Benden is hit with a heavy heatwave in the last week of Month Six, and first week of Month Seven, which carries through to the end of the month. Their weather will begin to cool in the last week of the month, dropping to the low 30s.

Ista Isle is amused by the weaklings of Benden, but at least their heat is dry. Benden is muggy and riddled with heavy thunderstorms and downpours.

Ista is heating up swiftly, and preparing for a rough summer - hopefully nothing like the one from a couple turns before with the wildfires! The rest of Northern Pern is warming upsomewhat slower, but with no less gusto as summer begins to creep into the sky, keeping the sun awake longer, warming the ledges of the weyrs. Rainstorms are sporadic, but keep the world well watered, despite the heat of the days.

The Red Star can be seen by those who choose to see it, causing no shortage of whispers that Thread will return - and just as much dismissal from those who do not believe. After all, it's been so long, surely it is no longer a threat! Weyrleaders are, regardless, beginning to put together wings in their Weyrs, if only to keep troublesome and bored riders busy.

Month 12, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Winter -3 - 2 C | 26 - 35 F
Fort is already home to snowfalls, though early in the month they fade away when the sun rises. As the month progresses, more snow stays on the ground, ending up with several feet of snow before the month is over. The areas around homes and populations has the snow shoveled away or trodden down. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove some danger and are routinely removed.

Ista Boundaries:
Winter, 9 - 21 C | 48 - 69 F
Generally warm enough to go about without a jacket on, Ista has low humidity but high chance of rain, generally in the form of vicious afternoon thunderstorms. The storms wash away any bite of heat the day had, and leave it feeling fresh for the night. The days are short, but grow bright quickly and the afternoons seem to be particularly short when heavy thunderstorms roll in and cover the sky.

Telgar Boundaries:
Winter, -5 - 0 C | 23 - 32 F
Bitterly cold, with icy winds constantly flowing down from the mountains. Freezing rain is almost constant; the sky always a murky grey and the ground slippery with slushy refrozen ice. The days are extremely short, with the nights dropping a good number below the daily average. Icicles attached to Weyr ledges prove a major danger, and are checked upon every day, with anything bigger than a fist being removed.

Month 07, 740 AL

Fort Boundaries:
Summer 27 - 38 C | 80 - 100 F
Light breezes down from the mountains tot he North keep the temperature comfortable, even when the sun can bake an egg on the edge of a weyr. Sunburn is common.

Ista Boundaries:
Summer, 34 - 43 C | 93 - 110 F
A very dry, dusty heat. Little to no rain, causing more than some to worry about the drought not breaking and the rest of the Isle being at risk of fires. Many seek the depths of weyr, hold or hall during the midday and early afternoon heat.

Telgar Boundaries:
Summer, 26 - 35 C | 79 - 95 F
Muggy, sticky and generally just plain humid. Thunder storms are regular occurances, often happening in the early afternoon or evening, with heavy rainfall before drying off sometime in the night. Mornings are usually crisp, but warm up swiftly.

Month 04, 740 AL
North: Early Spring | South: Early Autumn
−1.9 C to 4.7 C | 20.0 C to 29.0

Spring has sprung, with the snow slowly melting in much of the North, creating mushy grounds and greyish, icy snow piles that are doing their best to melt. In comparison, Ista finds itself naturally warmer, (~10C / 50) and many people who can find rides are making their way to the Island to spend some time in warmth and sunshine, away from the lingering touch of winter.

Katila is beginning to cool down to more reasonable temperature, but is no less muggy and uncomfortable to those who are not used to the seasons. It is still a good place to escape to when seeking a warm day or a nice swim at the lake, though.

Winter has come slowly to the Northern lands of Pern, with more rain and cold winds than snow. As the month progresses, more and more snow will fall, with frequent blizzard-like storms towards the very end of the month. Telgar and Fort will in particular become burried under mountains of snow, while Ista is sunjected to frequent icy rainstorms, and heavy winds coming in from across the ocean.

Following the disastrous fires (sometime in around the 28th of Month 08), Ista Isle has found itself suddenly in the midst of constant rain; not enough to flood, but a steady, dreary downfall that seems to only take a time out for a couple of hours here and there, before coming back again. Its cast the entire sooty Isle into a sombre and depressed mood. Alongside the rain, the weather is muggy and while not hot, is not particularly cool, either.

The rest of Northern Pern is getting their usual weather, though they, too, have been called to action following the wildfires that savaged Ista. Many individuals who called Ista Island home have been relocated not just to Ista Weyr, Ista Hold or Sea Cliff Hold, but also to other areas of Pern, whether with family or friends.

Month 08, 739 AL
North: Late Summer | South: Late Winter
17.4 to 25.5 C | 10.8 C to 23.2 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm - 37 to 45 C - has resulted in an incredibly dry summer, with little to no rain. This was climaxed by a dry thunderstorm, the results of which caused three fires to start across the Island on the 24.07.739 in the early morning hours. While the results of this are yet to be played out, the events will no doubt leave more than just the scarring of the land.

18.0 to 26.6 C | 10.2 C to 21.9 C

Ista is still unseasonably warm, with average weather being in the 37 to 45 C range, making it now a more than slightly undesirable escape for the rest of the Northern population from the more enjoyable early summer weather. There has been very little in the way of rain, though the coastal areas are no stranger to the salty wind. Ista's limited farmlands and fields are dry and dusty, with golden straw instead of grass where there is any growth at all.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern areas are still getting a lot of evening rain and the occasional thunderstorms, which cools down the populus and allows them to sleep easily without sweating their brains out like the Istans.

Month 11, 738 AL
North: Late Autumn | South: Late Spring

Autumn is coming to an end, with the days slowly becoming shorter still, with early nights and late mornings. The temperature is getting very cool, with jackets being more required, but it has yet to actually snow. Despite this, it is often raining and miserable.

The Southern contient is in full bloom, with flowers coming to life in the grasses and on the trees. The skies are bright blue with fluffy clouds, and occassional sunshowers bringing a dampness to the day. The nights are still crisp, but not cold. The ground is starting to dry up as water is absorbed by the blooming flora.

Month 10, 738 AL
North: Mid Autumn | South: Mid Spring

Autumn is in full tilt, with the leaves a shocking array of orange and red, and more of them on the ground than on the trees. The skies are often a clear and crisp blue, with a cool breeze flowing, shifting the leaves and sending them scattering. Rain is not common, but when it does roll in the skies are dark like night come early, and thunderstorms are not uncommon, though they don't last for long and the amount of rain that falls isn't too heavy.

Month 09, 738 AL
North: Start Autumn | South: Start Spring

Nothern regions are entering into Autumn, with the trees beginning to change to their reds and oranges, while the air is beginning to feel more crips. There are still more warm days than cool, and the nights are mostly warm enough for light bedding still. Rain has faded away and most days are clear and bright.

The Southern contient finds itself heading into spring, with rain and flowers vying for attention. The ground is often muddy and squishy, while the skies are either bright and blue, or overcast wtih fluffy clouds.

Month 08, 738 AL
North: End Summer | South: End Winter

Summer is winding to an end in the Northern hemisphere, with the weather slowly cooling and the trees beginning to turn their leaves. The days are still long and bright, but the sun is beginning to lose some of its strength.

The coastal Weyrs are falling victim to coastal storms, strong winds and heavy rains with thunder and lightening.

The more inbound Weyrs and Holds find themselves drier, not getting nearly as much rain or storms, they find themselves on the end of a long drought.

Month 07, 738 AL
North: Mid Summer | South: Mid Winter

Summer is in full spring in the Nothern hemisphere, with the bulk of each day being unbearbly hot, followed by vicious thunderstorms and heavy humidity in the evenings and at night.

The coastal areas are experiencing monsoon like weather, and spend a lot of their time locked away in Hold, Hall or Weyr.

The more inner locations find themselves faced with more dry heat during the day, and horrible humidity in the evening and at night while the thunderstorms rage.

Blonde, waist-length
Build:
General Description:
Eyes: Amorandii has large, expressive eyes that are the color of the sky on a clear summer day. Her golden eyelashes are thick and long, and she has delicately arched eyebrows of the same hue.

Hair: Amorandii has wavy white-blonde hair that falls nearly to her waist. She usually wears it loose because she likes the way it bounces against her back as she walks.

Height: 5'3 (still growing)

General Appearance: Petite, feminine, and pretty, Amorandii looks like a dainty little doll. She has alabaster skin with a few light scattered freckles on her nose and upper cheeks that nearly disappear in the winter and are beginning to fade as she gets older. Her big blue eyes glitter with curiosity and intelligence and she has an adorable cheeky grin. Her hair is so pale that it appears to have nearly no color at all unless the sun gleams upon its golden highlights. As she moves from childhood to adolescence, her figure is just beginning to bloom and her face is losing its childlike roundness, showing promise of the beauty that she will one day become.

Amorandii is meticulous when it comes to being clean. She takes a bath every day and abhors getting dirty. Whenever her gown becomes stained, she insists on changing into another one right away. She doesn't let her hair become tangled and messy and brushes it often. On windy days, she braids it so that it doesn't become mussed. Being lady-like is important to her and she doesn't run and shout like some children her age. Occasionally, she walks with a book on her head to improve her posture.
General Dressing Style:
Amorandii is always dressed in lovely gowns usually liberally adorned with lace, ruffles, beads, and pearls. She likes both pastel and bright colors, but is not fond of black. She loathes pants and won't wear them, not even under her dresses. Her new passion is jewelry sparkling with precious gems or iridescent pearls. On sunny days, she protects her fair complexion with a parasol that compliments her clothing.

Personality
Likes:
Dresses and Other Fine Things: Amorandii loves wearing soft, beautiful gowns dripping with lace, beads, and pearls. She has a new interest in jewelry and wants jewels to match all of her dresses. Her room is also decorated splendidly, mostly in her favorite color, pink.
Poetry: She likes to listen to and read poetry, but she also likes to write it.
Music and Dancing: Her father instilled in her a love of music and she delights in hearing him play. She adores dancing, and is graceful and creative.
Strengths:
Emphatic/Perceptive: Amorandii is sensitive to the emotions of others and can often tell what they feeling by listening and being observant.
Courteous: She is always polite to everyone, even drudges, which makes her popular around the Hold.
Adaptable: Amorandii adjusts quickly to any situation in which she finds herself, and is a natural at fitting in.
Dislikes:
Being Talked Down To:She's an intelligent young lady, not a silly little girl, and expects to be treated with respect.
Gossip and Bullies: Amorandii doesn't like to see people made fun of or lied about because they look or act different than everyone else.
Not Being Able to Have a Firelizard: She wants one dreadfully, and even though her aunt Andaleen promised her one for her sixteenth birthday, she's trying to show her that she's responsible and mature enough to get one for her thirteenth birthday instead.
Flaws:
Spoiled: Her father treated her like a little princess and she has become accustomed to getting her way. Amorandii especially doesn't like the word 'no.'
Wary: She has always been slow to trust strangers but her caution has increased in recent years because some girls try to befriend her thinking that she has influence with Lady Amarilla and not because they care for her at all.
Devious: Amorandii can be a cunning little thing, turning on the charm and sweetness to get what she wants.
Habits & Mannerisms:
Amorandii won't be caught dead in a pair of pants. She also has a habit of twirling a lock of hair around her fingers when she's daydreaming or distracted.
General Personality:
Amorandii is a sweet, cheerful, and polite young girl who almost always behaves herself in a ladylike manner. She is affectionate, playful, and has a mischievous streak, but those traits are reserved for the people she knows well. She's spoiled and accustomed to getting her way, and is quite adept at charming people into giving her what she wants. It's nearly impossible to resist her big imploring eyes and her wistful little pout.

She absolutely adores life in Telgar Hold. Living among the upper class is what she was made for, and it didn't take her long to fit in. Amorandii gets along well with the other children and has made several good friends, all girls who share her interests. Boys around her age are irritating, loud, and often dirty and she does not like them at all. The younger girls look up to her and think she's beautiful and fashionable, While she isn't really vain, she does love compliments.

Amorandii is kind and can often sense when somebody is upset or anxious. She tries to cheer them up and comfort them and is a very good listener when others just need someone to talk to. She has no tolerance for gossip and is quick to defend children who have been made fun of. Trust doesn't come easy to her but she is friendly and polite to everyone she meets. She just keeps them at arm's length until she feels that she can trust them.

A very intelligent young girl, she does well at her lessons and enjoys learning new things. Amorandii loves to read and she has a talent for writing poetry. When she shares it, she feels as if she is baring her soul to the world, and so far, she has only recited it to her father and brother and her aunt Andeleen. She loves music, having grown up listening to her father play. Amorandii can't play any instruments and her singing is only passable, but she dances beautifully and gracefully.

She is fond of her father's and brother's dragons and delights in going for rides on them, but she has no desire to become a dragonrider herself. When she grows up, she wants to marry the Lord of a major Hold and become its Lady. She thinks that she is perfect for such a prestigious position and is trying to learn all that she can from Lady Amarilla. Now that she is almost a teenager, she wants everyone to call her by her full name.

Threadfall Theory: She hopes it doesn't come back because her father and brother might be harmed, but if it does, she will be proud of them for fulfilling their purpose as dragonriders.
Stealing/Kidnapping: Amorandii was too young too understand at the time, but now she thinks it's sad and should have never happened.
Weryrleader S'kef: Again, she was too young to understand Weyr hierarchy and politics
Firelizards: She discovered them! Amorandii was, and still is, delighted with them and she wants nothing more than to have one of her very own.
Women's loss of honourifics: She has no opinion about this, as it had nothing to do with her.
Return North: She was elated, mainly because it resulted in her being fostered in Telgar Hold, where she got to know her aunt Andeleen and received a more comprehensive education.
Important History:
726 – 731, 0 - 5 years: Amorandii is born to two Weyrlingmasters. She spends half of her time with her father and the other half divided between her mother and the creche. She loves living with her father the most because he spoils her and treats her like a princess and she can play on his dragon with her half-brother, Indamor. Her mother is more distant and she absolutely hates the creche. She doesn't feel special there and she sometimes acts out to get attention.

732 – 733, 5 – 7 years: Amorandii moves in permanently with her father B'jin. When she's five, she discovers a firelizard clutch, the first since they all disappeared many turns ago. Her father and his partner both impress one and she loves playing with them. Her education begins and she takes to her lessons like a fish to water. Her father's partner R'nd ,,, whom she calls Uncle Orwind ... now lives with them and she quickly has him wrapped around her little finger, just like her father and brother.

734. 7 - 8 years: Her brother impresses a bronze and is now called N'mor. Amorandii is happy for him and adores his little dragonet. Later that night, her happiness turns to terror as a landslide destroys the Weyr. Luckily, she was staying with a friend who lived on the outskirts and wasn't harmed. But N'mor lost an arm and her mother died, along with many other people. Ever perceptive, Amorandii feels the losses keenly and becomes only a shadow of her former cheerful self. Her mood lightens when she finds out that she, along with her family, will be moving to Telgar Weyr.

735 – 739, 8 – 12 years:Amorandii is fostered by her Aunt Andeleen at Telgar Hold. She finds it strange at first, but she adjusts quickly and enjoys her new life immensely. She takes lessons with the other children who live there, and learns how to be a proper young lady. Amorandii visits her father, brother, and 'uncle' often and she charms both her aunt and the Lady of the Hold, who both become very fond of her.

Education
Details:
An enthusiastic student, Amorandii took well to her education. A quick learner, she finds her studies easier than most of the other children. She often helps those who need more practice or are struggling to understand a certain concept. She has an excellent head for numbers, is good at spelling, and her handwriting is neat and clear. Now that she lives in the Hold, her training has expanded to cover a more comprehensive range of subjects, which she devours eagerly.
