740.12.01 | Curiously Unattracted - Kor'is - 01.Dec.19

When Kordiavis wanted to get away from everyone, his preferred spot was the plateau under one of the few random trees that had managed to take root once upon a time. Sure, it wasn’t exactly private and he knew for certain several others liked to get away up there as well but it was far less occupied than the Weyr itself and Kordiavis found most people didn’t make the trip.

So he was out there, under his tree, with paper and charcoal, working on the latest abstract creation that had crossed his mind. Or nightmare rather. He wasn’t prone to nightmares but since Thallyath’s clutch, he was starting to think those cursed eggs had opened up a doorway in his mind and let the dark images flow free. He supposed that made sense given the shit he had dealt with all his life. At least now he had more of an outlet since he no longer had to hide his creative endeavours or destroy them before they hurt his mother’s feelings or revealed too much about his own. Sometimes he hated Mylorah and how persuasive she could be.

Given Tazikel was back in his life now, opening up yet another door he had thought slammed firmly shut on repressed feelings and crushes, and the way Mylorah seemed so infatuated with the lordling, Kordiavis had a whole new set of headaches to deal with as well. Two beautiful people that were constantly all over each other and Mylorah sometimes teasing how she wanted them both. At the same time. His brain usually shutdown, unable to come up with his usual witty retorts so she was given an eye roll. Sure, he was down for the idea and not just because of Mylorah but he doubted Tazikel would feel the same way, even if they were both lavishing attention on the pretty girl requesting the party.

Tazikel was also just a horrible influence and hadn’t lost his touch when it came to dragging Kordiavis into whatever idea struck the easily distracted second son at any given time. He was tired and needed the day away from the world and bad decisions that led to hangovers—which he thankfully didn’t have that day. No, he only had charcoal-coated hands as the medium was messy to begin with but he was using his fingers as a blending tool that day.

Or he was trying to before someone stepped into his light, making it harder to see the detailing. He sighed, surprised he had been so caught up in his task that he hadn’t heard anyone approach and wondered how easily he could scare the interloper away.

“Get out of my light,” he ordered without looking up. He really didn’t care who it was. If it was one of his close friends, they would have announced themselves long before reaching him and they knew better than to mess with him when he was drawing or writing.

RE: 740.12.01 | Curiously Unattracted - Casa - 14.Dec.19

“Oh, don’t be such a baby,” Casa chirped, rolling her eyes dramatically as she stared down at Kordiavis, hands on her hips. She didn’t bother moving until he sighed and looked up at her, and she scrunched her lips up to blow him a kiss. Only then did Casa move, shifting aside and dropping down onto the ground beside him, pulling her short skirt down under her and curling her legs under herself. Winter it might have been, technically, but Casa still found the day more than warm enough to get around in her short dresses. Granted, this one had long sleeves, and she had long socks on that went over her knees, but her skirt still barely covered her arse.

Comfortably seated, more than likely too close for Kordiavis’ comfort, Casa rested her cheek on his shoulder for a few moments, looking down at what he’d been working on but not commenting on it. The only art Casa knew anything about was whatever Azrin had deemed worth of knowing about for his snotty parties. Not to say that Casa didn’t appreciate her talented and artistic friends. It was just that she wasn’t interested in the stuff, and she’d learned young that most of them didn’t like talking about it, anyway. Which was silly. If you liked something, and you were good at it, you should definitely flaunt it. Like her, with sex. Mmhm.

“So, why are you sulking today?” She asked cheerfully, sitting up a bit straighter so she could lift an eyebrow at him and watch his expression. Casa found Kordiavis was one of the harder ones to read, but not impossible. She just had to pay attention – which sometimes she just didn’t care to do. For now, she was curious. Depending on his answer (both verbal and physical) would determine if she chased that particular wherry or just ignored it and basked in the midday sun while also annoying him by merely breathing within his hearing. Casa beamed at him.

RE: 740.12.01 | Curiously Unattracted - Kor'is - 14.Dec.19

Of course it had to be Casa and of course she still couldn’t take a hint. Actually, he figured she could and just chose not to so she could have the upper hand. After a while of both observing her and listening to Mylorah and Sh’ran say Casa was smarter than she let on, Kordiavis was starting to believe it. He decided she was clever and devious but a ditzy whore still ranked fairly high on the list of character traits she possessed as well.

“Having to be near you brings it out in me,” he shot back, eyes back on his art after watching the girl settle in instead of leaving. At least she was out of his light. He wondered how long her attention span would last before she left to find a toy that wanted to be played with. Maybe two minutes. Five at most but Kordiavis wasn’t sure he could last that long if she wanted to continue with that cheerfulness she was pouring on thick for him.

“What do you want, Casa?” There had to be a reason for her to seek him out. Maybe it was coincidence that she found him on her own stroll away from the world but given she joined him, she had to want something. Knowing how much time she spent with Azrin made him a bit uneasy. He never trusted Azrin and his devil-may-care attitude and always felt like the High Reaches second son was the most dangerous in the room. Casa was currently giving off those same vibes and he wondered what lessons she was being taught. Mylorah insisted it was only history but Mylorah also wasn’t the best liar.
