flames a green flight could bring, but had simple lain in bed and let the feelings wash over her. She'd reveled and startled in the first time a green had gone up near by. But this was in a whole  other class. She couldn't tell up from down and  worse yet was the bonfire this Flight lit. A green flight she'd been able to allow herself to slide into the  ebb and flow, and not get tangled. This was all consuming. She closed her eyes, willing herself to separate herself from the foreign emotions that now racked her brain.

It felt - good- though. The inevitability of it all. she'd never let herself feel  this sort of driving lust at the  Healer Hall up North. It was work all the time and now, as she stood there, letting the emotions of the gold run wild over her, Lymsleia  reveled in perhaps what'd she'd been missing. Maybe romance wasn't so bad... It had to be better than /this/.

She looked around, what males were there to chase? Any here in the crafthall that she could sink herself  into chasing? She walked slowly, trying to keep the  burning thoughts out of her step as the the Gold's call  tried to touch every part of her being.

Fly with me.
