740.12.12 | Then You Do It - Kor'is - 14.Dec.19

For the Secret Santa event: I don't think it's supposed to look like that / do it yourself if you're such an expert

He was fairly confident he could blame his mother for Ameris asking him to tag along to Benden to lend a hand and his critical eye for setting up the leadership’s offices and even their personal weyr. It just seemed very Alcynnia-like to make sure her son wasn’t lazing around all day and was actually being a productive member of society. Kordiavis assumed he had been avoiding her and the public at large too much and this was her payback, though he didn’t ask Ameris for confirmation.

He surprisingly only agreed, not giving the Weyrwoman any sass or listing all the reasons why he didn’t want to do it. She clearly caught him too soon after waking to properly think straight and his poor brain decided agreeing was the path of least resistance. Now, several hours later, he was playing interior decorator for a couple he barely knew and only knew their tastes based on the pile of furniture and decorations he was standing by.

Not much had really been done in the offices since one could only do so much with the staple pieces of desk, chairs, and shelves. But their personal weyr was another matter. Why were they even entrusting him with the task instead of making it their home by setting it up how they wanted? Probably because they were setting up an entire Weyr the way they wanted and didn’t have time to think about the throw rug.

Not actually having any idea with how to start, Kordiavis shoved the larger pieces of furniture together in the centre of the room and then tossed some of the furs over them to get them out of the way so he wouldn’t trip when he paced back and forth with various objects. He smirked as he noticed the little fort it created and wondered if he could get away with calling that the finished product, saying he had their young kids in mind. Probably not but that’s how it would stay for the moment as he focused on the eating area and dragging the table over to what he decided might be a decent spot for the time being.

RE: 740.12.12 | Then You Do It - A'dis - 15.Dec.19

Ameris had enlisted as much help as she could getting Benden ready and her brother was not free from that demand. A'dis was currently in said weyr, helping clear out the tunnelsnakes and wild creatures that had made it home. Most of it was disgusting work and he wanted nothing more than to be at home with Vess cuddling in his big warm bed. And by cuddling he meant making love. He hadn't been able to get enough of the greenrider since the moment he'd dragged her down when Obaranth had chased what felt like turns ago. The redhead was a delight and he was beginning to have strong feelings for her. He should probably take Mylo's advice and tell her but the bronzerider hadn't' done so yet.

As it were, Obaranth was just as put out that he was in Benden and not at home with Tiath and the bronze had made no bones in letting him know. When the final carton of shit was taken out and dumped, A'dis decided to call it a day. I'm gonna explore a minute, he sent to Obaranth where the dragon sunned himself in the last of Rukbat's rays, Find out where Ameris' weyr will be and then we'll go. Alllllright, the bronze huffed as A'dis went searching, a laughing grin on his usually serious face. He was having far too much fun messing with Obaranth lately and the bronze hated it.

Not that it would make A'dis stop any time soon. Steps were confident and self-assured as he searched around the weyr before coming to the one that had to be Ameris' and heard shuffling and scuffs inside. Was his sister here? He swore she said she still had business in Ista to complete that day and wouldn't be making it out to Benden until the following morning. Weird, A'dis thought and shoved into the room and found Kordiavis shoving furniture around the space. "Why are you in here?" A'dis asked with his brows furrowed. Why would Kordi be moving Ameris' furniture around? "You can't leave that like that," he continued with a quiet imperious air. Sometimes being a bronzerider did go to his head, no matter how humble he generally was.

"She's gonna get pissed," he went on and stepped inside.

RE: 740.12.12 | Then You Do It - Kor'is - 16.Dec.19

Kordiavis paused in what he was doing and sighed at the voice doing its best to give orders and turned around, barely containing the eye roll that A'dis deserved. He didn't know the bronzerider well, but Mylorah liked to get all of her friends to play well together so they'd spent a little time together, mostly in passing. Honestly, he couldn't recall much about A'dis other than he was Ameris' sister--which explained why he was there--and Kordiavis was pretty sure he was also the one dating the whiny female greenrider.

He really didn't have the energy to waste on an uppity bronzerider that had no clue as to what was going on. He had been raised around lords and their games so naturally he picked up a few mannerisms and tactics which meant, if A'dis wanted to be a bronzerider that day, then Kordiavis would have to be a lord. He stood a bit straighter--which didn't do much more than feel good since he was still shorter than A'dis--and crossed his arms over his chest while giving A'dis a lingering once over, as if judging his worth.

"If she didn't want me touching her crap then maybe she shouldn't have asked me to decorate her damned weyr." He stepped around the chair he had been dragging into a new place and sat down, crossing his legs and giving an almost dismissive wave of a hand to the area around him. "But if you're such an expert on your sister and her tastes, then please, be my guest and finish the task for me."
