742.09.23 | In the Morning Light - N'noa - 23.Sep.21 N'noa sat heavily on the ground in the Lower Bowl, heaved a sigh, and then flopped onto his back with little care about debris in his hair or on his clothing. What did it matter? The weyrlinghood life was messy, though not nearly as much now as the early weeks. Still, dirt and grass was far better than meat and blood. It was a good thing he wasn't prone to queasiness with how much he saw regularly when the dragonets fed and when he was asked to patch up a classmate's dragon. That was the true cause of his constant exhaustion. Taking care of his own dragon was work enough but several others were little daredevils constantly on the move and getting into trouble that required some patching up. He even reset a wing a month ago. But that was what he signed up for when he decided to dedicate himself to becoming a dragonhealer and he certainly wasn't going to sit by and watch one suffer while one of the healers not raising a baby dragon came running over. Not that Atranth would let him ignore someone suffering. His little dude was compassionate and seemed to understand right away that helping others was important to N'noa and encouraged it. He loved his dragon. Usually. Atranth was also starting to love sunrises and while they couldn't see the best part of them from within the Bowl, Atranth still sometimes liked to rise with the sun and enjoy the change of colours and dark to light. Hence why N'noa was flopped on the ground. |
