Chasing Stars [V'ler] - A'liran - 03.Feb.14

This'll be a good one, right Ast? A'liran inquired sarcastically.  His voice was filled with plucky arrogance and a hint of impatience, which Astoreth returned with her own brand of venom. They always are. Don't think so little of me, and don;t think that you can fool me with your act she scolded, mindvoice simmering with disdain. She sounded distracted.

Ali snorted, crossing his arms and narrowing his eyes as he gazed out the window and into the darkness. He could sense her frustration seething inside him. Her anger had mixed so completely with his own that he wasn't really sure who the bad mood originated with. All he knew was that she was due, and the tingling in his blood indicated that she was due soon.

Always, huh? Don't give yourself too much credit. You land me in trouble more often than not, and I swear by the egg that I'll make you into a wallet if y-

Her sudden screech caught him off guard. It exploded in his mind, as loud and jarring as if she'd screamed right beside him. He clutched at his ears. "Fuck! You stupid bitch!" he snarled, pacing with agitation and continuing to paw at his ears. He felt so close to her - almost one with her - and the echo of the screech just kept ringing in his head! He stumbled a little, trying to come up with some sort of witty line to spit as his dragon as she lurched into the air, yanking his confused consciousness after her as if he were tethered by some sort of invisible cord.

His self-satisfied mood vanished in a whirl of tinnitus and vertigo. They were flying! They were flying, and just like normal, the green harpy had gotten in the last word and caught him completely off guard. Eben when Ali recognized the signs and managed to steel himself for the oncoming flight, she still seemed to always manage to sneak attack him.

As Astoreth's dark form disappeared in the night sky, Ali could feel himself whisked away to the stars alongside her. Astoreth crooned, welcoming Ali alongside her as a fellow warrior. While they appeared at odds on the ground, both of them loved this part. They loved flying free together, wild and coveted. Ali could almost feel the night air caressing his skin. He was light, swift, and vicious. He thought he could smell a trace of blood on the wind. He [i]knew[i[ he could smell a hint of fear. It was perfect! He let out his own scream of frustration and challenge, barely able to contain his energy.

Let them come! He would defend himself, and it would be glorious!

Re: Chasing Stars [V'ler] - V'ler - 04.Feb.14

Some evenings when the sky was clear and the weather wasn’t too hot or too cold, V’ler liked to spend time out under the stars. Sometimes it was simply to stare up at the stars and let his creative mind wander where it wanted and other times it was to sit by a glow stone and work on lyrics or strum his guitar lightly. That was actually how I’shan managed to snag him and bring him to Katila. His habit of sitting under trees with pen and paper or his guitar had given him a whole new world to learn and play in. Most people would have given up on that habit since it would have been viewed as bad luck, but V’ler enjoyed it all the more since everything seemed different yet familiar at the same time. Even he had secret moments of missing the old life and it was comforting.

Oooh, Veeth purred his excitement as he got to his feet and gave a stretch that reminded V’ler of a feline. A brow arched at the noise his dragon made but he didn’t question it any further when he saw Veeth look up to the sky, searching. He sighed and quickly pushed his guitar just inside the door of his tent. “Will you ever give me a break?” His tone was annoyed but V’ler was used to his dragon’s ways and was thankful this apparent nighttime romp came on an evening he hadn’t ventured too far away from the tent. Leaving his guitar unattended in some random location didn’t sit well with the bluerider that would forever be a Harper as much as a dragonrider.

But we have so much fun! I don’t think we’ve chased her yet either. She’ll like us joining in. V’ler wrinkled his nose even as the lust started to bleed over to him, skewering his desire to be annoyed at the little blue reminding him of something D’hys had said to him months before. The smug bluerider had successfully pinned him down as growing to enjoy flights and landing in bed with a mystery person time and time again. It wasn’t so much that he looked forward to it, which he had snapped at D’hys, but he couldn’t deny that the physical interactions were nice.

Veeth gave a call of challenge when he saw the green shoot into the sky and was hot on her heels to join the chase. “Veeth! You didn’t tell me who it is,” they were still working on negotiations over who they could chase and how often they would enter flights but part of the deal was that he got to know beforehand who they might win. B’jin’s list of greenriders to avoid had been taken seriously and so far, he hadn’t ended up with extra bruises; except when D’hys or Z’ia were involved and they dragged him into interesting things in the loser haze. That was something else he was still working on getting control of.

Astoreth. She’s as pretty as she is feisty. V’ler frowned as he tried to think through the lust beginning to cloud his mind as he got to his feet. He groaned a moment later when the green was paired up to her rider, A’liran. He was at the top of the list right below J’ver. It was too late to call Veeth off the chase now, though, as the blue was invested in showing his affection to the dragon he had never interacted with before.

Astoreth, love, you chose a beautiful night for us to fly under, his voice as smooth and musical as always, belying the effort and determination Veeth put into chasing the green minx. He was possibly one of the sweetest blues around but the desire to impress all the ladies and win was strong and it made for a fiercely dedicated competitor.

Having discovered it didn’t disorientate him nearly as much as when he fought for control, V’ler closed his eyes and breathed out slowly as he let his mind merge with Veeth’s, giving into the lust and chase. Given who he was possibly about to be snuggled up to, it was probably best to be of one mind with Veeth so they could handle the green pair. With that, Veeth wove through the sky after Astoreth as V’ler searched out A’liran, now fully on board with the idea of being with the greenrider he only knew by reputation.

Re: Chasing Stars [V'ler] - A'liran - 12.Feb.14

They're coming! Astoreth screamed. Their blood boiled with excitement as he angled herself towards her pursuers, eyeing them with fiery glee. She folded her wings to her body and angled herself towards them, slicing though the night wind like an arrow. She planned to turn from them at the last moment, taunting them while her slender body fluttered from their grasp. What were they other than big, cumbersome males? They would never capture her! Their brawn could not match her elegant beauty!

Her arrogance fueled A'liran's rage. He paced and shouted, his body trembling with anticipation. Why hadn't they found him yet?  He wanted to watch them paw and beg for him! He had no plans to answer their calls, of course. He was far too good for them! He was above their petty weakness! He and  Astoreth were far too great a prize for any of them to deserve, but watching them beg would be gratifying just the same!

Astoreth shrieked again as he closed in on the males, folding one wing and darting hastily to the side, delighting in how they mirrored her movements. He could hear Ali's ranting, she could feel his need and outrage...How perfect! She purred in delight as she prepared to angle herself away, anticipating just how frustrated they would be when she dashed away from their grasp. She crooned to them soothingly, as if she'd experienced a change of heart and wished to feel their embrace. What a cunning plan! Down below, Ali grinned as well, turning towards the door and holding his arms out for whoever would come through, seeking to claim him...Oh, how they would learn!

The greenrider closed his eyes and watched through Astoreth's, eager to spring the trap. His idyllic plans shattered suddenly when another screech rocked his brain. He groaned and buckled, colliding unexpectedly with some figure who'd entered his room undetected thanks to his sheer shock. Ast was screaming with fury...something was grasping her? Someone had her! She'd been caught?! How?!

Ali deadweighted, sending himself down to the floor. He scrambled, fighting both his flightwinner and his own ad desires. How could this be? They weren't ready! That whore must have gotten herself snatched! You cut too close, you damn tease! One of them grabbed us while you were...gloating! he bellowed. A string of curses escaped him as he turned on his flight winner, unsure if he was about to beat the poor man or fuck him senseless.
