Hello loves! While I haven't been writing, I have been working on updating some issues that have been hanging around on the layout! The Character change box is now at the bottom of the page, beside the up/down arrows! Green and Gold dragon flight dates have been shifted to the bottom of the page, where the (useless!) discord widget was located. Where the dragon flights were in the header, is now replaced by a Monthly Event box! This will be updated at the start of each month, with a fun mini-event you can take part in, if you want to! Batenkel is very careful about his appearance. Not because he's vain, but because he understands how important appearance is for the Lord Holder's Heir. If a hair is out of place it is either intentional in order to put forth a certain impression, or he's really frazzled. General Dressing Style:
He's the heir to Lord Tillek, and he's very careful to dress like it. Very fine clothes, though Batenkel isn't as ostentatious as many lordlings.

Batenkel is a very formal, stick up his ass, sort of person. He's not intentionally unkind for the most part, he just holds himself to a very rigid set of standards and tends to appear disapproving of people not meeting his standards. At least some of the perceived disapproval is a result of him wishing he could break the rules too, mixed with his chronic bitch face. He's surprisingly good with kids, though he's overall neutral about them. Batenkel takes being a father especially seriously, and while he may be awkward about it a lot of the time he tries very hard and Ithikel adores his father (much to Batenkel's brother Tazikel's surprise, though Tazikel easily holds the title of favorite uncle).

Important History:
715 AL & Birth: Born the first child and, more importantly, the first son of Lord Barenkel and Lady Tamzarra of Tillek.717 AL & 2 Turns: First sibling, Tazikel, is born.
718 AL & 3 Turns: Second sibling, Tarren, born.
720 AL & 5 Turns: Batenkel and Tazikel are well established as the best of friends and brothers by this point, they do just about everything together. Tarren is still a bit small for playing with them as much, and was sick a lot in his first few years, so Batenkel and Tazikel weren't as close with him.
731 AL & 16 Turns: His relationship with his younger brother Tazikel starts changing. Batenkel is facing increased expectations from their parents, and finds himself with less time to play with his younger siblings. Tazikel, who once was Batenkel's best friend, takes his lack of free time extremely personally and their relationship suffers.
739 AL & 24 Turns: Batenkel marries Itherida of Nabol at the end of the turn. They are perfectly polite to each other. His relationship with Tazikel also gets worse.
741 AL & 26 Turns: Ithikel, his first child, is born. He is (to some surprise) a better father than he is a husband, and takes raising a child just as seriously as he takes any other task.
742 AL & 27 Turns: Gets into a sort of passive disagreement with his father over something boring about the running of a Hold. Lord Tillek starts making comments about making sure Tazikel gets more training as the spare heir, suggesting that he'll replace Batenkel. At no point does Batenkel think he's actually in danger of being replaced—their father is too indulgent when it comes to his favorite son, and doesn't want to saddle Tazikel with the responsibilities he clearly has no interest in. In some ways, Batenkel would love to be free of the Lord Holder responsibilities, but also its irksome to even consider that Tazikel could in any way replace him.
743 AL & 28 Turns: Brother Tazikel Impresses at Telgar, and Batenkel has a lot of emotions about it. Talk of replacing him with Tazikel had mostly tapered off by this point, but it completely ceased afterwards.
