Background Story:
670 AL, Birth: Tawna was born to Parent A and Parent B
680 AL & 11: A family trip to the local Hold finds disaster when a horse spooks, bolting down the main street and trampling Tawna; the girl ends up with both legs broken in different spots. The man who was on the runner was forced to pay compensation to the family, more for the loss of the child's assistance than for her loss of value as a future wife.

Returning home, the child is restricted to a chair that keeps her legs both raised and straight. At some point whilst so trapped, Tawna found herself the assistant of the local weaver, an elderly woman who was well past retired that simply did her part to remain housed and fed in the small community. Tawna was less than enthusiastic about being used as an assistant. Her inability to run away made her perfect for the elderly woman who loved to babble, and smelled bad.
