Current Plot Line;

After so many years lost to Pern, the reappearance of the Dragonriders in the North again was somewhat of a mixed blessing; while there were those who were delighted to see the Dragonriders take their place in the Weyrs once more, there were more than a few Holders who were disgruntled at having to supply tithe once more, and the Halls were outraged - after all, the Dragonriders had been stealing their best and brightest for over a decade, and were hardly sorry enough now they were back to please the Hall leaders.

With the Halls denying Search, and casting out anyone who wanted to be Searched, the Dragonriders were left with Searching the outlying Holdings, and the younger sons of the Lord Holders while currying favour to Search their daughters for the life and rank of Weyrwoman and Weyrlady, a set of hollow titles that the Dragonriders played up to the nines to encourage Search results, while in reality the women were left to manage Weyr accounting books and swelter on the Sands with their dragons.

With three of six Weyrs now running, each with a handful of gold apiece, many heads have turned towards the sky, where what appears to be the Red Star is beginning to flicker on the horizon. Will the dragonrider population be up to full strength before the threat of Thread is once more upon them? There are many that feel they are safe from such a threat, while other's feel that with the way the gold dragons have been produced and producing clutches, Threadfall is a very real threat that is almost upon them.

Where will you stand, in the bubbling mess of politics, rumours and the unknown?
