Counting Ovines, One, Twins, Five - Sariel - 04.Nov.19

The twins were endlessly fascinated by L'gan's weyr and Sariel's hair was rating high on the list today as well. They were overeager, nearly bouncing in her arms as she swept Sarion and Lariel up for kisses and headed to his weyr. She had a few days off, finally, and embraced that with her usual enthusiasm.

The girls adored Semath and were at that stage where they'd take off in search for the green once Sariel let them down. She near envied their energy and sank herself on the nearest comfortable surface before closing her eyes. Sariel laughed when Lariel ran back toward her with her arms raised. Knowing Sarion, she was waiting patiently for her friend to arrive. She even knew how far back to be to allow the dragon to land and get comfortable.

Lariel wound up curled against Sariel's chest a half hour later with the both of them dozing off. Sarion would wait patiently, her eyes bright and watchful. She was all black-brown curls with a serious demeanour. Lariel was laughter and banter, forever pulling her twin into games designed to make her laugh. They were a lovely pair, each balancing something in the other.

Sariel found that wonderfully fascinating from a healer standpoint.

"Do you want to sleep, lovey?" she murmured to Lariel, "There's the cots..." But honestly, Sariel was content to stay where she was and her toddler was comfortable where she was. It was the weather had cooled with the evening sun.

It was perfect weather for a cuddle.

RE: Counting Ovines, One, Twins, Five - L'gan - 09.Nov.19

L’gan yawned as he finally closed his notebook for the day, standing and stretching. The weyrlings lessons were finally starting, a little later than usual, but it was a relief for everyone involved. He and Eb’zer had been kept busy checking that scrapes and mild strains didn’t turn into anything worse, especially with Zezeth. The green was all gangly limbs and enthusiastic mischief, and none of them could forget how she’d dislocated her hip last month, so everyone was urging caution while it continued to heal. None of them were quite ready to attempt flying yet, but they’d taken to swimming with delight even as the waters cooled somewhat with the turn of seasons. At least they were in Ista, instead of Fort- he swore there had been a whiff of early snow on the air when he left this morning.

He packed his things away and checked in one last time on his way out, heading back to Fort for a few days unless an emergency came up. Sariel had said she was bringing the twins over this time and he wanted as much time with them as he could steal. Lately it felt like he’d been neglecting all three recently with everything going on.

Semath landed neatly and crooned a welcome to the twins as L’gan quickly removed her harness and hung it up. He smiled as Sarion ignored him for his dragon. The green’s eyes whiled with amusement as she settled down to be petted and adored. “Hello darlings,” he greeted them all, slipping into the other room and kissing Lariel’s head and Sariel’s cheek. “Comfortable?” He settled into another chair and opened his arms for Sarion when she wanted cuddles as well, finally leaving Semath’s side.

"Mm," she hummed, smiling a moment later at L'gan. Sarion, when suitably finished adoring the green (as was proper), took a dash toward her father and fairly bounced into his arms for a cuddle. She was definitely her father's girl, even when she was even smaller. Sarion had always calmed for him, far better than for Sariel.

"Quite comfortable, love," she said, her voice softly gravelled. Lariel smiled sleepily at her father, mumbling sweetly in his direction. She was quite settled since her sister had found her da's lap. If her sister was happy, then she was. Faranth knew they were as loud as a squall when they had complaints. Sariel rolled her shoulders and neck to relieve aching muscles.

"It's such a pleasure to finally get the time to come here," she murmured. "Not to mention the time with our lovely ladies - Semath included." She'd say her hellos to the green in time. L'gan was here and staying put, as was his dragon, so...plenty of time for greetings.
